Monday, 31 March

Back to work and the last day of March. So got up, feeling so much better - just a little pressure in my knee. Got animals fed, made coffee and then got Olivia's bottle warmed up. Got her antibiotics ready for her and then got her up. She was up with a big smile on her face. She drank her bottle while I changed her and got her dressed. She cracks me up, I think she is so use to the routine that when I needed her arm to put on her shirt - she would stick it out and then grab the bottle back then put her other arm out and grab the bottle again. Just funny. Her big thing is also playing the drums on everything - I may have to go get her some bongos or something like that. So got her all set and then grabbed all my stuff and was out the door, I dropped her off and then went to the gym. Felt good working out - did chest. After that got all ready for work, took my antibiotics and went to the office. Big mistake - within a few minutes I got sick all over myself. Had to drive back home, change my clothes, reshower and then dressed again - then back to work. So the day was fine, got a lot accomplished. At lunch time, got stuff for my dad for his birthday and dog food/cat food. Finished my day at work then picked up Olivia. We had a couple of daycares to interview so went to one right by my office (within a half mile). It was perfect, the woman is so nice, house clean, lots of fun toys and a whole huge area for playing, plus next door is another daycare and they share outside toys. Olivia is going to love that. So I cancelled the second interview and took Olivia home. Fed the animals and started cleaning up. Got Olivia changed and in some play clothes - she played while I did her hair and gave her a bath. After that, I picked up dinner (Thai food - yum) and then we ate. Got Olivia dinner and ready for bed, packed up stuff and rocked her before putting her down. I got ready for bed and pretty much fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. On a side note - Happy About this, I made Bravo (The TV channel) Person of the Day. Sunday, 30 March

Got up and feeling a lot better - the pressure on my leg is no where near what it was. My one leg is started to scab over - almost completly healed and then my knee is still draining but feeling so much better. It should be healing over within a couple of days. So got up and decided to make breakfast on the new stove. It's really the first thing I have cooked on it in both the oven and stove. So backed biscuits and fried some ham and then made scrambled eggs with cheese and sliced ham. It was pretty good, the biscuits came out perfect. So we all ate, Olivia loves scrambled eggs and biscuits. Kurt was going to work all day on the kitchen so I was in charge of keeping Olivia entertained all day. I played with her, gave her a bath, got her dressed, cleaned the bedrooms up, did laundry and dishes. At lunch time, I picked up Taco Bell (Yummy) Starting diet on Monday. We then watched a little TV. I then went to the movies with Michael and Dan while Kurt worked on the counters and watched Olivia. It was the worse movie ever - 10,000 BC. Nothing about it was accurate, the graphics were bad, acting bad, the story line wasn't there. So bad but we had fun making fun of the movie. Plus got popcorn. After that, I dropped the boys off, relieved Kurt of watching Olivia. Got her cleaned up and fed her dinner, got her ready for bed then we chilled out for a bit before I put her down. Once she fell asleep, I got lunches ready, coffee ready for Monday, packed my gym bag, diaper bag and got clothes ready for work. I then went to bed, I was tired.... Kurt is doing such a great job in the kitchen. As of right now, all but two cabinets are in. Just those two cabinets, the sink, dishwasher and floors have to go in. I think within two weeks it will all be done, I'm going to start painting this coming week - repaint the Living Room and Kitchen.

Saturday, 29 March

Got up, I thought my leg was feeling better but it still hurts. The only good thing is that the infection is now starting to ooze out. Gross but it feels better. So got up and made coffee, fed the dogs, and then sat down for a while. Kurt was busy the whole day working on the kitchen. It's coming along so nicely - he is doing a fantastic job. This morning we have the dishwasher being delivered and Kurt is working on finishing up all the upper cabinets and the working on the lower cabinets by the Refrigerator. So he worked on that, went with Michael to get more cabinets and I played with Olivia, fed her, changed her, gave her a bath. By the time Kurt got back, Olivia was taking a nap - so Kurt continued with the kitchen and I picked up lunch. We have been eating so bad lately but that changes on Monday. Most of the afternoon, I had to elevate my leg and watch Olivia while Kurt worked. Around 8:00 pm, we met Michael and Dan for dinner at Pronto, it was so good - I was hungry. We then got ice cream at Baskin Robin. After that, we got home and I put Olivia to bed and then went to bed myself. Kurt cleaned up and then went to bed.

