Monday, 31 August

Got a call in the morning that Jamie was sick (Daycare) so Kurt had to watch Olivia all day. It went really well though, I think now he knows what it is like for me - watching a 2 year old is a lot of work. She has so much energy and never wants to slow down. She did do something amazing today - she put her shoes on all by herself. They were her crocs but still - pretty cool and she was so proud of herself. "Daddy, I put shoes on all by myself". So I told over and over again how proud I am of her and what a big girl she is. It made my day. At lunch time, I met up with Kurt and Olivia at Denny's. I had to stop at Michaels to pick up a few things before hand. Had a really nice lunch. After work, had to run to O.C.C. to register for my class. Very long lines - end up leaving... Going to try and register tomorrow. Picked up some dinner for us on the way home (BBQ chicken). It was so good. We ate dinner then I went outside and cut the grass while Kurt took Olivia to costco to pick up a prescription. After that, got Olivia ready for bed then we all watched Dora the Explorer together before putting her to bed. I was pretty tired so went to bed right after that. Really nice day.

Sunday, 30 August

Got up (was able to sleep in - that was nice), had some coffee and ended up finishing Kurt's scarf. It turned out really nice, it's about 6 1/2 feet long, orange with two white stripes near one end. Kurt likes it..happy about that. Got a call from Mike and Dan to meet them up for breakfast, so we met them around 10:30, during breakfast - got a call from my mom that they were on their way. I ended up meeting my mom at Michael's (Craft Store), I had her pick out some yard so I could make her a scarf as well. Olivia was a little tired at first but woke right up. So after the store, got her home and we waited for Kurt. I made Olivia her lunch and did some laundry. We then went to Royal Oak to walk around town, it was really nice - a little chilly but nice getting out as a family. We stopped at Astoria for a cupcake. Very good. Walked around town some more then headed home. Olivia took a little nap. We watched the movie - something shopaholic.... I can't remember the name now. It was cute. Olivia got up and we went to the park. It was a really nice park, Olivia had fun - except when she was on the swing, she fell off. Not hurt just more startled. Dumb me hurt my hand sliding down the slide. Ugh, I jammed my finger really bad. After that, we came back home - we got invited to dinner at Mike and Dan's house. Mike made fajitas. So good. Ate dinner, then Dan and Kurt went to the casino while Mike and I watched Big Brother. After that, came home - put Olivia to bed and pretty much called it a night for myself. Really nice weekend. Pictures coming soon.

Saturday, 29 August

Today was a very busy day. Got up around 7, made some coffee and relaxed for a minute or two before getting showered and dressed. I then got Olivia up, did her hair, painted her nails and got her dressed. Packed a bag for her (She was spending the night at Grandmas) then we headed to the store. Had to pick up some wrapping paper. Got that then wrapped Suede and Scott's gift. Picked up some Tim Horton's coffee (and timbits for Olivia) then headed to Dearborn for the babyshower. Little bit of traffic and construction but we got there right on time. It was really nice. Everyone at the shower was terrific and very friendly. We sat right up front with a group of very nice women. They had an omlette bar and I was starving so we got food right away. Olivia made some new friends, everybody there was so nice to her and there were a bunch of kids for her to play with. After the shower, headed to my parent's house to drop off Olivia. I taught her a knock knock jock so that was fun. Had to repeat it about 100 times. After visiting for a minute with my mom, headed back home. I actually met Kurt in Southfield and we went to see the movie "Inglorious Basterds" with Brad Pitt. Great movie - very graphic. After the movie, headed home - we chilled out for a bit then I got cleaned up and cleaned up the house. Kurt had to go to work at 6 so he left and I just waited for Bonnie and Michelle to come over. They arrived right on time (6:30) and we headed out to Rosey O'gradys for dinner. I was starving. Dinner was really good and it was great catching up with the girls. Little akward at time with what was going on with them but it was still great to see them. After dinner, we headed up to Pronto to see Kurt. We didn't stay there long and I ended up going home around 9:30. It was a really nice day but I was tired.

