Friday, 29 February

Happy Leap Year. So got up this morning - sick.. ugh. Went to the gym still and did an arm and a chest workout. Work was okay, I was so out of it all day - it was hard to stay focused. At lunch time, went to Macy's for a minute and picked up a few things for Olivia. I have to stop shopping, she has so much clothing. :) I ended up leaving work a little bit, it was bad weather and I had to drive to my parents house to pick up Olivia. It took about 40 minutes to get there and about 40 minutes to get back home. Not too bad. Got home and fed the dogs and right after that, Kurt got home, he changed and headed right to Pronto to work. I cleaned up Olivia and we actually met up with Michael, Dan and Barry for dinner. It was really nice chatting with everyone. After dinner we got cup cakes - Thanks Barry. I then went to Krogers and did the grocery shopping for the week. Came home, fed Olivia and put her to bed, put away the groceries and went to bed. I still felt like crappola.

Thursday, 28 February

Got up pretty early, fed the animals then got dressed in my gym clothes. Changed Olivia and gave her a bottle, after she finished her bottle, she fell right back to sleep. Headed out to the gym and did some cardio and abs.... ouch. Sore. Kurt took Olivia over to my parents house. I had everything already packed and ready to go for him. So after gym, went to work - it was an okay day, went by pretty fast. At lunch, I did a shoulder workout. Back to the office and finished up my day. Got home after work and took out the trash, then fed the beasts. Oh - I forgot to mention, I went to Marlene's mothers funeral. It was very sad - glad I went though for Marlene. Kurt got home and we relaxed for a bit. At 7:30, we met up with Mark and John for dinner at Dino's. It was really dinner, had a good meal and good conversations. After dinner, we went over to Soho for a cocktail and play some pool. I actually won both games... woo hoo - go Eric. After that, came home and got packed up for work and went to bed. I was pretty tired so went to bed really early. Here is a picture of Olivia at 1 week old. So little - look how small she is. :)

Wednesday, 27 February

So today I met with several daycares - just thought I would interview different places closer to work. They went really well, some were definitely better than others. Rest of the day was spent working, I had a great morning - gym was okay and then my workday went by fast. Some sad news, our friend Marlene's mother passed away, so very sad about that. After work, picked up Olivia, I miss her so much when I don't get to see her - so I was so happy to pick her up. Since Olivia is with us full time now, it's so great to get her after work and bring her home. She was so talkative when I got her, just jibber jabbishing away. Brought her home and fed the animals, then cleaned up a bit - got her room all tidy. Fed her some juice and graham crackers, she was so happy about that. After that, changed her and we played. She still loves her new walker. She has a stuffed dog that she was chatting with too. If you tell her to give you a kiss, she will pucker her lips - and that just makes me so happy. Kurt got home and wasn't feeling very well so I made dinner and then cleaned up afterwards. Got ready for tomorrow, packed Olivia's bag for grandma's house and got her bottles all set. I then did some laundry and then put away the dishes form the dishwasher. I'm not feeling that great either so after that, fed Olivia her dinner and then we rocked for a while. She feel asleep in my arms, such a doll. Isn't she the cutest.

Tuesday, 26 February

Well, it's Official - We got word from the adoption agency that Olivia is "officially" our daughter, I mean she has been for a long time but now, it's gone through the courts so now she will be with us full time. No more having to drop her off / picking her up from the Foster parents. I'm so happy - it's been a long time coming. We are definitely going to celebrate this evening. So today was good except that I'm starting to get sick. Sore throat, achy and very tired. Forced myself to go to the gym, I thought I could sweat it out - I did sort of. Didn't have the same energy I normally have but got through it. At lunch time I did Arms, and now they are sore. For lunch, I had a lean cuisine and some yogurt. I called a bunch of Day care providers and set up appointments to meet with them. I have to get that all set up by next week. My parents are watching Olivia Thursday and Friday and daycare will be Mon - Wednesday. After work, got home, fed the animals then headed out to Midas to get an oil change and have my tires rotated. Did that and headed back home, we had dinner plans with Michael and Dan. We celebrated and I ate a lot - we even had dessert. After that, came back home and got everything ready for tomorrow (Wednesday). Watched the Biggest Loser in bed and fell asleep. Slept like crap because the cats decided at 3 am to start playing, they were jumping all over the bed... Ugh. So I'm sick and now tired even more. Monday, 25 February