Friday, 28 March

It's Friday. Feeling a little better this morning, I was able to walk without too much pain. Dropped off Olivia and got to the gym, did a back workout. I was limping but that was about it. My knee only hurts when I keep it still for a while and then try walking again. Work was okay, the day went by fast due to the fact I had yesterday off and lots to catch up on. So worked all morning and through lunch, ate a nice healthy salad and then finished up my day. Picked up Olivia and my leg started bothering me again. Got home and fed the animals, put away the garbage cans and then got Olivia changed. I played with her but I had to keep my leg still - it was hurting everytime I moved. The swelling started up again - Ugh, I just want to feel better. Kurt got home and got changed quickly to go to Pronto. It's the only night he works there this week, happy about that. After he left, I was going to make dinner but leg was bothering me too much so just fed Olivia apple sauce and a jar of baby food then gave her a bottle later in the evening. Her favorite thing is trying to walk so I sat on the floor holding her hands while she practiced. She is getting so good at it. She will also hold the crib and stand for long periods of time just shaking her torso, it's so cute. Around 9 pm, I gave her the last bottle for the night and rocked her. She fell asleep, so I put her to bed and then pretty much went to bed myself. Leg elevated. I took my antibiotic and fell asleep.

Thursday, 27 March

So got up through out the night in a lot of pain - ended up sleeping on the couch for a bit and waiting until morning to go to the hospital. I got Olivia up and got her changed, cleaned up and dressed - it was tough but was able to do that. Then headed over to Day Care, dropped her off and then right to the hospital. I got checked in at 6:00 am and I was there till about noon. After triage checked me in, I was brought into a room where they took blood, ran some tests, gave me an IV of antibiotics, removed some of the infection in my one leg, then the worst thing - I got a 1 inch needle stuck in my leg without any numbing medication. Not only was the needle stuck in my knee but the doctor had to poke around releasing the pus pockets then he stuck the needle in the joint of my knee and removed joint fluid. It was really painful but I got through it. They had to test that, in the meantime my knee was getting bigger so they then had to cut it open to release some of the pressure (fluids and pus). It was really gross, and I'm not kidding when they filled up what looked to be a small drinking glass of the infection. After that, my leg felt a lot better, I was able to at least bend my knee and the pressure wasnt' there. They prescribed painkillers and strong antibiotics. I was able to leave after that, so headed to the pharmacy got my meds then went home. I felt pretty good (the vicodin kicked in) so I washed/bleeched the sheets, the towels, I rewashed all of the dishes/glasses (dishwasher), cleaned the bathroom with disinfectant and sprayed down the bedrooms with disinfectant. After that I showered with the prescribed antibacterial wash and then took my meds. Almost immediately afterwards, I got nauseous and got sick in the sink. I had to leave to go get Olivia so suffered through the drive and picked her up. At this point, my leg started swelling again (more vicodin) - but I wanted to wait to take any painkillers until Kurt got home. So Olivia and I went downstairs and played, watched a movie and I fed her until Kurt got home. He worked on the breakfast bar, it's almost done and it looks great. So leg started hurting again but elevating it seemed to help. I took my meds again before bed, felt sick again but not as bad and went to sleep. I slept actually really good - I put a pillow between my knees and I slept fine. By morning I was even able to put pressure on my knee without hurting. Hopefully by tomorrow I will be painfree.

Wednesday, 26 March

Okay, this is day 3 of being on Antibiotics and I'm not feeling any better. I guess just suffer through. So got up, limping - I woke up several times during the night because the cats jumped on my knee - so very tired but still got up. Got Olivia up, fed her, got her dressed and cleaned up, packed the diaper bag, got lunches made, made coffee, fed the animals, packed up the car - Kurt wasn't feeling very well so I let him sleep in. I then headed off to drop Olivia off, did that then went to the gym. Bad idea. My leg was killing me - but ended up doing a chest workout. Got to work, I was fine if I was just sitting but then trying to walk after that my knee would hurt. At lunch, I ended up just staying in because it hurting too bad to walk - finally around 2:30, I couldn't take it anymore so I left. Picked up Olivia and went home - only home for a few minutes because I made an appointment for Olivia to see her pediatrician. Wanted to follow up with them and get her antibiotics changed. The appointment went well, they are so nice there. Dr. Wasserberry is really nice and the nurses at the front desk are the kindest people. So after that, went to CVS and got her prescription filled, got a surprise for Kurt and went home. I was having such a hard time walking that I brought Olivia in and then had her lay down with me. I couldn't even go down the stairs. Kurt got home shortly after that, I tried to help out in the kitchen but it was hard for me to move. Kurt picked up take out and we had dinner, I hopped along trying to get Olivia ready for bed - fed her and changed her. She was out cold. I went to bed but couldn't sleep - I got up a few times during the night to go to the hospital but decided to wait until morning after I drop Olivia off at daycare.