Friday, 28 August

What a fun evening... After getting home from work, had a couple of errands to run - Kurt, Olivia and I went to Target (had to get a baby shower gift), then came home - I got Olivia cleaned up and in pajamas, Kurt fed her and then I was picked up by Mike and Dan to head out to Novi. Had a babysitter for the evening. We headed to a Whirly Ball activity center in Novi and it was so much fun. There were about 13 of us there - Me, Joel, Mike, Dan, Mark, John, Chloe, Mike, Khalid, Mike, Kerrin, Becca and Jen. It was such a blast - basically it was like playing basketball but with Bumper Carts. I am a little sore from getting bumped but such a blast. After the game, we headed up to BW3's. It was fun just hanging out, having a few beers and being silly. Everyone was so nice and just really made for a fun evening. Joel did a really good job of planning this. Thanks Joel. Met some new people that I really like. Just a perfect Friday night.

Thursday, 27 August

How did we get through this month so fast. I can't believe it's almost September. What happened to Summer? It's been cold and rainy all week - not a lot of sunlight that is for sure. I do love Fall but in the Fall - not in the Summer. Day was good, not much to talk about with work. After work, I met up with Michael at Pronto for a cocktail. It was nice to get out, stayed for about an hour - I picked up some takeout on the way home. Came home and we had salads and Olivia ate her grilled cheese. After dinner, cleaned up a bit - got Olivia changed and we went for a walk. After the walk it was bath time. Olivia hung out with me in bed for about an hour before I put her down to sleep. She went to bed without any issues, the walk made her very tired. What a good girl. Pretty good night sleep - no complaints.

Wednesday, 26 August

Things seem to be a little better at work. Still very stressful but at least manageable. Got cardio in the morning and at lunch time. Helped with the stress. Got home, very happy to see Olivia and Kurt. I ate some of the meatloaf Kurt made, very delicious. Chilled out with him for a bit then got Olivia fed. Kurt headed to work, so Olivia and I hung out. Went for our walk, the 20 minute walk took almost an hour. She was very curious about the neighbor working on his yard, we had to stop to talk to him. After getting her home, gave her a bath and got her in pajamas. After that, we read and colored until it was time for bed. I worked on the scarf I'm making Kurt for about an hour or so and then went to bed.

Tuesday, 25 August

Got some sleep (thanks to the P.M. aspirin), got up and did my cardio, got showered and dressed, then got Miss Olivia up and ready. Dropped her off and then headed in to work. Things have been so stressful lately at work but today ended up being a decent day. Work was fine, even laughed a few times. At lunch got to the gym and had a good workout. Finished my day and headed home. I decided to take Kurt and Olivia out to dinner - so we went to Red Lobster. It was so good, the All you can eat Shrimp festival was going on.... I took full advantage of it. We ate dinner then went to KMart to get a few things. Ended up going to Michaels after that, Kurt got a glue gun for some bar promotion thing and I got some yarn... going to try and make a scarf. Yes.. a scarf. We have talked about trying to make gifts for each other this Christmas.... we will see how that goes. After that, headed home - it was getting late so I got Olivia cleaned up and ready for bed and she pretty much fell asleep. Starting on the scarf and after an hour or so, I was ready for bed.

Monday, 24 August

Another night of being unable to sleep. Got up several times during the night - but eventually decided just to get up. Around 4:00 am, I worked out then around 6:00 am, I got Olivia up - fed her some breakfast and got her dressed. Dropped her off at daycare and then went to the gym - decided to take the day off. After working out again, I went to O.C.C. to sign up for some classes, got registered just waiting to have my transcripts from Eastern sent so I can sign up for the classes. After that, met up with Jon from Priss to go over some marketing ideas for the studio. It was very informing. After that, came home and was surprised with a really nice dinner that Kurt had prepared. He has been spoiling me the last few days. Felt a lot better too so hopefully I can get some sleep tonight. After dinner, we had to run a few errands, so we went grocery shopping then decided to get ice cream. Delicious. We gave Olivia her bath and got her ready for bed. Ended the night by watching The Closer. :)

Sunday, 23 August

Hard time sleeping still, feeling a little better though. Got up, was planning on going to my parents house but they weren't home so instead we ended up going to Target for a few things, we then came home. After that, spent the day together, working on stuff like the yard, planting a few things, working around the house... I guess a lazy day. Olivia took a nice long nap so we were able to relax for a while. For dinner, I got us some brats, had that with salad and some pasta. It was good, nothing fancy. Weekend went by fast.

