Sunday, 31 August

Sunday morning, Ugh - I was so tired but was able to sleep in until 8:00 am which was nice. Fed the animals, got showered and then headed out to pick up Olivia. Stopped for some Tim Horton's coffee on the way. It was so good. Picked up Olivia and hung out with my mom for a while - always nice spending time with her. After getting home, I got Olivia cleaned up and dressed and we had a daycare interview. So went to that, it went well - then came home. Kurt got up, so picked him up and then we met up with Mike and Dan for lunch. Dan was really nice and picked up the tab (Thanks Dan). After lunch, came home put Olivia down for a nap. Big mistake, she took the socks off her hands and scratched her arms and legs really bad. Poor thing, this eczema thing is just so horrible. SO got her up and gave her a bath then lotioned her up. After that, took her outside to play with some of her outside toys. She had fun and it was a good way to get her tuckered out. Around 7:00 pm, fed her dinner and then we had quiet time. I read a story and then put her to bed. She was pretty tired and went to bed within a few minutes. After that, cleaned up for a bit, did some laundry and that was pretty much it for a day.

Saturday, 30 August

Got up this morning, a little early - Olivia's cold/allergies were bothering her and now Kurt's allergies are as well. So got up and took care of Olivia, gave her some medicine and she was fine. Gave her a bath and then got her dressed. We went for a walk around the block, watered the flowers, played with some of her toys. It was a really nice morning. Around 9:00, we picked up Mike and then went to the gym. Olivia stayed at the gym daycare while Mike and I worked out. It was a really good workout, I pushed myself. After the gym, we got Olivia and ran a few errands. I had to get some Lei's for a luau party. We then met up with Kurt for lunch at the Coney Island. Lunch was really good. After lunch, came home, got Olivia changed and then headed over to my parent's house. Olivia was staying with Grandma and Grandpa tonight. After dropping her off, we came home and I relaxed for a bit while Kurt went to the casino with Mike and Dan. Kurt won $250.00 woo hoo. I got cleaned up and headed over to Mark and John's house. Kerrin was there already and Joel showed up shortly after. It was a really fun evening, the luau party was a good time and then afterwards we headed up to Pronto to hang out with Kurt for a while. I wasn't out to late, home around 12:30. Fun day.

Friday, 29 August

It's Friday. Long weekend ahead. Looking forward to that.... Got up early to try and get Olivia up, have her play for a while so she will be tired to go back to bed. We got up at 4:30 and played for a good two hours, fed her some rice cereal and milk and then she was out cold. She slept from 6:30 to about 9:30, that gave Kurt about 6 hours of sleep. (More than what I get :) So got to work around 7:00 am, it was a pretty slow day - lots of people had taken off for the long weekend. At lunch time, I got out of the office for a little bit then got a scone at Panera. It was so good, the scone was just made and the icing on it was still warm. After lunch, finished up a few things and then left a little early. Actually, Boss let us go early... So headed home and it was really nice to get out early. Olivia was at the door when I got home, big smile... It was so sweet. Kurt had made some dinner so that was a really nice surprise too. He worked at 7:00 pm, so we had some time to eat, go for a walk and relax for a bit before he had to head out. Gave Olivia a bath and then we played outside, she played in her car, we took a walk and she was exhausted before 8 pm. She fell asleep in my arms, just so sweet. After putting her to bed, I had some dinner and then watched a little TV before falling asleep.

Thursday, 28 August

It's been a really good morning - feeling really good, lots of energy - unfortunately Olivia either has a cold or allergies are acting up. She is all stuffed up and her nose is draining a lot. So got her up and dressed, she wanted to sleep - so after getting her dressed I laid her back down and she went right back to sleep. Got the car packed then got Olivia (asleep) and put her in the car seat. She slept the entire way to daycare. After dropping her off, got to the gym, good workout. Work was good - busy still but next week the interns come in so it won't be as bad. After work, picked up Olivia and headed home. Daycare will be closed on Friday so Kurt is going to watch her all day. He is working tonight so it's going to be tough for him having to get up. I will probably get up extra early and and get Olivia changed and fed, play with her and then put her back down to sleep. He should get some more rest that way. So after getting home, I got Olivia cleaned up and fed. She was huuunnngrrryyy. After dinner, I had to go run a few errands so we got in the car and took care of a few things. Came back home and put Olivia to bed, she was out cold. I watched a little TV and went to bed.

Wednesday, 27 August

I'm getting so frustrated with this blog.... Updates are not showing up... Ugh. I make an update or a change and it's not showing up until the next day. Oh well... hopefully they can resolve this issue. Wednesday was a really good day, got up feeling pretty energized - got enough sleep and I had my favorite coffee waiting for me when I woke up. Same usual stuff. I did my cardio, pushed it pretty good this morning. Got to work and it was a really busy day. Some meetings and lots of busy work. At lunch, I did a back workout and I'm sore now. Ugh. After work, got Olivia and we headed home. Kurt was at work so I rushed home and fed the animals. Got my stuff ready for Thursday, fed Olivia, got her cleaned up, did a load of laundry, fed the fish, cut the grass (Front and Back) and did all that before Kurt got home at 6:00. When Kurt got home, he brought dinner with him, it was so good. I got a Turkey Reuben but with Coleslaw instead of sour kraut. Delicious. After dinner, cleaned up a bit then got on Facebook for a little bit. Gave Olivia her bath and got her in pajamas. We had so much fun. Such a doll. After that, Chelsea came over and watched Olivia for a few hours so Kurt and I could go out for a bit. It was really nice, had a great evening and home pretty early still so I could get some sleep. It was a wonderful day.