Tuesday, 25 March

Back to work, it's been a nice long break. Dropped off Olivia at Daycare and went to the gym - got an okay arm workout in. Work was good, lots to do so the day flew by. At lunch time, I went to the grocery store and got dishwasher detergent and some baby food. I also got some snacks to keep at my desk. After that, finished my day at work. Picked up Olivia and headed home. She was so cute - Daycare said she was very talkative all day long. Came home and fed the animals. Then I made some Streudel muffins to take to Mike and Dan's house. Got Olivia changed and all of us went to M & D's house for dinner. They made Lasagna, it was really good. We had dinner and dessert, watched some TV. It was a really nice night. We then came home and put Olivia to bed, got stuff packed for Wednesday and went to bed.

Monday, 24 March

I got up, feeling a little better - still sore. Had some coffee and then had a muffin, All I feel like doing lately is eating. Ugh. So then got Olivia up and dressed, we went grocery shopping, came home and we played for a while. Put her down for a nap, and while she was sleeping I got rid of some of the kitchen tiles - about 1/2 way done (There are two layers of tiles). So after that, cleaned up and then Olivia got up. Fed her lunch, started making dinner - it was really good. Grilled Turkey breast, sour cream and chive potatoes, Dill stuffing and dinner rolls. It was very good. So after Kurt got home, I took a bunch of bags of tiles to the dumpster. Then came home and cleaned up, got my stuff ready for work on Tuesday. Made some bottles up, packed up the diaper bag. It was a good day, got to spend a lot of time with Olivia and I'm feeling better. I need to take some pictures of the kitchen in progress, Kurt is doing such a great job. As of now, all of the upper cabinets are up on the North, South and East walls. The breakfast bar is getting close to being done and we can do the floors soon.

Sunday, 23 March

HAPPY EASTER! Got up early, made coffee and made breakfast. The new stove wasn't set up yet (it's a 220 box and we just have the regular connection), so I cooked everything in the George Forman grill (the biscuits, bacon and eggs). I made breakfast sandwiches and they were delicious. So we had that and coffee and after that, Olivia woke up so I got her bottle and then changed her. So cute - she is so cute. After that, we got cleaned up and ran a few errands. Then came home and Kurt worked on the cabinets (they look so great - he is doing such a great job) and I took Olivia for a walk with the dogs. So big adventure for the day - I ended up going to the Emergency room, I had these bumps on my leg and they were causing me a lot of pain, so much that I was having a hard time to walk. So went to the hospital and they took blood, they had to drain the infected bumps and they put me on high dosage of Antibiotics. They took cultures and they told me it's an MRSA infection (infections that are resistant to most antibiotics). Here is a little info about it: MRSA, generally start as small red bumps that resemble pimples, boils or spider bites. These can quickly turn into deep, painful abscesses that require surgical draining. Sometimes the bacteria remain confined to the skin. But they can also burrow deep into the body, causing potentially life-threatening infections in bones, joints, surgical wounds, the bloodstream, heart valves and lungs. Gross right! So I was at the hospital for about 3 hours, came home then got my prescription and that was most of my night. I was in pain all night, could barely sleep.

