Friday, 31 July

I'm so glad it's Friday, a long week and I'm so tired. Work was good, very quiet - a lot of people took the day off so it was kind of nice and no distractions. After work, came home - Kurt and Olivia were running around the house playing. I was greeted with a big hug, luckily I had jeans and chocolate hand prints could wash out easily. After putting on some shorts, we went outside and watered the plants then came in and had some dinner. Not lavish, just some pasta and chicken. Kurt then had to go into work - my evening was pretty uneventful. We took a trip to the park, Olivia just loves going on the swing set. It was a nice long walk and she managed to walk the entire trip. Stayed in and watched a movie with Olivia. We rented Coraline - it was cute, the movie's main characters were from Pontiac so that was cool to see. After the movie, got Olivia in bed. I was on facebook for a bit but then went to bed.

Thursday, 30 July

After work, came home - hung out with Kurt and Olivia for a bit. Then worked on the yard, cut the front and back yard, edged, trimmed and watered the plants. Got Olivia cleaned up and we headed to Target to get a few things. They build a brand new one and it just opened not too far from the house. It's really nice, so Olivia and I went shopping. On the way home I stopped at Del Taco (It just opened up in the parking lot of Target). Delicious... I ate deep fried jalapeno bites... really good but I will pay for it tomorrow. After that, got home and braided Olivia's hair. Gave her a bath and got her in pajamas. We then watched a little TV before going to bed. Nice relaxing evening.

Wednesday, 29 July

It was such a rough day. Got up several times during the evening and then just got up for good around 4:30. Only got maybe 2 hours of sleep. Dropped off Olivia with Christy and then got to work. Long day and I was like a zombie. Got through it though. After work, picked up Olivia and then got home. Kurt was working during the day so he got home around 6 and brought dinner with him. It was good, had a salad and soup. After that, we had to run to a hair supply store to get stuff for Olivia. Her scalp is really dry and she has been scratching it a lot. So got stuff for her then I went out and met up with a friend for coffee. We talked website stuff. After that, I surprised Kurt with some ice cream (just for him, none for myself). I then went to bed. Tired Tired Tired.

Tuesday, 28 July

I had such a great night. After work, came home - Kayla came over and watched Olivia while Kurt and I met up Bret, Bill, Derreck, Jim, Tony, Brian and Tony. We went to Inyo in Ferndale. New Sushi restaurant. We had drinks to start with then lots of appetizers and then a fantastic meal. Topped off with Green Tea ice cream. It was so good, food was great but just hanging out with everyone was so much fun. I really like all the guys. We then went to Rosie O'gradys. It just opened and is so nice. We had more drinks there (They even ordered pizza - but I didn't have any of that). It was so much fun, just really fun cool people. I would have stayed a lot longer but the morning comes fast and long day tomorrow. We left around 12:30 or so... so tired and it was going to be an early morning. So Thanks again to Jim and Bill for taking us all out. What a fun night. (Wish I brought my camera...so many funny moment) B.E.T. , Light as a Feather and Here's to Tony's baby. (inside joke).

Monday, 27 July

My poor little girl is sick. Really congested, heavy breathing, just wanting to be held. I feel so bad for her. Luckily Kurt was off last night and can stay with her at home. She got up around 3:00 am for a bit, gave her a breathing treatment and rocked with her for about 1/2 hour, then at 4:00 am, just decided to stay up with her. She just wanted to be held, so I laid downstairs with her until about 6:00 am then I had to get up to get ready for work. I put her in bed with Kurt. Went to work - day went by fast. Came home and hung out with Olivia. We went to Mike and Dan's house to have dinner. Olivia was feeling a little bit better. Hopefully she is better by tomorrow. Had dinner then brought her home. Rocked with her until she fell asleep. Poor thing didn't really eat at all today just drank a lot of juice. After putting her to bed, I was exhausted so I pretty much went to bed as well.

Sunday, 26 July

The weekend just flew by. Got up very early, Olivia did not want to sleep. She has started not wanting to go to sleep and will cry out our names till we get her. She will go a half hour of "Daddy, Daddy, Daddy, Daddy". SO got up and got her dressed. We went for a long walk around the neighborhood. She pushed her stroller the entire walk. I then made her some breakfast, she played outside while I cut the grass and fixed the water fountain. Finished up the laundry and cleaned the downstairs bedroom. Kurt got up and we went to Best Buy. Got a new laptop, then went to Red Robin for lunch. Delicious. After that, came home and watched a movie. I had a bunch of stuff to do around the house so worked on that. Made some dinner for us and we called it a night. Olivia is getting a cold or it could be her sinuses. She is really stuffy and having a hard time breathing. Gave her some medicine and a breathing treatment. Hope this doesn't last long. Poor little girl, hate when she is sick.

Saturday, 25 July

The day flew by. Got up and fed the animals, Olivia got up - so took her with me to drop off Jake. We then came home, gave her a bath, got her dressed then got cleaned up. Got Kurt up and we all headed to Saginaw for the funeral. Olivia was a little too full of energy when we got there, so I ended up walking around the funeral home with her during the funeral ceremony. It was very touching, very sad. After the funeral, we headed back home. Kurt had to work - so drove home and did some stuff around the house. Fed and let out Jake, took Olivia to the store then came home and made dinner. She had a cough, and was sneezing a lot. Put her to bed with some medicine. A friend came over and we hung out for a bit, watched a movie. Then pretty much went to bed.

Friday, 24 July

These pictures are from one of our many trips to Camp Raymo. This is from 2003 - Bike Trip. We had a lot of fun. It's Friday.