Tuesday, 26 August

Got up - felt okay, little tired but not bad. Day was good, did my usual stuff: animals - food, baby - food, change, dress, coffee - yum, daycare, workout, work. Been so busy at work - not really able to even get away from my desk. At lunch - I did get a good chest workout in. Back to work and basically, looked at my desk clock and it was time to go. Picked up Olivia and she came running to the door... She is so fast. Got her in the car and we were off to home. Got home and Kurt was cooking dinner, my favorite - Chicken Mole. So was a little irritated and took it out on Kurt.... I was tired and so busy all day, stopped at the grocery store on the way home for a few things so I didn't get home til after 5:00 pm. SO when I got home, I was just irritated that the house was a mess.... so started picking up stuff and cleaning Olivia's room, the laundry, put away the dishes in the dishwasher... plus give Olivia a bath, put away her clothes, vacuum, take out the garbage....I was just irritated.. I got over it though. SO to make it up to Kurt - I got him some ice cream (Cupcake Ice cream). Around 8:00 pm, I got Olivia to bed, got my stuff ready for Wednesday and then we had our treat. Big Brother was on tonight and I was excited to watch that so watched that and pretty much went to bed after that.

Monday, 25 August

Back to work - It was a good day though. Olivia was in a fantastic mood - she was laughing and smiling, in the car ride to daycare - she was chatting away. Work was good, busy - lots going on, some big meetings. Enjoyed my day a lot and it went by fast. So cardio in the morning and at lunch did an arm workout. Saw Dave Crane, such a nice guy. After work, (Left a little early) - Picked up Olivia (Good news, our Court Date for the finalizing of everything with the adoption is scheduled for September 12) So anyway, got her home and cleaned up and we then immediately left for the Tanger Outlet mall. We were meeting Kurt's parents for dinner there. We got there a little early so we shopped for a second - got Olivia a new outfit and a few shirts. Had dinner, it was really nice, Avy came also. So cute. So had dinner and Olivia was getting a little stir crazy so we walked around outside. She was running down the street just having a blast. We then went back to the outlet stores and got a few more things. It was a really nice evening. After that, headed home - Olivia was asleep for most of the ride and stayed asleep when I changed her into pajamas and put her to bed. Watched a little TV and went to bed.

Sunday, 24 August

I had a really great day today. Got up around 7:00 or so with Olivia. She was up and crying, so fed and changed her. We then hung out downstairs... I moved all the furniture downstairs and laid on the ground. Olivia was having fun running over to me and then jumping on my back. She thought it was the funniest thing... I got to relax a bit so it was fun for me too. After that, I decided to really clean the downstairs, I got out the carpet cleaner, the furniture polish, glass cleaner and the leather polisher. I cleaned the downstairs from wall to wall, floor to ceiling. Olivia helped me out too, anything I did - she mimmicked. After 2 hours, I was done so then it was time to get cleaned up. I gave Olivia a bath and then showered. Was going to meet Mike and Dan for breakfast, but Dan wasn't home yet and Kurt was sleeping. We then decided to do lunch instead, by noon - Kurt was up and so Dan was home. So we went to a place in Royal Oak, it was good - I had a burger and we split a piece of chocolate cake. Yum. Olivia was asleep at the beginning of lunch but woke up to eat. After that, came back to the house - hung out for a bit and then Dan, Mike and I went to the casino while Kurt stayed home with Olivia. I had fun, it was fun to get out for a couple of hours. Came home, Kurt had to leave for work. Later on in the evening, Mike and Dan came over for dinner and I worked on Dan's new laptop. After that, they left and I put Olivia to bed. Got my stuff ready and then watched Big Brother before going to sleep. Nice weekend.

Saturday, 23 August

Got up this morning, felt really good. Got some good sleep - I put all the animals downstairs so no barking when Kurt got home, no cats jumping on the bed at 5:00 in the morning... It was great. So got up and fed the animals then got Olivia up. She was already up, just jumping on the bed. I was suppose to go to the gym at 8:00 am but the daycare at Bally's didn't open until 9:00 am. I called the day before and the receptionist said 8:00 but they were wrong. So instead I worked out at the house. Took Olivia on a run and then we lifted weights in the garage. The video is her imitating me working out. She is the cutest little girl ever... She is just so bright and amazing. So check out the video...it's funny. After working out (It took for every because I had to keep her occupied between sets), fed the fish, watered the plants outside and then came inside. I had already fed Olivia breakfast but she was hungry so I gave her some apple slices and juice. We then did some laundry and straightened up a bit. It was a really nice morning...to afternoon. Kurt got up around noon, so after that - we decided to get some lunch at Pizza Hut. I was craving pizza big time...it was really good but it effected our stomachs big time. So had lunch then went to Target. Got a few things and then we came home. I then decided to make some cookies, made Oatmeal Chocolate chip for Kurt. They turned out really good. Kurt took some to work and I made some for Mike and Dan. After that, I cleaned up the house, vacuumed and polished the furniture. Olivia and I had the best early evening, we played and I chased her around the couch (she loves that), fed her dinner and then at 8:00 pm, Joel's cousin Julia came over to watch Olivia. Soon after that, Joel and I left to go to Como's. We met up with Mark, John, Kerrin, Sean, Mike and Dan. We then went to Pronto, saw Kurt there and hung out for a bit. Didn't stay out to late, got home around 12:15 or so, took Julia home and then came home to bed.