Monday, new week - starts so early. Got up and fed the animals, made coffee, put the clothes in the dryer, started the dishwasher and then decided to lay back down for another 1/2 hour. So got up and showered then got Olivia up, gave her a bath, did her hair, got her dressed and then fed her. She is definitely a morning person. She was so talkative, just chatting away. She loves her new toys she got from Grandma - I couldn't pry them out of her hands. After getting ready, headed out to Mrs. White's house. Olivia has a physical today and 2 shots... I'm glad I'm not there for that. Work was good, went by fast. Lunch time, I did my cardio and some abs - got back to the office and had a "protein bar". I miss food. Finished my day and headed home. I got out of the office late, almost 40 minutes and by then traffic was horrible. Got home after 5:00. Fed the animals and by then, Kurt got home. Had a snack to eat, played some cards then ran a few errands. Went to get stuff for Olivia's hair and Kurt got new car floor mats. Came home, Michael and Dan came over for ice cream. Hung out a bit then I went to bed. I was tired... I slept straight through the night without getting up once.

Sunday, 24 February

Sunday was a really nice day. I got up with Olivia around 6:30 am, she was up and ready to go - I on the other hand was still sleepy. Fed her and then the animals, We then hung out and played - she was so talkative, she was giggling and talking "Da Da, Da Da, Da Da" she has learned all about her tongue - she sticks it out, she can almost touch the bottom of her chin, she can touch the top of her nose too, it's so funny. She was cracking me up. I gave her a bath and then got her dressed, Kurt got up then and we both got showered and dressed. We then headed out for Charlotte. The drive was quick and we stopped for something light to eat before hand. We were both starving. We got to Kurt's parents house and everyone was there, Mom, Dad, Grandma, Heather, Tahya, Avy, Scott, Lisa, Paige, Alec and Matt came later on. We played some games, ate lunch, Avy opened her gifts, had cake and ice cream and afterwards we played some Cribbage. It was a really fun day. Olivia got a walker and she loves it, she can sit in it and push herself around. Last night, she actually fell asleep in it and didn't even finish her bottle. So after the card game we headed out, it was around 5:40 or so. We got home around 7:15, I started cooking dinner (We were having some friends over for an Oscar party). So I made baked fries, salad and Manwiches. It was really good too. So we watched TV and ate, Olivia had her dinner and fell asleep (in the walker). So I put her to bed and she stayed asleep. It was a really nice day - I had a great time. PS - This is a picture of Olivia at just 1 week old.

Saturday, 23 February

Saturday was really fun. Got up at a decent time, had some coffee and watched some TV. The house was clean from yesterday so I ended up doing laundry and then going to the grocery store. Got a bunch of stuff for dinners and snacks for lunches. Then headed over to Mrs. Whites house to pick up Olivia. She just lit up when I saw her. So sweet. So brought her home and around noon, Michael, Kurt, Barry and I met up for lunch. We went to Nello's - I was starving so I ate a lot. Olivia was so good at the restaurant and there was a table of little kids that were loud and throwing stuff - Olivia was so well behaved. After lunch, we went to the mall - Macy's had a great sale on Kids clothing. I bought a few things for Olivia and I got a sweater 75% off and a shirt for Kurt. It was fun getting such good deals. We then got coffee and ice cream (I got fat free/sugar free yogurt). After that, headed back home so Kurt could relax before work. So I let him sleep for a while I fed Olivia and played with her. Made Kurt something to eat for dinner and then he left. I had to head out to Target to get a gift for Avy for her birthday, so did that and then came home and wrapped it. I also had some domestic stuff to do, had to sew up a few things, do the dishes and oh, I almost forgot - I gave both dogs baths. I ended up going to bed around midnight, Olivia fell asleep around 8:30. It was a fun day and I got a lot accomplished.