Saturday, 22 August

Still stressed out and not able to sleep. Ended up just laying in bed from 3:30 am till about 7:30 am. Tired but eventually just got up and watched a little TV before Olivia got up. She got up around 8 am, so changed her, gave her some milk and we then hung out together downstairs. I was sitting in the chair and had my legs on the ottoman - Olivia would run over to me and climb over my legs, almost doing a flip. She did it over and over again. I have some big bruises now but she was having fun... I guess that's all that matters. Was going to go visit my parents but decided on Sunday instead. Kurt got up arond 10:00 am, so we got cleaned up and met up with some friends and their kids at McDonalds around 11:00 am. It was really fun, got to spend time with some adults and the kids played in the Fun area after lunch. There were 5 kids so it was fun for them, Kurt ended up having to go into the Fun area (big tubes for climbing in with a big slide at the end) and helping the kids get to the slide. He was not too happy about that (too early for him to deal with all the kids). After that, we went to Macy's. Had their one day sale, got 3 shirts (great deals). Stopped at home after that for about an hour so Olivia could nap. It was Kandy's 40th birthday celebration at Rosie O'gradys so we went up there to see them. It was really nice to see everyone. After that, picked up a pizza from Blue Moon bakery (not so good) and chilled out at home before Kurt had to go to work. After Kurt left, Olivia and I hung out, watched a movie and she promptly fell asleep in my arms. So cute.

Friday, 21 August

I had a mental breakdown today..... Got to work, felt so stressed that I was getting sick. Bad headache, stomach issues and my heart was racing so I ended up leaving work really early. Left around 9:30 am. Came home, tried laying down for a while - but my heart was racing so hard that I couldn't sleep. It's been bad the last few days with work, really stressed out and it's finally taken it's toll on me. So took some aspirins and tried watching some tv, keeping my mind off work. That was hard to do. So once Kurt got up, we went out for some lunch (couldn't eat though), then went up to Bordines Nursery, got a few things. I felt a lot better after talking with Kurt about stuff. Still stressed from work but wasn't going to let it get to me. On the way home, picked up Olivia - came home and the three of us hung out for a bit until Kurt had to go to work. Went up to Priss Studio, chatted with Jon then came home. Had a babysitter for the evening, Mariah came over at 8:30 pm - I then went to Mike and Dan's house and we headed out to Pronto. Was there for an hour or so, then went up to the pool hall in Ferndale. Had a lot of fun and we won every game. :) Woo Hoo. Was home by 12:30. It ended up being a much better night than day.

Thursday, 20 August

Here are ten (10) more additional ideas to help simplify my life...

1) Edit your rooms. One room at a time, go around the room and eliminate the unnecessary. Act as a newspaper editor, trying to leave only the minimum, and deleting everything else.

2) Edit closets and drawers. Once you’ve gone through the main parts of your rooms, tackle the closets and drawers, one drawer or shelf at a time.

3) Simplify your wardrobe. Is your closet bursting full? Are your drawers so stuffed they can’t close (I’m talking about dresser drawers here, not underwear). Simplify your wardrobe by getting rid of anything you don’t actually wear. Try creating a minimal wardrobe by focusing on simple styles and a few solid colors that all match each other.

4) Simplify your computing life. If you have trouble with too many files and too much disorganization, consider online computing. It can simplify things greatly.

5) Declutter your digital packrattery. If you are a digital packrat, and cannot seem to control your digital clutter, there is still hope for you. Read a book on how to cure yourself of this clutter.

6) Create a simplicity statement. What do you want your simple life to look like? Write it out.

7) Limit your buying habits. If you are a slave to materialism and consumerism, there are ways to escape it. I was there, and although I haven’t escaped these things entirely, I feel much freer of it all. If you can escape materialism, you can get into the habit of buying less. And that will mean less stuff, less spending, less freneticism.

8) Free up time. Find ways to free up time for the important stuff. That means eliminating the stuff you don’t like, cutting back on time wasters, and making room for what you want to do.