Friday, 22 August

So I know I'm a little crazy... trying to come up with Halloween Costume Ideas for Olivia... have to prepare in advance.... So for a while I'm going to be putting up different ideas... just seeing what costume Olivia NEEDS to have. First was Ronald McDonald now, I'm thinking Carmen Miranda... So this morning, got up a little early - got Olivia up and tried to get her tuckered out so that she would go back to sleep in a fer hours.. reason being, Daycare is not open today and Kurt would be with her all day long by himself. He worked last night so I know he will be tired, so I stayed until about 7:30 before I left for work. Olivia played from about 5:00 am to about 7:20. She was then exhausted and went back to bed.... She got up around 9:20 or so - so Kurt got about 6 hours of sleep..that's more then I get so I don't feel too bad. Plus when she naps later on in the day, he can rest again then. Work is good, It's flying by... After work, got home and Olivia was all smiles. She came running to the door, made me feel really good. Kurt did a great job watching her all day - he said it was a lot of work (I think he understands now how tough it is for me everynight). So after that, I relaxed with Kurt and Olivia and we ate dinner. Kurt cooked a really good meal for us and lots of left overs for Olivia to eat. So ate dinner, Olivia ate a lot - almost 3 portions of Macaroni and Cheese (small portions but 3 none the less). After feeding her, gave her a quick bath and then changed her into pajamas. We then played for a long time, Kurt had to leave for work... busy weekend for him. The rest of the night was spent keeping Olivia busy and then it was time for her to go to bed. She fell asleep pretty quick, she was tuckered out. After that, I read for a while and then fell asleep. I really enjoyed the evening, nice and relaxing.

Thursday, August 21

It's Thursday all ready... Wow this week has gone by fast. Morning/Afternoon are pretty much like normal. I did go to the gym at lunch - quick arm workout. So after work, picked up Olivia and I discovered something. She loves Sugar Waffer Cookies. I picked some up at the cafeteria at lunch time today, had a few but saved some for her. When I got her in the car, I gave her one - and she loved it.... She made "cooing" sounds and rocked back and forth. When she finished the cookie, she reached out her hand and said what sounded like "More". I gave her another, she did the same thing, another - same thing and then I gave her the last cookie - after finishing she it - she reached out her hand - but that was it... She said "More, More, More"... after that, she fell asleep, must have been a sugar rush. Got her home and changed her, the did a few things around the house. Kurt hung out with Olivia for a while. It was nice, Kurt had all the garbage at the curb already. So I then got Olivia some dinner, she was hungry and so happy. She would take a bite of food and then dance around in a circle, come back for a nother bite and do the same thing. It took about 25 minutes to feed her. After that, got her into pajamas and then we danced around the living room. Kurt went into work then... At 7:30, Chelsea came over and watched Olivia for a couple of hours - it was really nice of her, she volunteered to babysit and to do it for free. So I picked up Michael and we went to dinner. Ate and then visited with Kurt for a bit. Only out for about 2 hours. Dropped him off then came home. Talked with Chelsea for a while and then went to bed. Olivia was sound asleep.... snoring away.

Wednesday, 20 August

It's been a good day, no complaints. Got up, little tired but okay. Did all my usual stuff..blah blah blah. Trying to stay focused at work, so busy... Like that though. Lots of meetings, new projects, new responsibilities. Working longer days than I have been in the past.... At lunch, I went to Kroger and picked up some stuff for Olivia, Rice Cereal, some new snacks, lunch stuff. It's great that we are able to give her more foods now...so far we have re-introduced Milk and Wheat back into her diet. No problems so far. After that, read and ate my lunch. Finished up work and picked up Olivia. She was as happy as can be. Got her home and feed her a snack and some juice. Tried to get all my nightly stuff done before Kurt left for work, that way I can spend some more time with Olivia. SO packed up her lunch, made my lunch, got coffee ready to go, got the animals food ready, did some laundry, packed my gym bag and got my outfit for tomorrow ready. By the time I was done with that, Kurt had to take off for work. So I gave Olivia her bath and got her all lotioned up and dressed, then made her dinner. After that, for about 2 hours we played donwstairs... I did sit ups while she jumped on me. She is too funny. Around 8:00 pm, I gave her some Night Time Rice Cereal and milk, she ate that/drank that and then fell asleep. So put her to bed. I then folded the clothes in the dryer and put away the dishes in the dishwasher. Decided to read for a bit then go to bed. It was a very peaceful night.