Friday, 22 February

Friday has finally arrived. So happy about that. It has been a good day, I got up early and had a great workout - pushed myself hard because I knew I would be eating bad over the weekend. Work went by fast, Fridays are like that. After work, came home and washed Kurt's uniform then made some snacks for us. He went into work and I had dinner with Michael and Dan. We hung out at Pronto for a while, played some pool, Todd joined us for a while, I beat Dan and Todd in Pool (woo hoo). Stayed out at the bar till 10:30 then went to M & D's house, we watched a movie. Everyone fell asleep during it so I left around midnight and went home to bed. It was a fun day.

Thursday, 21 February

It was a really nice day. Got a lot accomplished and I felt refreshed all day. Gym - good, work - good. Not much more to say than that. Got some really good news today about Olivia, her doctor gave her a clean bill of health and that is right on target. I was so happy to hear that. Also, heard from Judson Center, good news from them too - all the paperwork is inAfter work, got home and I was pleasantly surprised to see Kurt there. He left work early, he was working at Pronto in the evening so he got home early to relax for a bit. I made him a snack and did a crossword. The cats were laying on my legs and both dogs were laying next to me. I then decided to do some cleaning so I vacuumed, dusted and straighten up. Kurt left for Pronto and I did some laundry. Met up with Michael and Dan for dinner and we hung out afterwords. Played some Pool, happily - I won every game. :) Didn't stay out very late, I came home and went to bed.

Wednesday, 20 February

Got up around 5:00 am, made coffee, fed the animals and started taking down stuff in the kitchen. My goal was to get everything taped up and fill in the crown molding joints before Olivia got up. Kurt headed out to work and I was just about done with what I needed to do when Olivia woke up. So I got her up and fed her, changed her, dressed and did her hair. She looked so cute. She did scratch herself during the night, the same spot on her forhead. Poor thing. So I then got showered and dressed, packed up the car and took her to Mrs. White's house. Got to work in really good time, was there before 8:00 am. Work was good, busy so the day flew by. At lunch time, went to the gym and did 40 minutes of cardio and a few abs. The rest of the day went by fast. After work, got home and worked on painting the kitchen ceiling. It looks so much better, before it was a dingy white and there were several different shades of white scattered on the ceiling. So painting it a bright white just made it look really nice. Kurt got home and I was just about done. After finishing the painting, Kurt helped me remove the tape and then we cleaned up the kitchen really good. It was already after 7:00 when we got done so I got dressed real quick and we went out to dinner. Went to a middle eastern place, local, it was really good. After that, stopped at Walgreens for a bit and then headed home. Got home and watched a little TV before falling asleep. I was so tired.

Tuesday, 19 February

Got up and was actually refreshed. I woke up a few times during the night but still feel pretty good. So got to the gym and did a really good cardio workout. Work has been good, working on something new, it's time consuming and a little mundane but okay. At lunch time, went to the gym and did a back workout - ran into Dave Crane there. He is so nice, really like him. Chatted with him for a bit then got back to work. The afternoon is flying by - I have a busy evening so looking forward to leaving. After work, got home and fed the animals and then immediately started taping up the upstairs bathroom (painting the ceiling and crown molding). Got all the supplies a while ago but just not found the time to do it. I filled in holes and cracks with wood filler then painted. Lots of taping had to be done but got the bathroom done and during that, I was able to take everything out of there and clean the bathroom really good. Kurt got home and I had made dinner during the painting. I made Turkey Lasagna, it was really good - I also made honey green beans (that was delicious). After dinner, I cleaned up and then got out my regular paint supplies and worked on a picture. Painted and we watched TV, had some dessert and after that, went to bed. Olivia was so sweet all evening, she wanted to play so we played and then Kurt played with her - she is getting so talkative. Put her down to bed and she fell asleep pretty fast. I was having a hard time sleeping, kept thinking I was hearing her cry but I didn't. Mind just playing tricks on me. I need to get the baby monitor out of storage.