I left after lunch, went to Saginaw to be supportive of a friend. Brought Olivia with me, my friend's mother had passed away, wanted to be there for my friend. Feel so bad, my heart breaks for him. So brought Olivia, took about 1 1/2 hours to get there. Not a bad drive and Olivia slept through most of it. Spent some time there - then headed back. Picked up Jake and brought him over for the night. The dogs were really good together. Cats got freaked out. The whole night, all three dogs slept on the bed with me. So funny, I had an inch of room while the dogs sprawled out. It was a pretty quiet night.

Thursday, 23 July

This was from Taco Night - July 2003. Holy Cow, what a difference our basement use to look like. That was a fun night - we use to do it quite often, have eveything for people to make tacos and then hang out and play games. Need to start doing that again. Fun times. Thursday night was okay, got some sad news about a friend. My heart is breaking for him. The evening was pretty low key - hung out with Olivia, just felt like doing nothing and that's pretty much what I did - nothing. Got lots of hugs and kisses from Olivia and it's exactly what I needed.

Wednesday, 22 July

These pictures are from the 2004 Beer Olympics in Grosse Pointe. Team Ghetto Fab. Kurt was the victor. I was a judge. Wednesday, what a crappy weather day. Rained on and off all day and night. Was suppose to take Olivia to the zoo for the concert in the park but got rained out. Instead I visited with my friend Jon at his salon Priss in Birmingham. Very cool salon - very minimalistic and pretty much everything is white. Cool stuff. Olivia was showing off to the women there. She was being very cute. We then got came home and I made dinner. It was then bath time followed by story time and then bed time. I had a bunch of stuff to do so worked on a few things before going to bed.

Tuesday, 21 July

This was sooo much fun. It was Todd Lloyd's big party back in May 2006. So much fun. What a blast. Anyway -My Tuesday night was really nice. Came home and Kurt had been preparing dinner for us. Barbecue Ribs, Corn on the Cob, Salad, Tomatoes and Cucumber salad, everything was so good. I ate way too much. Ugh. Stuffed but so worth the tummy ache. Kurt took Olivia for a walk while I cleaned up then we just spent a family night in. It was nice, all 3 of us hung out upstairs, Olivia did not want to go to bed so we let her hang out with us a little later than usual until she fell asleep. Just a really nice day.

Monday, 20 July

CHICAGO, July 2003. This was such a fun trip. We had a blast, so many funny stories. Turkish Restaurant Disaster, Microwave Confusion, Missing the Bathroom, Anna Nicole.... just funny funny stuff. My Monday really nice (for a Monday). After work, came home - got changed and we all went to the mall to return some birthday stuff. So exchanged some pants and sunglasses, had dinner at the Food Court and then came home. Olivia did not want to go to bed - so she ended up laying with us while we watched TV. Every time I tried to take her into her bedroom, she would roll over and hug Kurt and wouldn't let go. Yes, it's very sweet but we don't want to get in a habit of it.

Sunday, 19 July

I slept for almost 8 hours. This was a first. Decided to feed the animals before going to bed - that way they would let me sleep and they did. My mom dropped off Olivia around 11:00 - she was a little cranky. She did not want Grandma to leave. Put her down for a little nap and after about a half hour she was up and happy. We had some lunch and then we went for a walk around the block. Olivia pushes her stroller all the way, it was a long walk and she did not want to get held at all. Such a big girl. Kurt had to go into work early so the rest of the day - Olivia and I spent it going on a bike ride, getting ice cream in town, playing in the park, just a fun day. Got home and gave her some dinner then got her to bed right away. I then did laundry, cleaned up the house and got stuff ready for Monday. Really nice weekend.

Saturday, 18 July

These pictures are from 2004 - it was a weekend of Christmas shopping gone wrong. I don't think we bought anything - spent our money at the bar instead. It's the gift that keeps on giving. Saturday was a lot of fun. Took Olivia to gymnastics, it went so well - she loves it. I then took her over to my parents house. She was spending the night. Kurt and I had a big party to go to. Really looking forward to Joe's Yearly Big Bash. So got home, we then had some lunch - ran some errands. Went to the movies and saw the new Harry Potter film. Really good. We then got cleaned up and headed out to Pronto. Met up with Michael - for a cocktail. Then went to Joe's party. Had so much fun, got to see Mark, John, Joel, just tons of people. Really great night. Stayed out pretty late - was at the party to about midnight, then went back to Pronto until about 1:30 - stopped at Burger King and then came home. Fun Fun Fun times.

Friday, 17 July

It's Friday. Just looking at a bunch of old pictures and remembering some good times. This is from 2001 - We were playing Yatzee - Game night. Yatzee and a keg. It's so weird to see the house looks so different. That was a long time ago. Riley was really young then, he's now an old man. JT and Jennifer are both pregnant on their second child. Michelle has moved away, and Tony - not really sure what happened to him. This was so fun. Good Times. My Friday was really good, Olivia and I had a fantastic evening. We played at the park, took a bike ride, I brought a ball with us and she ran around kicking it. She is getting really good with making sentences now. Before, everything was one or maybe two words. Now - for example. "Daddy, me use rail myself" (She was climbing the stairs like a big girl and using the railing). We got home, had some dinner - then watched some Spong Bob. I was really tired, I actually fell asleep while texting a friend.

I've been going through some old pictures - just posting some old pics of Kurt and I from the last 9 years. Just cracks me up looking back and some of the fun/crazy/wild times we have had. I know we are lucky to have each other.... the time just flies by when your having fun.