Tuesday, 19 August

Got up..... have some energy, starving though. Got some coffee and started the day. Olivia was up when I got to her room. She was holding the crib rail and bouncing up and down... Funny. She cracks me up. Got her dressed and ready, for the next twenty minutes - she followed me around the house while I got everything packed and out to the car. Dropped her off, she fell asleep... :) went to the gym - okay cardio. Work was good - another busy day, lots of meetings and dealing with a bunch of issues from yesterday. At lunch time, I did get out and I went to the gym - did a chest workout... sore. Finished my day and then picked up Olivia. She was just big smiles, she ran over to me and accidently knocked over another child ...kind of funny. On the way home, I ordered some take out Chinese and picked it up before getting home. Fed Olivia some dinner and then we ate dinner. Chinese Food was good.... After that, started cleaning up. Kurt gave Olivia a bath and then I got her all lotioned up and in pajamas. I then started getting stuff ready for Wednesday. Kurt took Olivia for a walk around the block. When he got back home, she was asleep. Really sweet - she was out cold. Kurt put her to bed and then we both watched a little TV before going to bed.

Monday, 18 August

Got up - felt okay, little groggy. I actually fell asleep with Olivia in my arms while sipping on a cup of coffee... Made it to daycare and the gym on time though. Today was a horrible day at work, I had an update for one of my servers - well, the 15 minute update took all day. I had to basically reload everything on my production server. People were not happy, got calls all day long, emails of people complaining... Finally got everything working properfly at 5:00 pm. I never left my desk from 7:00 am until 5:00 pm. I picked up Olivia and didn't get home until 5:40. Kurt left for work as soon as we got home. He did make me the most incrediable dinner, Chicken Mole, it was so good.... So got home, started cleaning right away, did laundry, dishes, made Olivia dinner, fed her, went to the grocery store, dropped off the water bill payment, got home and gave Olivia her bath, got her cleaned up and in pajamas, watered the outside plants, then played will Olivia for a bit before putting her to bed, then got my stuff ready for Tuesday and after that - it was time for bed.

Sunday, 17 August

Got up early and fed the animals then headed out to pick up Olivia. She was in such a happy mood, makes me so happy to see her like that. I missed her too much. So got her and we headed home. We stopped at Oak Park Grill for breakfast, Mike and Kurt met us there. I got hashbrowns and sausage (Olivia ate half of it) We then went to the dollar store. Picked up a few things then headed home. Got Olivia cleaned up and dressed, we then played for a while. She loves picking up books and bringing them over to me. So after about 20 books or so, I put them away and then we all relaxed for a while. Olivia actually fell asleep (She was up at 5:30 am my mom said). Kurt made me a grilled cheese, really yummy. While Kurt got ready for work, I cooked up meals for Olivia. I also made some snacks for Kurt. I then cleaned and got my stuff together for Monday. I made Olivia macaroni and cheese and she loved it - so fed her dinner. She walked in a circle then came over to me for a bite of macaroni, then would do it again - over and over. I was getting dizzy just watching her. So after dinner, I gave her a bath then got her into pajamas. She was getting tired and by 8:00 pm, she was out cold. Mike and Dan came over for a bit and we talked about plans to go to Florida. Looked at flights and hotels. After that, I read for a bit and then went to bed..... long weekend.

Saturday, 16 August

Got up, I'm so tired... but got up because the dogs got me up - Kurt worked last night and Riley started barking at 3:30, woke up Olivia. It took about an hour to get her back to bed. Fell back to sleep but was up by 7:00 am. So fed the animals and made some coffee. I read for a while and then Olivia woke up. Got her up and fed. Changed her and then got her dressed. We played for a while then we went for a walk with the dogs. Took them to the park, Michael met us up there with Jake. The dogs played catch while Olivia walked around the playground. After that, walked back home and then started working on the trees - I had to finish up the trimming of them. They look so much better - after 9 garbage cans full of branches, they are finally trimmed. Fed the fish and then for an hour or so I pulled weeds in the back, Olivia was with me - she was so cute, helping me out. She enjoyed picking up rocks for me and handing them over. Around noon, Kurt got up and I had to head out to get my hair cut. Olivia stayed with Kurt, they went to Best Buy while I was out. After that, I picked up some lunch for Kurt and came home. I fed Olivia then gave her a bath. After that, packed up her bag and took her over to Grandma's house. My parents watched her over night - it was really nice to have a night out. So hung out there for a bit then came home. I picked up some Tim Horton's coffee for Kurt on the way back. I then got showered and dressed to go out. We picked up Michael and then went to Shawn and Jim's party. Had a really good time, Kurt and Michael drank way too much - way too fast. So we had to leave the party at 9:30 or so, went up to Pronto but Kurt was way too drunk so came home. My one night out in weeks and I was home by 10:30. I was a little upset, Kurt gets to go out all the time and my night was spent watching him..... I'm over now but I was upset at the time.