9) Do what you love. Once you’ve freed up some time, be sure to spend that extra time doing things you love. Go back to your list of 4-5 important things. Do those, and nothing else.

10) Spend time with people you love. Again, the list of 4-5 important things probably contains some of the people you love (if not, you may want to re-evaluate). Whether those people are a spouse, a partner, children, parents, other family, best friends, or whoever, find time to do things with them, talk to them, be intimate with them

Wednesday, 19 August

I need to simplify my life.... I make it way too complicated. Found this good article on how to do it, now I just have to follow through with it.

Here are ten (10) ideas to simply your life...
1) Make a list of your top 4-5 important things. What’s most important to you? What do you value most? What 4-5 things do you most want to do in your life? Simplifying starts with these priorities, as you are trying to make room in your life so you have more time for these things.

2) Evaluate your commitments. Look at everything you’ve got going on in your life. Everything, from work to home to civic to kids’ activities to hobbies to side businesses to other projects. Think about which of these really gives you value, which ones you love doing. Which of these are in line with the 4-5 most important things you listed above? Drop those that aren’t in line with those things.

3) Evaluate your time. How do you spend your day? What things do you do, from the time you wake up to the time you go to sleep? Make a list, and evaluate whether they’re in line with your priorities. If not, eliminate the things that aren’t, and focus on what’s important. Redesign your day.

4) Simplify work tasks. Our work day is made up of an endless list of work tasks. If you simply try to knock off all the tasks on your to-do list, you’ll never get everything done, and worse yet, you’ll never get the important stuff done. Focus on the essential tasks and eliminate the rest.

5) Simplify home tasks. In that vein, think about all the stuff you do at home. Sometimes our home task list is just as long as our work list. And we’ll never get that done either. So focus on the most important, and try to find ways to eliminate the other tasks (automate, eliminate, delegate, or hire help).

6) Learn to say no. This is actually one of the key habits for those trying to simplify their lives. If you can’t say no, you will take on too much.

7) Limit your communications. Our lives these days are filled with a vast flow of communications: email, IM, cell phones, paper mail, Skype, Twitter, forums, and more. It can take up your whole day if you let it. Instead, put a limit on your communications: only do email at certain times of the day, for a certain number of minutes (I recommend twice a day, but do what works for you). Only do IM once a day, for a limited amount of time. Limit phone calls to certain times too. Same with any other communications. Set a schedule and stick to it.

8) Limit your media consumption. This tip won’t be for everyone, so if media consumption is important to you, please skip it (as with any of the other tips). However, I believe that the media in our lives — TV, radio, Internet, magazines, etc. — can come to dominate our lives. Don’t let it. Simplify your life and your information consumption by limiting it.

9) Purge your stuff. If you can devote a weekend to purging the stuff you don’t want, it feels seriously terrific. Get boxes and trash bags for the stuff you want to donate or toss.

10) Get rid of the big items. There’s tons of little clutter in our lives, but if you start with the big items, you’ll simplify your life quickly and in a big way.

Tuesday, 18 August

So fed up of being tired all the time - not sure why I can't get a good night sleep. It's been nice having Kurt home the last few days, when I got home from work - I was surprised with a nice dinner. Olivia's eczema has been acting up the last few days, had to go to the store and get some ace bandages to wrap her knees and arms with so she doesn't scratch them all up. She is not very happy about that but at least she can't hurt herself. Poor thing. We did go to the park for a bit, let her run around - play on the swings and slides. Had a few errands to run and that was about it.

Monday, 17 August

Another really nice day, even though it was a Monday the evening was wonderful. Did my cardio in the morning, worked through lunch and left a little early. As a surprise, I picked up Chinese food from the Peking House for dinner. Kurt was happy about that. Olivia just wanted th fortune cookies. She was being very sweet - she is becoming a little impatient at times. If she wants something, she wants it right away. Terrible two's???? After dinner, I cut the grass and fed the fish, then I got stuff ready for tomorrow. While I was giving Olivia a bath, Kurt surprised us with some soft serve ice cream... yum. Gave Olivia a breathing treatment and got her in pajamas. She has a heat rash right now, I think it's from this weekend and being at Daycare. It's a little warm there. Her arms are all bumpy. I just worry about her scratching. After that, we watched a little tv and pretty much that was it for the night. Really nice evening.