Monday, 18 February

New week... but closer to Spring. It actually stayed light out til almost 7:00 pm. Got up and checked on Olivia, she was wet so changed her and gave her a bottle. She fell back asleep right after that. She is pretty flemmy this morning - seems like a cold. Got the animals fed then loaded up my car, made coffee and headed out. Kurt took Olivia to my parents house and made much better time, so glad about that. Hopefully tomorrow he makes good time getting home. So work was fine, not much to say, working on an old report. At lunch, did an arm workout and lifted a lot more than normal. Finished work and went grocery shopping on the way home. I ran in Jen of Jen & Kandy. It was so nice seeing her. We chatted for a bit, she is so sweet. So bought stuff for dinners all week - I'm making Burritos/tacos tonight, Lasagna tomorrow and Meatloaf on Wednesday night. Thursday, Kurt is working at Prontos, so probably just going to eat left overs and Friday, Kurt is working again - so might go out with Michael and Dan. Okay, so got home - and made dinner - I have to say, it was really good. Kurt was so happy about dinner, he really liked it. We ate dinner and relaxed a bit. I did some laundry and put away the dishes, packed my gym bag and got coffee ready for Tuesday. Kurt ran to Home Depot to get some things for his closet. I worked on the kitche, filling in the crown molding with wood filler. Going to paint that and the ceiling tomorrow. Kurt got home and worked on his project and I got out my paints, working on a new painting for Olivia's room. I have a series of pictures, almost done with them. They are really cute. After that, pretty much went to bed. Fun night.

Sunday, 17 February

Got up around 5:30 this morning, Olivia is a little congested so she woke up. I fed her and changed her - she fell back asleep soon after. Tried to go back to bed for a bit but I was up. Got up and made coffee, fed the animals and watched a little TV. Olivia woke up, so gave her a bath, changed her and did her hair. After that, I got showered up and so did Kurt - we then went to Home Depot. Kurt needed something for his closet - so he ran in and got it. We then went over to Jim and Bill's house for brunch. It was really nice - the food was great and enjoyed the company that was there. Right from there, we headed over to Como's for Mark's Birthday brunch. Didn't eat, but had coffee and hung out for a little bit. Everyone loved Olivia. After that, Kurt went to Snookers with Mark, John and Kerrin while I went home with Olivia. Stopped at Blockbuster on the way and got some movies. Came home and hung out with Olivia, she played and we watched a movie. She fell asleep for a little bit, so I shoveled the ice on the driveway. Ouch, hurt my back doing that. Around 5:00, I picked up Kurt - Olivia was wide awake at that point and a little cranky. I think she is coming down with a cold. So got home and did some laundry, packed up her bag for Grandma's house, packed up my gym bag and got my clothes ready for Monday then laid down for a little bit. Kurt picked up some Chinese food for us for dinner, it was so good and I was starving. Ate the whole thing, usually only eat half of my meal. So after eating, I watched Olivia and then fed her dinner. She fell asleep in my arms, so I put her to bed and then got ready for bed myself. Watched a little TV and fell asleep.

Saturday, 16 February

Slept horrible, was all stressed out over getting a baby sitter for this evening. Got up around 5:30, fed the animals and got my gym clothes on. Headed out to the gym - did a chest workout. Saw Barry there. After the gym stopped and got some Tim Horton's coffee and two muffins. Got home and took a shower, got dressed and then headed out to pick up Olivia. She looks great - her skin is looking wonderful. Found the combination to use on it. So happy about that. After getting her home, changed her and we played for a good two hours. We then went out for a late lunch, it was really nice - so happy about this, we found a great babysitter. Chelsea, a girl we know from Pronto is going to babysit for us. We went to DSW and Kurt got a new pair of shoes, we then headed home and I cleaned up while Kurt got some snacks for Chelsea and a card for Bill. Chelsea got to our house around 6:25, we went over everything and then headed out to Bill's surprise party. It was such a great party, so much - too much to even write about. Jim went all out for this party. Lots of people we knew were there, it was a very fun evening. We had to leave around 10:30, got home shortly after. Cheslea said Olivia was wonderful and didn't cry at all. :) Such a good girl. She left and I pretty much went to bed, watched a little TV and fell asleep. It was such a fun night.