Friday, 15 August

Woke up this morning, feeling better - almost there. Got to daycare and then off to the gym. My book is getting really good - I'm really looking forward to the movie too. After that, got to work and it was a crazy day. I ended up working non-stop all through lunch and even stayed late. Picked up Olivia - she was mad at me. When I picked up Olivia, she did not look at me.... she is so funny. I know, I shouldn't be late but for a little thing she can sure hold a grudge. She eventually got over and smiled for me. We got home, I fixed her a snack and then she was happy. After snacking, I gave her a bath and then got her dressed. We then went to the health food store and got a few things, ran a couple other errands. Got home and I made Olivia dinner, she was hungry.... so fed her then we played for a while. She was getting tired so put her to bed. After that, cleaned up for a while, did some laundry and the went to bed. I think I was asleep by 9:00 pm. Lack of sleep caught up with me.

Thursday, 14 August

Almost better... Feeling pretty good. So got up, tired - out a little late from the concert but feeling better than I have been. Olivia was a little warm when I got her up, I took her temperature and it was normal she just felt really hot. So got her ready, changed, dressed and we were out the door. Took Olivia to daycare and then went to the gym. Did my cardio and read while doing that. Got to work and it was a good day. Lots to do. I ended up skipping lunch and worked straight through. It was a good thing that I did, I got a call at 3:00 pm from the Day Care that Olivia had a 103 temperature. SO I rushed there and picked her up. Her pediatrician said not to bring her in, just to give her Tylenol. If it lasts longer than 3 days then to bring her in. I got home, gave her Tylenol and within 1/2 hour I took her temperature - it was going down. Within an hour it was almost normal. We made sure to give her lots to drink - didn't want her to get dehydrated. At first, poor thing, just wanted to be held and she sighed a lot - but within the hour she wanted to play and eat. While Kurt was still at the house, I cut the grass, edged and trimmed then started to trim two of the backyard trees. They needed it - they are suppose to look like umbrellas and looked more like - well, a mess. So got them almost done but ran out of garbage cans. I can finish them tonight, the garbage collectors come today. So after that, watered the plants and then started my daily set up for the next day. Olivia was at my side, I cooked her dinner and fed her then got my stuff done. She went to bed pretty early, just out of it. Mike and Dan came over at 7:15 or so, we ate Thai food and watched Big Brother. They left a little after that and I cleaned up and went to bed. Took some PM Sinus pills and I was out cold. Big Brother was really good yesterday....

Wednesday, 13 August

Feeling even better today.... Just a sinus headache but almost 100%. Day started off really good, got up and did my daily routine. Olivia was having a hard time getting up, she wanted to sleep in. Poor thing. She felt a little warm today but her temperature came up normal. She just get's really warm when she sleeps. So got her ready and dropped her off at daycare. Did my cardio and read. Work was good - still very busy. It's still weird with Ellen gone, not really anyone to talk to anymore. So my days are pretty quiet. At lunch time, I stayed and worked through it - but then at 11:40 I got a call from Kurt and met him up the street for lunch. Only out for about 25 minutes. Had to get back to work, projects to finish up. Left work early today to get Olivia and take her to the Allergist. Great news... We found out that a lot of the things she tested highly allergic too were actually just triggers for her eczema. So we are told we can reintroduce some of the foods she hasn't been allowed to eat lately. Got a lot of good answers to questions and helpful suggestions to maintaining her skin condition. What a relief. So the doctor's appointment lasted about 1 1/2 hours, after that - got home and got her cleaned up/changed/bathed... Fed her dinner, she was a little out of it. Poor thing, I think she is coming down with a cold. All she wanted to do was be held. Our little angel. Anyway - big plans for tonight, we were going to the Dolly Parton concert. Chelsea showed up at 6:15 and we headed up to met Chris and Brett. We then headed out to DTE. It was such an awesome concert - I loved it. Dolly is fantastic. 2 times in 3 months... Great show. It was fun hanging out with Brett and Chris too. The concert went to about 10:00 and from there we headed home. Chelsea said Olivia was fine, she basically snuggled with her for a bit before falling asleep. We checked on her, changed her diaper and put her back to bed. She felt a little warm but her temperature was fine. Pretty much went to bed and fell asleep quickly after that.

Tuesday, 12 August

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MOM AND DAD! Number 42. Starting to feel better which is a good thing, this cold is just annoying, so over it. Almost 2 weeks now. So got up and got Olivia up and ready. I think she may be getting a cold too, she is stuffed up - hopefully it's not the same cold I have. Got her all ready and dressed and then we headed out to daycare. She slept most of the way there. Went to the gym and did my cardio. Really enjoying the book I'm reading - It's the last in the series by Stephanie Meyers 'Breaking Dawn'. So far so good. After the gym, got to work and another really busy day. Did a lot of website stuff so that was fun, more creative. Enjoyed that. At lunch, went to the gym and did a back workout - I'm slacking this week... Just trying to get better and cutting out a lot of my workouts. After work, picked up Olivia and we headed home. Goal - get as much done so that I can go to bed early. It worked out pretty well, Kurt had a snack ready for Olivia when we got home so I got my gym bag and work clothes ready for Wednesday, then Kurt and I chatted for a bit before he had to go to work. I then got the animal stuff ready for the next day, packed Olivia's bag and then we went to CVS so I could get some new medicine. Sinus headache big time. Got back home and fed Olivia, we then played for a good hour or so, she was getting tired so changed her into pajamas and then we watched TV in bed. She laid on my chest and fell asleep. Put her to bed, took some PM Sinus medicine and went to bed. Good night sleep.... Ah....