Sunday, 16 August

Another really nice day.... We got up, had some breakfast and coffee. Olivia slept for almost 12 hours. Got her up and dressed and fed then I made a big batch of pasta salad for Aunt Betty's 70th birthday party. After that, we got the car packed and headed to Brenda's house for the party. It was so much fun to see everyone. The house was packed with people, got to see all of the relatives. Olivia went swimming again and had a blast. She just loves the water. We ate lots of food (Really good stuff - I was stuffing myself to the gills). We were there til about 5:00 pm and then headed home. I drove the way back and it was hard keeping my eyes open. Being in the sun and eating all that food made me very tired but got home without incident. We unpacked the car, fed the animals and gave Olivia her bath. Put her in pajamas and then ate some dinner. We watched a movie and pretty much that was it for the evening. Really nice spending time with Kurt and Olivia. Really nice weekend all around.

Saturday, 15 August

Had a fantastic day today. The whole day was really nice. Got to sleep in, Kurt got up with animals and fed them, got Olivia up and fed her. It was so nice to sleep in past 6 am. Got up around 8, had some coffee and cereal. After breakfast, got showered and dressed, got Olivia ready for the day and we all headed to my parent's house. My cousins Mike, Jason and Andrea were over with Mike's daughter Elery, and my Aunt Sue and Uncle Dale were over visiting as well. It was so great to see everyone. Shon, Tracy, Hudson and Ivy stopped over too. So we hung out, caught up, watched the kids interact - it was a really nice afternoon. After that, we headed to Royal Oak (Ugh, Dream Cruise traffic was horrible) and went to Bill and Jim's Dream Cruise party. Had a great time there also, Olivia got to swim, hung out with the guys and had an awesome dinner. We hung out their until about 6:00 pm and then came back to the house. Got Olivia cleaned up and just relaxed for a bit. Around 8:00 pm, Kayla came over to watch Olivia. Kurt and I headed back to the party and hung out with Bill, Derrick, Zack, Jim, Chelsea, Marleen, Tony, Brian, Eric and Brett. It was a blast - we then went up to Pronto. Met up with Kerrin there. Stayed there till about midnight then we all went up to Gold Coast. Just a fun evening... hanging out with the boys.

Friday, 14 August

Another week has come to an end..... Time just flies by. Work was okay, glad it's the weekend though. We had Mariah come over around 8 pm to watch Olivia while Kurt and I went out. Kurt has the whole weekend off so really looking forward to going out. At 8, we headed up to Pronto and hung out with Mark, John, Mike, Dan & Kerrin. Got to see a bunch of people I haven't seen in a long time - we had a lot of fun. Didn't stay out to late, probably left around midnight or so. We came home and pretty much crashed. Fun night.

Thursday, 13 August

Another magazine cover for Olivia. Thursday was a good evening, after work came home, got changed, took Olivia outside to play on the swing and slide. We then decided to go out for some dinner (McDonalds... I did not have any though). We stopped at Priss salon to drop off some stuff to Jon. I got a free chair massage while I was there, it was awesome. After that, drove through the crazy Woodward Dream Cruise traffic... I hate it. Ugh. I did some something funny though. I saw a traveling strip club. Funny. Got Olivia home and we watched Big Brother then I put Olivia to bed. It was a good night.

Wednesday, 12 August

Not much going on today... worked then came home. Cleaned the house and cut the grass... that's it. Not very exciting.

Tuesday, 11 August

We had a really fun evening on Tuesday. After work, picked up Olivia, got her home and cleaned up - we then headed to down town Royal Oak for their Kid Cruise 2009. Olivia had a great time and we got to see Jennifer Thomas and Jake. Olivia has a major crush on Jake. We visited with Aunt Marlene before that then went to the Kid Cruise. They had a bunch of different trucks out for the kids to get in - Police Car, Fire Truck, Construction trucks (Hi-Low, digger, etc). Olivia loved the trucks and had fun honking the horn. She got on a big blow - up slide with Jake. She did not want to get off it. So funny. We then went to dinner at Pronto. After dinner, came home and I got her ready for bed. Kurt went out for the evening. After getting her to sleep, I cleaned up a bit and did some laundry.