Saturday, 22 March

Got up and let the dogs out. I felt pretty refreshed. Slept in a bit - made coffee and had some cereal. Olivia was up by then, so fed her a bottle and we played. My leg started hurting, not sure what the matter with it. I have 2 bumps on each leg and it seems to be getting worse. Anyway, got showered and dressed, gave Olivia her bath and dressed, Kurt got up - he worked late last night. He started working on the cabinets. Friday night, I had taken down two of the old cabinets and prepped up the wall for it. Kurt then got showered and dressed and we headed out to meet my parents, Tracy, Hudson and Ivy for lunch at Mexican Fiesta. It was great seeing everyone and the food was so good. Great choice to go there. So we ate and talked - it was really nice. After that, my parents gave Olivia her Easter Basket (lots of treats for us too). We then stopped at Lowes to pick up some stuff for the kitchen. We then headed home, Kurt worked on the cabinets and I took the dogs for a walk (with Olivia). We walked for about an hour, came home and Olivia went down for a nap. When she woke up, fed her and got her changed - Kurt left for work. It was a fun night, we went to Toys R Us for new shoes, we also got two videos (Baby Einstein) and then went home to watch a video. She loved the video, she danced to the music and played with her blocks. She was up a little late compared to normal but then she might sleep in late. So after putting her to bed, I cleaned up the kitchen and some laundry. Went to bed around midnight.

Friday, 21 March

Today was a really busy day. Got up early and got Olivia ready for daycare. Even though I had the day off I wanted to take her there for a few hours so I could go to the gym and get stuff at Lowes. So dropped her off, got some horrible news - the daycare is going to close because of the owner's son getting accepted into a new program (he was born with a spinal condition) so good news for them but it stinks I have to find a new daycare. So worked out then picked up cabinets at Lowes, dropped them off, went to English Gardens to get flowers then got more coffee beans at Beaner's Coffee and then got more cabinets and picked up Olivia. Came home and got Olivia cleaned up and fed her lunch. We then had to take Riley to the vets - it's arthritis. They prescribed him some medicine and I got him some Flex-All joint repair meds too. Riley was so funny, he was so protective of Olivia, he would not let anyone near her while we were at the doctors office. He growled if one of the workers came near her. So got home and put Olivia down for anap. Cleaned up a bit and by then Kurt got home. He was only home for a little bit before heading out for work. It started snowing - ugh, snow. Went out to dinner with Michael and Dan, I had egg salad. So ate and hung out for a bit then went home. Olivia was wide awake so we played and by 9:30 she was ready for bed. After that, I read for a bit and watched a little TV. I fell asleep watching "Less Than Zero".

Thursday, 20 March

Olivia looks so much better, I'm so happy that her scalp is almost completely cleared up. So got up, refreshed - fed the dogs, poor Riley is not doing good. He has been limping for the last few days and I think it's getting worse. I'm taking him to the vet tomorrow. So fed them, then got Olivia ready and headed out the door. Dropped her off then went to the gym - I did over 1200 sit ups. Then got ready for work - not a bad day, just tiring. I'm always tired and hungry. So anyway at lunch - did cardio and started watching the movie "Awake" with Jessica Alba and the guy that played Anakin in the Star Wars movies, so far - Iffy at best. I will keep watching though. Okay - it was bad, no plot. So finished my day - long weekend - woo. So picked up Olivia and went home. Got her changed and fed the dogs. Riley has gotten worse, made him an appointment for tomorrow. I made dinner, it was okay - anyway, Kurt worked on the cabinets and I did some cleaning. Olivia was being a little cranky so I spoiled her with lots of attention and treats. I was going to go out after Olivia went to bed but instead I wasn't feeling that great so I went to bed early.

Wednesday, 19 March

Got up, and Olivia's infection has gotten worse so I'm taking a half day to take her to the doctors. Got up, got her cleaned, changed and dressed, made lunches, got stuff in car and headed out. Got going a little bit late so only had 1/2 hour to workout in the morning. I did a quick chest work out. Work was busy so went by fast. At lunch, I left to get Olivia - ended up getting some lunch at Ensalada - it's a salad bar, when I called Day Care - they said she just went down for a nap so I decided to wait a little bit before picking her up - explaining the lunch. I also stopped at Walgreen's and got Olivia a new toy for the car. It's a music/sound playing lit up cell phone. She liked it. So got her and went home, changed her and got all the paperwork I needed then went to the doctors. It was pretty fast, I was expecting it to take a while instead we were only there maybe an hour. They said that pretty much, I was doing everything as expected. The popped the infection (gross) and then said to continue on with her antibiotics. She wasn't happy when they popped the infection but she looks so much better. So went home and gave Olivia some juice and a snack and put her in her swing. She ate while I worked on taking out the tile in the kitchen. I got the first layer of tile out and bagged it all - in my car. When Kurt got home, he worked on the cabinets while I made dinner - Mashed potatoes and barbecue pork chops. It was really good. So we ate then went to Lowe's to get some more cabinets. Came home and I gave Olivia a bath and then got her ready for bed. It was a very nice evening and I ended up sleeping straight through the night. I think Olivia must have been really tired - she fell asleep fast. I then got stuff ready for Thursday and folded clothes. After that, went to bed.. I was tired too.