Friday, 15 February

Friday already. This week has gone by fast. I'm happy about that. Busy weekend - we have a surprise birthday on Saturday and two birthday brunches on Sunday. Looking forward to tomorrow, should be a really fun time. So at lunch time went to the bank to deposit a check and the woman said that I gave her the wrong account information. Well - basically my bank was bought out by another bank 20 or so years ago and they never changed over the account from the previous bank numbers to the current. Last week, they made the change - but I didn't know about it. My own fault, I'm sure they sent me something but I never read it. A 5 minute transaction took about 45 minutes. So instead of going to the gym at lunch, I went to the mall and had a coffee with Dan. After that, headed back to the office and finished up my day. I got home and gathered my Tax information, I had an appointment to get my taxes done at 6:00 pm. It took a little over an hour and after that got home and made dinner. Michael came over, I made Chicken Club sandwiches and baked fries. It was pretty good, I also made a chocolate marshmallow cake. That was very good. We watched a movie and I pretty much fell asleep during it - I get so tired lately in the evening. After the movie, I went to bed. It was a relaxing evening.

Thursday, 14 February

It's Valentines Day..... Happy V D. Got up this morning and made some coffee, fed the beasts gave Kurt his Valentines Gift. I hope he likes it. Got ready for the gym and headed out. It's dang cold outside. So did a 40 minute cardio and some situps. I'm tired today, I think I need to drink more water - I don't drink enough. I skipped lunch but did go to the gym and did shoulders. Okay, so after work came home and I rearranged the living room furniture. I really like it, it's never been changed since we bought the furniture. It's definitely more of a sitting area now. So hung up the clock I got Kurt and then cleaned completely the living room and kitchen. I even mopped the floors. I want to look really nice for Kurt. I also took out the trash to the curb. Kurt got home and liked the layout. We went out to dinner, just took Kurt out to Pronto - we had dinner then hung out with some friends, played some pool then went home. Watched "Make me a super model" then feel asleep.

Wednesday, 13 February

Got up around 5:00 and shoveled outside. There was about 4 more inches on the ground and it's cold cold cold. Made up bottles and then finished up the laundry. Around 6:00, took a shower and got dressed. Around 6:30, it was time to get Olivia up - had to bathe her and do her hair. I had already packed up her stuff to take to Mrs. White's house. She ate and around 7:30 I packed up the car and headed out. Dropped off Olivia and was at the office by 8:30. I'm bummed I couldn't go to the gym but maybe after work. Work, okay - having issues with a report, it makes my computer freeze when I try to run it so very frustrating. Stayed in for lunch, making up for being late. Finished my day and went to Target to pick up something for Kurt for Valentines Day. I got a giant clock we have been looking at. It's really nice. So did that and got some Oreo cookies :). Got home, fed the animals and by then Kurt got home. We watched some TV, played cards and then played Wii for a little bit. I heated up left overs for dinner, we ate and then I cleaned up a bit. Vacuumed, cleaned the kitty liter, dusted and got stuff ready for Thursday. Watched Project Runway - bummed that Sweet Pea is out, she was my favorite. Fell asleep shortly after that.

Tuesday, 12 February

Got up and had a really good workout this morning. Did cardio and 1/2 arm workout to make up for yesterday. It's been a good morning - get to head out to the gym for lunch in a little bit. Went to the gym and did a back workout -sore. After the gym, I got back to work and finished the day. We got a huge snow storm and the roads were horrible. It took me about 40 minutes to get home but that was nothing to what Kurt had to go through. It took him 3 hours to get Olivia and get home. I picked up KFC for dinner, I thought that would cheer him up. Kurt was not in a good mood. We ate dinner, it was delicious. I had shoveled but we got another 4 inches after I did that. I fed Olivia and changed her, she was very talkative and playful. I played with her and she was just so adorable. After a while she got tired so I put her down to bed. I cleaned up and did some laundry then went to bed.