Monday, 10August

Seriously... could there be anyone as cute as Olivia? No.. of course not. :) I decided to make gazpacho this evening. Healthy, tasty, lots of prep work though. It took about an hour of cutting up vegetables to make it. It turned out really good though. While I was prepping it up, Olivia starting singing "We will we will Rock You"... I was like, what, huh, what did you say. She started singing it again. How funny is that. So of course I had to video tape it, call Kurt and have her sing it to him - I will put up the video. We had a nice dinner, pretty low key evening. Gave her a bath then we all watched a little TV until she fell asleep. I was out cold soon after that.

Sunday, August 9, 2009

Sunday, 9 August

I had a really nice day. Got up and had some coffee, Olivia and I went on a walk around the block. She pushed her baby stroller about half way then she wanted to race. She ran non-stop for about 2 block. I couldn't believe how long she ran for. We came back to the house, fed the fish, cleaned up the yard from the storm then she played with her monkey bars for a bit. Kurt got up by then. We went to Best Buy, got a new game and Kurt got a new cable, stopped at Lowes and then picked up some carry out for dinner. Chinese. Yum. Mike and Dan came over, we all ate dinner, watched part of Sex in the City then played Wii Trivial Pursuit. It was a lot of fun hanging out with the boys. Seriously... How cute is Olivia????

Saturday, August 8, 2009

Saturday, 8 August

Had to miss gymnastics this morning. Had too much going on plus it was raining non-stop all day long. Ran a bunch of errands, got the house cleaned, had my haircutting appointment. We were suppose to go on a Kid Playdate but the weather was preventing that. After getting back from my haircut, Kurt got up and we had some lunch. After that, we met up with Michael at the mall - got a few things for Olivia at Macy's. Great great great deals. Got a really cute jacket - it has these little monkey stuffed animals on it - marked at $54.00 but when they rang it up - it was only $4.99. After that, came home and pretty much did nothing, it was such a blah day.

Friday, 7 August

It's Friday. In such a good mood - weekend is here and I have nothing really that I have to do so looking forward to relaxing a bit. Work was good, busy day. After work, got home and made dinner for Kurt, Olivia and I. After that, Kurt went to work while Olivia and I played on her swing set. Very hot night so we were not out that long. Ended up going to Target and getting a few things. Later that evening, got a call from a friend that got a flat tire so I did my good deed of the day and drove up to Birmingham to help change it. Took about an hour beause the wheel was rusted on. Got home, put Olivia to bed then cleaned for about an hour or so.

Thursday, 6 August

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM AND SHON! Had a pretty busy day. Not much sleep, mainly because the dogs had issues and kept having to go outside. Kurt had sampled several new red bull products and he couldn't fall asleep either. So finally, just got up around 4:00, watched a little TV, updated facebook and then worked out. Got showered, dressed, got Olivia up and ready - she says when I get her up "Love you the most" - it makes my day. Dropped her off at daycare and got to work. Work was fine. It's Thursday, almost the weekend. After work, came home - got changed and then started out in the yard. Cut the grass, edged, trimmed - all that kind of stuff. Olivia did help me out. She was very good at watering the drive way. After that, I made some delcious Oreo Cookie Cheesecake. So good. Made dinner, did some cleaning and then we hung out watching a little TV. It was a good day.

Wednesday, 5 August

What a fun evening.... After work, picked up Olivia, brought her home and started packing dinner for us. We were going to the zoo for the concert in the park and meeting up with Amy and Camden, Elina and her 2 boys. Made some goat cheese pizza and with spinach - very delicious and a cheese sandwich for Olivia (her new favorite), plus some cut up cheese and watermelon. We got to the zoo around 6:15 and decided to go to the butterfly house while we waited for Kurt to get done with work. He got there around 6:40. So we ate dinner and then walked around the zoo. It was such a nice family day. We learned a lot at the amphibian house - the woman working there was so knowledgeable. We went to the polar bear house, Olivia decided she wanted to push the stroller the whole way with no help from us. It was funny, any time we tried to help steer, she would get all mad and say - No hands, I do it myself. Very cute. We stayed there till it closed then headed back home. I think all the walking tuckered Olivia out. So got her home and into her pajamas then put her to bed. She fell asleep pretty fast. The dogs, well - One of them had an accident in the house, so Kurt cleaned that up while I was putting Olivia to bed (Thanks Kurt). After that, we watched Master Chef on Bravo and went to bed.