Tuesday, 18 March

I was so tired this morning, I hardly had any energy to get up - I was late getting Olivia to daycare. Got her there and she was asleep - so cute. I then got to the gym and did a shoulder workout -I'm switching up the gym routine, doing weights in the morning and cardio at lunch. After that, got to work and it was a good day. Went by pretty fast. At lunch, did my cardio and watched the rest of the movie - "No Reservations", it was cute, typical, predictable but okay. Finished up my work day and then picked up Olivia. We got home and fed the animals, Olivia slept for a bit in her car seat - so I cleaned up and then she got up. Changed her and gave her medicine, after that - we laid down for a bit in bed and she played. She just loves the remote control. Kurt got home and he worked on the cabinets - it's looking great. Ordered take out and had some dinner, good, fed Olivia and we just hung out for a bit. Olivia has an infection in her scalp so worried about that, may take tomorrow off to take her to the doctors. The dermatologist said it's an infection in one of her pores on the scalp from the cradle cap cream. Hopefully it gets better by tomorrow.

Monday, 17 March

HAPPY ST. PATTY'S DAY Well today started out on the down side - I got up late, forgot Olivia's bottles, and then forgot to pack some stuff in my gym bag. The day got better though, the nice thing is that I was able to drive from the office to Walgreen's - get two new bottles and powdered formula, drop it off at Day Care and be back at the office within 15 minutes. Work flew by today, which was nice. After work - going to pick up Olivia, go home and relax for a bit. Tonight we are going out to dinner and visit Kurt up at Pronto. Kurt is working for the St. Patty's Day celebration. We are just going in for dinner and then coming home. I love the Easter Pictures of Olivia, they came out so nice and she sat so well for them. Ended up not going out to dinner, Olivia wasn't in the best spirits - she got a shot and wasn't happy about it. We ended up staying home and watching a movie together. She also got a bath and got a snack. She fell asleep in my arms last night and it was so sweet. She was holding my arm and as I was rubbing her back while in my arms she just fell asleep - she was snoring quite loud. :) After putting her to bed, got the house cleaned up and packed up my gym bag and the diaper bag. I made lunches (in the dark) right now no lights in the kitchen. Should be done by tomorrow.

Sunday, 16 March

So tired this morning, got up very early and a couple times through the night. I think I ended up just staying awake around 6:00 am, Olivia was wide awake and did not want to be laying in bed anymore. We had breakfast, I made cinnimon rolls and she got her first taste of them. She loved them. Kurt got up early and was working on his project and doing a great job. Right now, the old breakfast bar is gone, he has rerouted the heat vents, built the platform for the new cabinets, framed and leveled everything out. He had the new cabinets in place of the old breakfast bar and is going to be working on the counter tops tomorrow. So he worked on that most of the day and I made a Thanksgiving like dinner. I bought a turkey and cooked that, made real mashed potatoes, stuffing, honey green beans and gravy. We had Michael and Dan over so it was nice seeing them and after dinner we had dessert. Michael and Dan made it - it was so delicious, ice cream, brownies, filled mexican pastries, cinnimon chips, it was so good. I gained 12 pounds. After dinner/dessert, we watched a movie and then I put Olivia to bed. She was so sweet and fell asleep in my arms. What an angel. I got everything cleaned up, folded the laundry, put away dishes and got lunches, coffee, gym bag, diaper bag, bottles all ready for Monday and then I was in bed.