Monday, 11 August

Got up and started my day, was going to skip the gym but decided to go. Olivia was really sweet when I got her up - lots of hugs from her. Make me so happy. Got her to daycare then the gym. Work was busy, which was good. The day went by pretty fast. At lunch, I ended up just staying at my desk - trying to catch up on things. After work, picked up Olivia and we headed home. She was so cute and sweet all evening. We fed her dinner and then played for several hours. At 7:30, Danny and Brian came over and we played cards and had some snacks. Right about then, I put Olivia to bed and she was out cold.. She fell asleep within a minute. So played cards for about 3 hours and then it was time to go to bed. The boys left (Brian painted us a picture and it's phenomenal - we have by the front door) and I went to bed right after that. Tired and still sick.

Sunday, 10 August

Got up and fed the animals. It must have been around 7:00 am, Olivia was already up and crying so I got up and changed her then fed her. For the next 3 hours I cooked, trying to get Olivia's meals ready for the week. Olivia was being really good, playing next to me - unfortunately I started to get sick and had preceeded to get sick all over the kitchen floor. Cleaned it up and then got Olivia cleaned up and dressed. I woke up Kurt and we all went to Meijer's to grocery shop. Was there about an hour and then we headed right to Peking House to meet up with Dawn and her mom. Lunch was really nice except I didn't have a lunch packed for Olivia and she was getting antsy so I ran to the corner gas station and got Olivia a fruit cup. Hoping that would fill her up till lunch came. She ate, she drank apple juice (well, a little bit at least - she learned how to take the lid off of her sippy cup and dumped it on me). So after lunch, I was holding Olivia and walking out of the restaurant when three women stopped me to say that Olivia had spit up on me - well, I thought she had just drooled a little bit on me...well, that wasn't the case. She had thrown up all down my back and shoulder. I was covered... Ugh, gross. So got home and gave Olivia a bath. After that, got her dressed in pajamas and spent the afternoon playing with her and cooking. Kurt left for work and I got all my stuff ready for Monday. By 7:00 pm, Olivia was already asleep - She didn't take one nap all day so she was exhausted. I pretty much went to bed soon after that, I was feeling horrible. I took some aspirin, a muscle relaxer, stuff for my acid reflux and a sinus pill. I was out by 9:00 pm.

Saturday, 9 August

Got up a few times during the night, Olivia was restless. Finally just stayed up around 7:00 am. Fed the dogs/cats and then Olivia. She was in a good mood. I think she is just feeling a lot better than she has been. I made a big breakfast, hashbrowns, sausage and omlettes for Kurt and I - I made some breakfast for Olivia too but since she can't have any of that it I made her pork sausage, hashbrowns and some glutten/wheat free biscuits. I told Kurt it was 11:30 when it was really only 9:30 so he would get up... he was a little mad when he figured out the time. I had already done 2 loads of laundry, made biscuits, put away my clothes, Olivia's clothes, ironed a pair of pants, put away the dishes from the dishwasher and baked some cookies. So Kurt got up and we all went to the Dollar Store, then ran a few more errands. After that, came back home did some stuff around the house. I wasn't feeling very well so I laid down for a bit while Kurt watched Olivia. I got up and we watched a movie then I had to get Olivia ready for Mary's baby shower. I got the gift ready to go, Olivia all dressed and then got cleaned up myself. Kurt headed to work and we headed to Gross Pointe Farms. It was raining but we had a really nice time at the Shower. It was outside but there were lots of tents. Had a good time. Afterwards we came back to Royal Oak and had dinner with Michael and Dan at Nello's. I was starving. Finished dinner then came home, Olivia was already asleep by the time we got home. So put her to bed then watched a little TV before going to sleep.

Friday, 8 August

It's been an okay morning, still achy and feeling sick but got some sleep last night so hopefully that helps. Olivia's skin is really really dry right now, it's flaking a lot on her legs and arms. I'm hoping once we get to the allergist on the 13th - that they can help improve things. She has been on the special diet now for almost two weeks and things are a little better but she still is scratching a lot. So dropped her off at Day Care and I then did make it to the gym - did my cardio then off to work. Work still really busy, but that makes me happy. At lunch time, I went to the gym - quick workout. Finished my day and then picked up Olivia. Stopped at CVS on the way home, got some Icy Hot pads for Kurt's back. He threw it out. I also got Olivia's prescription. Some issues with her insurance... I called them after leaving CVS and they said everything was fine, I have to go back to CVS to get my money back on her prescription. SO got home, Kurt took Olivia to change her and she started crying and I mean crying like I have never heard before. I went into her room and Kurt said that he changed her and she just started crying. Well, long story short - She cried for a good 40 minutes. Nothing would console her. Well, long story short.... We think what happened was that a carrot got stuck in her bowels (I know gross) and she was in pain. When I changed her later on in the evening, it had finally worked it's way threw... She had full carrot slices in her B.M. So after getting her dressed (after her crying episode) I picked up Michael and we went to Plymouth for the Music in the Park. My parents were up there so we got to spend some time them - that's when I discovered Olivia's issue... I changed her at the park. So listened to music and Olivia got to dance around for a while. She loved it. It ended at 9, so dropped off my Mom's and Shon's birthday gift and then headed home. Dropped off Michael and then got home. I was tired, Olivia was asleep. So changed her and put her in her pajamas.. she had another B.M. (with more whole carrots) We are changing that recipe.... anyway - got her to bed and then tried sleeping myself. My throat was hurting, my head was hurting, my sinuses were hurting... just a miserable night. Eventually got to sleep.