Tuesday, 4 August

Had a really nice evening. After work, met Kurt down the street and we headed to Kensington to meet up with Kurt's parents for dinner. We stopped at "The Children's Palace" before hand and got some stuff for Olivia. Great deals going on. Had to get some pajamas as well, she is growing right out of her old ones, so stocked up on them. After shopping, met up for dinner at Coney. Food was delicious and it was good seeing mom and dad. Olivia was being a little feisty. She ate really well though, Mac and Cheese. After dinner, came home and pretty much got Olivia ready for bed. She did not want to go to sleep so we let her lay down with us for a little bit. Eventually got her to bed and tried falling asleep myself. My insomnia kicked in - tossed and turned most of the evening.

Monday, 3 August

How did the weekend go by so fast? I took a sleeping pill last night and it maid me so groggy this morning... really hard getting up to do cardio but I did do it. At lunch, good chest workout - but still very tired. After work, picked up the dry cleaning then came home. Picked up a bit, took out the recycling then started getting stuff ready for Tuesday. Olivia was being super cute. We ate dinner (Kurt cooked) then got it cleaned up. Kurt then went into work so I took Olivia for a walk around the block. Came home and let her play on the swings aned monkey bars. It was then bath time followed by pajamas. I was surprised how easily she went to bed, she has been fussy the last few days. After she fell asleep - I watched some Family Guy then had some stuff for work to do.

Sunday, 2 August

Was in bed for about 11 hours or so, headache went away finally. Feel so much better. SO got up and fed the animals, by then Olivia was up so got her up and fed. We had a really good morning - I had my coffee (no headache today from lack of caffeine) and fed Olivia cereal. We then got dressed and went ofr a walk. She did really good, walked around the block and to the park. We then came home, fed the fish and I started cleaning the downstairs really good while she played in her toy room. Did three loads of laundry then got Olivia cleaned up and dressed to go to Grandma and Grandpa's house. Kurt got up so we all went to the store to get a few things before heading over to my parents. Visited with them for a while before heading out to lunch. Went to Mexican Fiesta, my mom's favorite restaurant. We were celebrating my mom's birthday so gave her gift and took them out to lunch. It was such a nice afternoon. My parents took Olivia back to the house so Kurt and I could go to ikea for a bit. Bought a swing and monkey bars for Olivia to play with in the garage. It's pretty cool. We then headed back to my parents, got Olivia and then headed home. It was such a fun day. Got home, put up the swing set (Olivia loves it) then relaxed for a bit. We had leftovers for dinner - it was delicious. Took Olivia for a walk and then called it a night. Nice weekend except the headache part.

Saturday, 1 August

Saturday was a busy day.... Got up and fed the animals, Olivia was up by then so made her some breakfast. While she was eating, I did my cardio workout. Olivia decided she was done with her pancakes by throwing them on the floor. Not too happy about that. SO cleaned up then got showered, got Olivia cleaned up and dressed. We then went to the drycleaners and dropped off some shirts, went to Gymnastics and then had some lunch. Olivia decided not too eat lunch but rather eat a cupcake. After that, came home - Kurt was up by then. He got cleaned up and we heaed over to Erica's house for a surprise birthday party for Becca. We had a great time there. Olivia went swimming, had fun with everyone - it was a good time. I started getting a migraine though around 3:00 - by 7:00, it was horrible. Mike and Dan drove us home. I got home, and went right to bed with Olivia. Luckily she was tired, I woke up around 9:30 and my head was still throbbing so I gave Olivia her bath then got her to bed. I then tried going back to bed, but my head was pounding and I actually got nauseous from it. It was still a fun day though and really glad we went to the party.