Saturday, 15 March

It's Mid-March already - Wow, time goes by fast. I got up and fed the dogs, they were so annoying - they wouldn't let us sleep so I decided to let Kurt sleep in and take care of them. Fed them, made coffee and then got Olivia up. I fed her and got her cleaned up. She ate and then wanted to play. She played for a couple of hours and by then Kurt got up. Around 10:30 or so, Olivia was getting a little cranky - she was needing a nap so I put her down and she was out within a few seconds. A little after that, my parents came over for a visit. It was nice to see them, they were in the area. So we chatted for a while and then I got Olivia up. She was very happy to see Grandma and Grandpa. Parents couldn't stay very long so they left and then I got cleaned up. Fed Olivia while Kurt worked on the counters. I then took the dogs and her for a walk. I got the Walking Stroller out and we walked over to Michael & Dan's house. It was such a beautiful day out. We were gone for about an hour. We then came back home and I decided to take some pictures of Olivia in her Easter outfit. She was so cute, I took about 50 pictures or so. I was playing with settings on my camera and got some great shots. After that, Kurt hung out with Olivia while I picked up dinner and Olivia's prescription. Came home and we ate dinner, fed Olivia and then we headed over to Mark and John's house. We hung out with them and watched a movie and by then Miss. O had fallen asleep. So we left, came home and I put her to bed and then pretty much went to bed after that.

Friday, 14 March

It's Friday. Once again the weekend will be starting up soon. Just need to get through today and everything is good. Got up this morning, very tired but got through it. My list of things to get done today is ever growing but it's manageable. Olivia was singing when I went to get her up. She was just looking and singing to the mobile hanging over her crib. She drank her bottle this morning and tried talking at the same time. She must of had some really important stuff to say. Got her to Day care and went over a few things with Michelle. After that, got to the gym and did a good shoulder workout. After that, got showered up and dressed and to work. Work was good - it went by pretty fast. I picked up Olivia, came home and got Olivia changed. Kurt was home and had started on his project. He had taken care of the animals too. So I gave Olivia her bath and then got her dressed. Kurt went to work at Pronto. Chelsea (babysitter) came over at 8:30 and I showed her around the place and went over stuff about Olivia. Joel picked me up and we headed out to Pronto, I had a great time - it was nice getting out for a bit. Didn't stay out to late - I ended up coming home early (Michael and Barry drove me home). Chelsea said that Olivia was asleep by 9:15 - she fell asleep drinking her bottle. She is funny like that. I went to bed soon after getting home and was out cold. I was tired.

Thursday, 13 March

Got up only once last night for Olivia - just had to give her the pacifier. So got up and we started the day right on schedule. I fed the animals, Kurt made the bed, I let the dogs out, Kurt got lunches together, I got Olivia up and dressed, fed, cleaned and Kurt got the cars packed up. It was a nice morning, except we did get into an argument about redoing the floors. Kurt wants to start Friday but I'd rather wait until he has a weekend off from Pronto. But we did come to a compromise - Kurt is going to work on redoing the breakfast bar (we are redoing the kitchen entirely - so he is going to start with the bar for now). Did my cardio and ab workout this morning, work was fine, at lunch I went to Costco and renewed our membership, got dog food, toilet paper, muffins, air freshener refills, 3 outfits for Olivia and granola bars. I'm still having headaches - they last all day. Darn sinuses. After work, picked up Olivia and got home, unloaded the car and then fed the animals. I was rushing because Olivia had an appointment with the dermatologist at 5:40 and it's back by my office. So got her cleaned up, her skin was pretty dry and she had an explosion in her pants. So got her ready and got her in the car, of course I was running late but luckily when I called the office they said no big deal. So, got her there and the doctor/nurses were so nice. They took some skin samples to test, they prescribed some medication and gave me a lot of helpful hints and free samples of eczema cream stuff. Olivia was a trooper, she didn't cry at all - after that, met up with Todd and Kurt for dinner at Nello's. Dinner was good but not too hungry, I had my salad but left the pita for lunch for Kurt on Friday (He has tomorrow off). So after that, got home - it was around 8:20 or so. Got Olivia all ready for bed and gave her a half bottle before bed. She finished that and then pretty much fell asleep. She was being so sweet. While I was holding her, she kept saying Da Da Da Da and then fell asleep. Kurt went out for a while to see some friends, I got everything ready for tomorrow, packed the diaper bag, made bottles, got gym bag packed, cleaned up Olivia's room, did some laundry and folded clothes then went to bed. I had caffeine at dinner so I took a couple of Sleeping pills and went to bed. The animals were all sleeping on the bed with me. They never listen when I tell them to get out of the bed. Oh well... I guess I'm the softy.