Thursday, 7 August

I got very little sleep (went to bed late) but feel good. Today was a pretty good day. Gym good, work good, Olivia has been a little angel. I went shopping at lunch time for a baby shower gift for a friend of mine. Good deals at Macy. Came back to work and ate my lunch, starving so I gorged on my food. Finished the day and headed home. Picked up Olivia and she was in a very good mood. Got her home and we hung out for a while. I started to make dinner but got nauseous in the middle of cooking so I went and laid down. Kurt finished making dinner and then we ate. Fed Olivia at the same time. After that, got her cleaned up for bed time and then we played for a while. At 7:00 pm, headed over to Mike and Dan's house to go get ice cream. Mike and I ended up staying at the house with Olivia while Kurt and Dan got the ice cream. It was delicious. We then watched Big Brother (We had to watch it on Mike's phone because the show was pre-empted with Football). After that, headed home and went to bed pretty early. I was tired.....

Wednesday, 6 August

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM AND SHON! Slept a lot better than I have lately. So I feel pretty good. Got up, let the animals out and started my daily morning routine. Olivia's cold is a little better, nose isn't runny as much. She has been a lot more thirsty lately, so hopefully that's helping her get better. My workout was good this morning, I had to make it a quick workout since I got held up at Tim Horton's coffee... That reminds me, I need to call and complain. They had no coffee read and the girl told me in the drive thru that it would be about 5 minutes. Well, 10 minutes later when I pulled up to the window, she still hadn't made any coffee.... so I had to wait another 10 minutes. Anyway - after the gym, got to work and really started my day. It was a day of catch up, lots to do from yesterday that I didn't get done so working on that stuff first. Day flew by - busy busy. Picked up Olivia on that way home and made really good timing on the commute home. SO got home and started getting my stuff packed for Thursday, got Olivia's dishes cleaned and then got her cleaned up and fed. Chelsea was babysitting this evening so we could get a little time out. Brian from down the street came over around 7:00 and then we got Mike and Dan. We went to Pronto for some dinner and then hung out there for a couple of hours. It wasn't a very late evening but just real nice to get out for a bit. Brian is really nice, glad to finally meet him. Kurt has been hanging out with him for a while now - They both have their days off. So after getting home, chatted with Chelsea for a bit and then went to bed... I actually fell asleep with talking with Kurt and Brian.

Tuesday, 5 August

Busy day today.... Starting to feel better, not quite there but getting there. I got up pretty early this morning, did some laundry and a few other things before getting the dogs feed and getting Olivia up. Got all ready and headed out. Dropped her off, did the gym thing then got to work. Working on a bunch of new stuff and I'm swamped. So that made it a good day. I had to skip lunch because I had an appointment at 4:00 pm today. So left early, Kurt had picked up Olivia so I just drove directly home. I got home, cleaned up Olivia and straighten up the house a bit. We had an appointment with Judson Center for our final visit. Sandra came over at 4:00 and we talked about Olivia and how everything had been going. Meeting went great and we are all set for things to be finalized within the next couple weeks. After the meeting, Kurt had to head out to work so I gave Olivia a bath and then got her dressed. I gave her dinner and we walked for a good 30 minutes. She is doing such a great job with the walking. After dinner, I got her into her pajamas and then we chilled out (quiet time). Olivia went to bed around 8:30. I got my stuff ready for Wednesday and was in bed by 9:00. I watched Big Brother and was asleep by 10:00. I slept straight through... it was such a good night.

Monday, 4 August

Got up, pretty tired and a slight sinus headache but started my day. I'm feeling better than I did yesterday so hopefully that means by tomorrow I will be all better. Olivia was really cute this morning, I mean she is always cute but after I got her dressed and ready to go, she walked over to me and hugged me. :) So after dropping her off, I did some cardio at the gym. Work was busy, kept me going all day. I worked on some old projects. After work I picked up Olivia and we got home. I let Kurt hang out with Olivia for a bit while I did laundry and got my stuff ready for Tuesday. Kurt headed out to work so I made Olivia dinner then I took her to CVS and Blockbuster. Had to get some movies and wet wipes. After that, came back home and got Olivia ready for bed. We took a walk and she is doing so well, she walked for a good 15 minutes before getting tired. I put her to bed and just as I did that, Mike and Dan came over to have me help with a new laptop purchase. Mike brought over some cookies he made to (to apologize for being kind of mean). They left after a short while, I then tried going to bed early - was wide awake though.