Monday, 11 February

Alarm went off and I was not ready to get up. Ended up skipping the gym in the morning and sleeping a little longer. Got up around 5:45, fed the animals, made coffee, took a shower, got dressed and then checked in on Olivia. She was still sound asleep. Got to work really early. At lunch time went to the gym and did a 40 minute cardio and half of an arm workout. The rest of the day went by quickly so no complaints. After work had to run to the mall to return some shoes that I got for me and Olivia, then went to English Gardens to pick up some flowers then headed home. Kurt had the day off, so he was home when I got there. He was busy cleaning the house all day. We decided to go to the movies - we saw "Meet the Spartans". It was dumb but funny. We also went to Target to pick up some Dog Food and soda. It was a really nice evening, we had a great time and it was nice going out. Got home early, (it was an early show) - we watched some TV and relaxed. Kurt made us some Macaroni and Cheese, it was delicious. Went to bed shortly after that. It was a really nice day.

Sunday, 10 February

Got up and fed the animals.... I was so tired but dogs woke me up, once I'm up - I'm up. So had some coffee made cinnamon rolls and watched a little TV. Olivia got up around 8:00, changed her and fed her - she was in a testy mood all morning. She just wanted to be held and everytime I tried putting her down she cried. The worst thing is that when she cries her eczema flares up. So I held her for a while and she fell asleep in my arms. Kurt got up and cleaned up his closet, I finished doing laundry and put the dishes away. At noon, went over to Todd's house to let Mikey out - he's such a good dog. Played with him for a little bit then headed back home. Kurt was playing with Olivia when I got there. She woke up from her nap. So we all got cleaned up and went to Target to get a few things. Had to get new pajamas for her (see yesterday) and picked up a few other things. We stopped at the grocery store on the way back, Kurt picked up stuff for a salad. We then went over to Michael and Dan's house for dinner. Michael made Blonde Minnestrone soup and we brought the salad. Dinner was really good and we had a really good dessert too. Thanks MC. We played Scene It after dinner, that was fun - played two games. Then we headed home so I could put Olivia down. Kurt went out to meet up with Kerrin, I stayed in and got stuff ready for Monday. Packed Olivia's stuff for Grandmas house, got the bottles ready, packed my gym bag, got clothes ready and then went to bed. I had all four animals sleeping with me. Woke up around 12:30... had a hard time falling back to sleep. Kurt got in around 2:00, I was able to sleep then.

Saturday, 9 February

Got up a couple times during the night to help Olivia fall back to sleep. Found out some things more about her skin and allergies. She is allergice to polyester - found that out the hard way. Put her in Polyester pajamas - and after being in them for only a few minutes, she had bumps all over her body and little sores. It's been so aggravating not knowing what will set her skin off. So did a bunch of research and I ordered two air purifiers - one for her bedroom and one for downstairs. Hopefully that will help out with things, I got rid of all the polyester pajamas and bought more 100% cotton PJ's. Okay, so got up at 5:00 am, did Olivia's hair and changed her - then took her downstairs to let Kurt get some sleep. We sat and she played - I had a lot of coffee. The breakfast bar didn't open until 7:00, so we got to spend some quality time together. She is so happy and chatty, especially in the morning. She is talking a lot and giggles all the time. Around 7:30, Kurt came down then the rest of the family was down shortly after. Had a little to eat and then headed up stairs to get cleaned up. We had to be dressed and ready to go by 9:45. We got all packed up and headed out to the Funeral Home by 10:00 am. It was a very nice funeral, sad of course but it was very touching. It was nice to see Tammy and Sophia, had a long chat with them, met another parent that has a child with eczema (Cayden). Learned a lot and we compared notes on the eczema. After the funeral, we went to the church and had a nice lunch. Met a lot of very nice people, relatives of Kurt I hadn't met before and family friends. Everyone was very nice and I enjoyed our chats. After lunch, I had to get back on the road - long ride and there was a big snow storm coming. So got on the road, followed Kurt all the way home, we stopped at the Tanger Outlet Mall. Got some stuff at Banana Republic - really cheap. I got a sweater and two polo shirts for only $23.00... Great deals. I also got two pair of shoes for Olivia at the Stride Rite outlet store. We then got home around 4:30. Fed the dogs and put everything away from the trip. Gave Olivia a bath (she had an explosion in her diaper) and then went to Blockbuster to get a few movies and picked up some soda. We watched a movie (The dumbest one ever - Blond and Blonder, it was Kurt's choice) - it was so bad. I feel asleep through it and woke up at the end of it. Went to bed, so tired.