Wednesday, 12 March

I think I got up - um, about 5 times during the night. My mistake, I let Olivia fall asleep early, she didn't get her last bottle before bed and because of that, she was up several times during the night. I got up at 2, 3, 4, 4:15 and 4:30 - at that point I just stayed up. So we got up, and Olivia had her bottle and chatted up a storm. Around 5:40 - we left for Day care and I was at the gym by 6:10. Did 40 minutes of cardio and then got ready for work. Work was okay, I have had a headache all day long, it's the same sinus thing I've had for the last two weeks. At lunch time, I did a back workout - it felt good and I pushed myself. After that I left to pick up Olivia - half day today because of a doctor's appointment. Picked her up and went home for a little bit. I had to clean her up and change her then we got her to Dr. Dorsey's office for a follow up visit. She did great. Such the happy baby. We then came home and cleaned up around the house, did some laundry (Olivia was laying on the bed with me and she wet herself and it went through her diaper, through her pants onto the bed...) so cleaned that up. I then gave her a bath and did her hair. She was pretty cranky, usually she loves her bathtime but I think because she was so tired she just wanted to go to bed. Got her dried off and dressed and she was asleep before I could lay her down. After that, got her up and we all went out to dinner at Rexy's thai. We met up with Mark and John. It was really nice - had a great time. Dinner and conversations were great. After dinner, we came home and I put Olivia to bed. This time she had her night bottle and then went to bed. She slept mostly through the night so I was happy about that.

Tuesday, 11 March

Man, I must have been tired - I slept straight through the night - didn't move once. Kurt said I was talking in my sleep and I don't remember a thing. So got up, Olivia was so sweet, just smiling away when I got her up. Fed her and got her ready - she was so good. She did spit up twice but it was cute how she did it. Okay, I'm a geeky dad but I can't help it. I got to Michelle's house and I realized I forgot her bottles so I decided once the stores opened up, I would go buy some more and some formula for her. I was able to do all of that in 15 minutes. Leave work, go to Walgreens, buy 2 bottles and formula powder, get the bottles together and drop them off, see Olivia for a few minutes and then back to work within 15 minutes. It's nice being so close to her. Oh, I did do 40 minutes of cardio and read a people magazine. Work is going well, at lunch time I did do a arm workout. Saw David Crane at the gym. Then back to work. Looking forward to going home tonight, I'm exhausted - tonight we are not going to cook - going out to dinner. :) After work, got Miss Olivia and went home. I was so busy - I got everything ready for the next day - got coffee set up, did laundry, made lunches, packed gym bag, got clothes for work, packed Diaper bag, made up bottles, and got Olivia all cleaned up before Kurt got home. We then went out to dinner, it was really good. After that, went to Sears to look at new kitchen appliances. Olivia feel asleep -which was not a good thing, it through off her schedule. We got home and got her ready for bed - she went to bed early so I know I would probably be getting up a couple of times during the night.

Monday, 10 March

It's been a really nice day today. Got up and fed the animals and then got Olivia ready. Every day, I look at her sleeping and it makes me smile, it keeps me focused and it helps me get through the tough times. Anyway - got her up and fed her, changed her, got her dressed and cleaned up. She looks so sweet. Dropped her off and went to the gym, got my 30 minutes of cardio in. Work was good, busy so it flew by. Didn't have time to go to the gym at lunch so just stayed in. Finished my day and then picked up Olivia. Her skin gets so dry at the day care. I know that I probably over do it with lotion but she needs it, her skin just sucks it in. I think maybe because we have the airfilter, humidifier and her own heater in her room so that everything is regulated - that her skin looks better at home. So got her home, fed the animals then gave Olivia her snack and juice. I then spent some time on her hair and scalp then lotioned her all up and got her changed. Kurt got home, and I heated up the left over Chinese food (it was delicious), I made macaroni and cheese for Olivia and she loved it. After dinner, cleaned up a bit and got stuff packed up Tuesday. I had to pick up my prescription at CVS. Did that then came home and Olivia had an explosion in her diaper. So cleaned her up and then we chilled out for a while. The three of us played and then gave her a last bottle before putting her to bed. She fell asleep immediately - she was wiped out. So after that, got ready for bed myself - made lunches, got my work clothes ready, folded some laundry and then fell asleep. I was out - quickly and I didn't wake up til the alarm went off. It was a great night.