Sunday, 3 August

Sunday Morning - it was an early one. I still had a hard time sleeping, only slept for maybe 2 hours through out the night. I got up early and decided to start cooking up some meals for Olivia's lunches. I made sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, a Turkey Pasta dish (Rice Noodles), I made some Glutten/Wheat/Dairy/Egg Free Chocolate chip cookies, I portioned out grapes and carrots... I think that's all I got done. I had some coffee, well - almost the whole pot of coffee. Olivia got up around 10:00 am, so I got her dressed and cleaned up, I went to the Health Food Store to get some more Rice Milk and a few other things. I also got some stuff for baking. I picked up some lunch for Kurt on the way home. I then got Olivia changed and we met up with Olivia's former foster parents for lunch. It was a really nice afternoon. We had lunch, visited for a while and then headed home. Olivia was getting cranky but refused to take a nap. So I gave her a bath and got her in pajamas. It was still really early, just wanted her to have them on because I know she would be falling asleep really early. She ended up falling asleep around 7:00 pm. So I put her to bed and I then cut the front yard, watered all the plants and the grass. Came inside and got everything ready for Monday - packed my gym bag, got my clothes ready, packed the diaper bag, got Olivia's lunch ready, and then went to bed. I watched some TV for a while, tried to fall asleep but had a hard time with my throat hurting. Eventually got to sleep around 2:00 am... Only 3 hours of sleep. Can't wait for this sore throat to get better.

Saturday, 2 August

Got up and my sore throat is worse... Didn't sleep more than a few hours, it always feels better during the day so just decided to get up. Fed the dogs, cats and fish. I then started cleaning the dowstairs. Vacuumed, dusted, cleaned all the leather furniture, cleaned up the bar, cleaned the downstairs bathroom and part of the laundry room. Did 3 loads of laundry, folded clothes, got Olivia up and dressed, Kurt got up by then and we went out to Lunch. Lunch was good, Olivia was really good at the restaurant but she definetly is getting more antsy - she wants to walk. SO I took her for a walk around the restaurant - a couple of times. After lunch, went home and relaxed for a bit. I had to lay down for a while - tried to get some rest but that didn't last long. Olivia wouldn't take a nap so I got up and played with her for a while, I then took her to my parent's house - Grandma and Grandpa T watched her while I was at my reunion. I then came home, got showered and dressed and then picked up Michael. He was filling in for Kurt, Kurt had to work. I had the best time, it was wonderful seeing so many people that I haven't seen in 20 years. My favorite person in the whole world from school was there, Katie. We had classes together, we worked at a restaurant together, we lived in apartments by each other - she is just a class act. I'm really glad that I got to reconnect with her. Some people looked exactly the same while others did change a lot. I truly had a wonderful time, I wish I went alone - just because I kept taking off to say Hi to people and left Michael by himself. I was so nervous going, just in case I didn't know anyone - but it turned out to be such a fun night. I forgot my camera and I'm bummed out by that - but hopefully I can get ahold of the people that I want to stay in touch with. We ended up leaving at 10:00 pm, I picked up Olivia and then we came back home. I dropped off Michael, then drove home, put Olivia to bed and tried falling asleep... Unfortunately, my throat started hurting again really bad so I just stayed awake until about 3:00 am.

Friday, 1 August

Wow, Summer is going by so fast. Can't believe it's already August. This is a busy month too, lots of birthdays and anniversarys, got several parties to go to and two concerts.... should be a fun month. It's Friday too, this week just went by so fast. So woke up and I feel a cold starting to come on, Ugh. Stuffy nose and really sore throat. Did my daily stuff and got Olivia off to daycare. She is walking more and more - I say we are at about 60 percent walking now and 40 percent crawling. She walked around the catch in the living room 8 times without falling down. She is still a little wobbily but she is getting there. Dropped her off at Daycare and then went to the gym. Did my workout, did cardio - watched a movie while doing that. After that, got to work - it was a good day. Working on a bunch of new things so the diversity is keeping me interested - plus all the new responsibilities have me swamped. At lunch, worked out - did chest. Felt good, sore - really sore. I then went to Panera and treated myself to some lunch (Take out). I was a little disapointed though, my sandwich wasn't very good. Oh well, better than not eating. I then finished my day. Got Olivia on the way home and we made really good timing, was home within 20 minutes. Olivia was a mess, filthy dirty - so I changed her clothes and got her cleaned up. Her skin is looking bad again, it's so dry and warm at the daycare that her skin on her legs and arm are scaling up. Kurt had to go to work, so he left for the night. I then took Olivia to the mall to get a new outfit for my 20th High School Reunion... Yes, 20 years have gone by. Wow..... The reunion is on Saturday and I'm really looking forward to it. Got a new outift from Banana Republic and then headed home. I fed Olivia and we played for a while - she was really into pulling out all of the tuper ware from the cabinets. After putting her to bed, I watched some TV and tried falling asleep. Darn sore throat is making it hard to sleep.