Friday, 8 February

It's Friday... long week is coming to an end. Got more snow last night, not a lot just enough to be a pain to drive in. Kurt is heading out this morning to Grand Rapids, I will be heading out right after work. Everything is all packed so should just have to stop home for a little bit, feed the dogs, then go get Olivia and from there we will be on the road. Been trying to find someone to watch the dogs, it's always a pain. I contacted our Dog Sitting service but not sure if that will happen..... So Michael and Dan are going to let the dogs out tonight and Todd will let them out tomorrow. Picked up Olivia at 5:00 pm and was on the road by 5:30 pm. The ride wasn't too bad, Olivia slept for about 2 hours - she was up for the last 30 minutes. I had to reach my had around to hold her hand, she didn't cry when I did that. Got to Grand Rapids and Kurt helped me unload my bags, we immediately got changed for the pool - even Olivia.. I wish I got a picture of her in her bathing suit. She looked so cute. So took her swimming for a little while and played with the kids - Paige, Avy, Tahya and Alec. It was a lot of fun. After swimming, got changed and then watched some TV with the kids and Kurt. I had too much caffeine and was up all night....

Thursday, 7 February

Olivia turned 7 months yesterday. :) Happy Birthday Olivia. Thursday, was an okay day. Still tired and the drive to work was bad (lots of snow). So got to the gym, did an hour of cardio then got to work. Long day and had a hard time staying awake, with the heat pouring in - it made it difficult to keep eyes open. At lunch did a shoulder workout, Kurt met me up at the gym. It was a fun workout. I did pick up Olivia's pictures and they turned out so nice. I'm so happy with them. Got a haircut after work and then headed home. Spent some time cutting the pictures (they were in sheets) so did that then cleaned up a bit. Kurt surprised me and got me a nice pair of jeans from Macy's. I packed my suitcase for Grand Rapids (Friday) and Olivia's stuff as well then cleaned up a bit, got my tax stuff together then warmed up some dinner for us. Kurt wanted to go out but I was beat, long day and really tired so just watched some TV and fell asleep pretty early. Heading out tomorrow for Grandpa's funeral.

Wednesday, 6 February

Mid week already..... We had a big snow storm today. They said 8 inches - I think it might have been a little more. Work wasn't bad, got to work before the snow storm started. It started around 3:00 or so and it didn't stop all evening. Left work about 10 minutes early but to no avail. It took about 45 minutes to get home (normally 17). Fed the animals and did some laundry, then started on the Laptop again. So I figure out the problem... ha, I'm so dumb sometimes -the issue was that the modem had to be restarted.. I reformatted the laptop for nothing. Oh well, it needed it anyway. Now it's all set up again and works great. Kurt made the best dinner last night. We had a really good meal on Sunday at Chipolte - so he recreated it. Chicken, rice, peppers with a sweet/zesty/spicy sauce. So good. I ate way too much. We had a good night, played some Wii again, relaxed. I got my closet back together again finally (started on Sunday), I got laundry done and got the laptop working so I feel pretty accomplished about it all.

Tuesday, 5 February

Got up this morning, felt a little more refreshed - still tired but got to the gym and did a pretty good cardio. Work, okay - busy stuff. Working on some new things. Sent Kurt a bunch of stuff on the LSAT exams. I was taking practice exams too just to see how I would do. I'm really good with the Logical reasoning... Need to work on my reading comprehension. Anyway - work good, lunch time workout good. Did chest - it's tight now. I've been gaining some weight, darn medication is making me feel gross, nauseous a lot and I'm retaining fluids. I'm started to feel swollen. Ugh. Anyway - after work, got home and I got us Thai food to cheer Kurt up. Picked up his favorite. We ate dinner and played some Wii and relaxed. I worked on the laptop some more. Can't figure out what is wrong with it. Had to take Olivia back to Mrs. White's house... Ugh, last time I keep telling myself. She was so sweet. Gave her a bath and she kept saying Da Da, Da Da, Da Da... She smiled and chatted while I bathed her. What a sweet angel. After getting her dressed and packed up, took her back and chatted with Mrs. White for a little while then went home. :( After that, pretty much went to bed. Picking up Olivia on Friday so only a few days.

Monday, 4 February

Got up and fed the dogs, made lunches then got Olivia all set. Kurt was taking her to my mom's house for day care. I got to the gym and did a really good hour cardio. After that, got to work and had a pretty good day. I was a little tired, didn't sleep all too well last night so during the afternoon I almost fell asleep. Grandpa Berrevoets passed away today, we are all very sad but now we know he isn't in pain or suffering. The funeral will be in Grand Rapids this weekend. I'm heading up Friday after work with Olivia, Kurt is going in the morning. I know Kurt wished he spent more time and visited - with Death, it just makes you think more about what's important. So afterwork, I made Kurt some dinner, we were going to meet with Aaron for dinner but wasn't feeling up to it. Dinner was good, grilled chicken and rice. Ate too much, been overeating lately... Ugh. So after dinner, cleaned up and started working on the laptop. Have to reload everything. We watched a little TV and went to bed.

Sunday, 3 February

Got up a couple of times during the middle of the night, Olivia was a little restless. So got up around 6:30 and fed the animals and had some coffee. It was nice to just sit and watch a little TV and relax before anyone else was up. Around 7:30, Olivia got up so fed her and gave her a bath. She was just chatting away, so happy and content. Got her cleaned up and then dressed. Around 11:00 am, Olivia was exhausted - we had been playing for about 3 1/2 hours and she was tired. So put her down for a map then I started cleaning out my closet and the laundry room. Kurt was cleaning the bedroom - we took out one of the dressers - it makes the room look so much bigger. So I was organzing the basement and then Olivia got up. Fed her and got her changed, I made lunch for us and then made the appetizer to take to Joe's Superbowl party. We went over to his house around 5:30 and had a really great time. Everyone was in love with Olivia, she was such a good little baby. Everyone was commenting on how content she was. She is a good girl. We left right after half time and stopped at Michael and Dan's house to see their new puppy before going home. Luckily, I had everything packed for tomorrow and all the bottles done. So put Olivia down and then went to bed soon after. What a nice weekend.

Saturday, 2 February

Got up early.... ugh - Dogs wanted to eat. Fed the animals and made some coffee. Decided to stay up and do some laundry. Did that and watched a little tv then got showered and dressed. Picked up Olivia at 10:00 am, I get so excited when I get to see her. Not seeing her for 3 days is tough, I miss her a lot. Only one more week of this and then it will be official. She will be our little girl. So picked her up and got home. She was out cold so put her to bed for a bit and then painted for a little while. We ran a few errands, then had some dinner. I had a baby sitter for an hour so we could go to Johnny's birthday get together. I ended up coming home within 45 minutes, Kurt stayed out. Got back to Mike and Dan's, Olivia was asleep. She was so cute - so took her home and then went to bed myself. I was a little tired.

Friday, 1 February

Staring Olivia, Hudson & Ivy!

It's February and we started off with a lot of snow. Supposedly, we are expecting 10 - 12 inches... I'm not sure we will get that much but we will get quite a bit. I just got an email from the portrait studio and it has small copies of Olivia's pictures. I'm so happy how they turned out. She looks like a little angel. I was seriously on the verge of tears because I was so overwhelmed with how happy I was/am with the pictures. I'm attaching them to check out. After getting home, fed the animals and cleaned up a bit. Then played Wii for a while. Love doing the fitness test, came back as age 24. Kurt got home and he played for a bit too, then made some chocolate chip cookies (he ordered some premade cookie dough from boss). We then both got cleaned up and went out to dinner at Pronto. We met up with Todd and Michael. Had a couple bites of salad, not very hungry. After that, played some pool - then headed out to pick up Dan. We all then went to SOHO, hung out with Mark and John. Played some pool there then went to GC for a bit. Got home and went right to bed. Fun night but very tiring. ut.