Sunday, 9 March

I slept pretty good, didn't get up once until about 7:30 - the animals then woke me up. They needed to go outside and get fed. So did that, made some coffee and watched a little TV. I think I watched "Bring it on" - I think I have seen that movie at least 15 times. After that, called my parents to see how Olivia was doing. She was doing great - eating breakfast when I called. Around 11:00, I woke Kurt up and he got ready. We then drove to my parents house and picked up Olivia. While in Canton, we went to Ikea and got a few things there. I got a new shelfing unit for Olivia's room, it's cool - kind of like a little cubby center. It has 8 places for bins - so I got that and 8 pink bins. We also got a few other things. After that, picked up Wendy's for lunch and headed home. I set up the cabinet thing and it's really cute - it also really cleans up the room. All of her toys are in the bins as well as all the loose items I had in there. Very organized now. So after that, gave Olivia a bath and then we fed her dinner. She was starving - she had her bottle and then had Mac and Cheese. Another explosion in the diaper :) so cleaned her up and did her hair for Monday. After that, did some laundry, the dishes, cleaned up around the house. Kurt went to see Tony and Steve off on the move to Chicago. I put Olivia down to bed and then got my stuff packed up for Monday. After that, Kurt got home and so went to bed. I had a bad headache so took some aspirin and went to sleep.

Saturday, 8 March

A nice weekend begins. Got up pretty early with Olivia, she was up around 5:30 or so. So we had breakfast and then played. She was very talkative this morning. She had so much to say to me. It was really sweet. Around 8:30 or so, she fell asleep in my arms - put her down, and I then got showered and dressed. Had some coffee and then made Olivia's bottles. She was going to Grandma and Grandpas's house. I watched a little TV and had more coffee. When Kurt got up around 11:00, I had to run to the Dollar Store. Picked up a few things and got home. Mom and Dad were just pulling up when I got home. Cindy and Butch were with them. It was great to see everyone. Kurt was showering so I made some coffee and we chatted. Kurt showed everyone the Wii and I showed Mom and Cindy Olivia's room. Mom took pictures of Olivia and for the first time, Olivia got in her Cinderella car - she loved it. She jumped around on it and rocked back and forth. It was so cute to watch her. After that, we all went out to lunch at Jimmie's in Royal Oak. I was starving - always eating now. We had lunch then Mom, Dad, Cindy and Butch left back for Lansing. We headed home, I packed up Olivia's overnight bag and got her changed. I then headed out to Mom and dad's house. Dropped off Olivia and hung for a while then headed back for home. Stopped for Tim Horton's coffee on the way home, Kurt loves Tim Horton coffee. So got us coffee then got home. Kurt was getting ready for work so I went to the Tanning Booth (spray on tan). Did that then came home and got showered, cleaned up for Pete's Dinner birthday party. Joel picked me up a little after 8:00 pm. We stopped at the ATM and then headed over to La Dolce Vita. It was really fun hanging out, Mark and John were there, Jack, Pete, Salina, Brandon, Brandon, Ron, Joe, Tom Anderson, Carrie, Jeff, Michael.... a really good group of people. Had a great time. We hung out at La Dolce for a while then went over to Pronto! got to see Kurt. He was really busy. Had a blast there too - Ty was there and a bunch of other people. Had a great night, Joel and I left around 1:00 am (time change - 2:00 am). Got home and pretty much went to bed.

Friday, 7 March

It's Friday.... It's been a really nice day today. Got up and fed the animals and then got Olivia ready. She was ready for breakfast, she was cooing and chatting away. When she saw me, I got a huge smile from her - she just lights me up inside. So we did our daily routine and she is so good about it - she drinks her bottle and I change her diaper, get her cleaned up and then dressed. She lets me do her hair without complaint. Got her to daycare and headed on to the gym. Work was okay, I was so tired and didn't have much energy. When I get like that, I tend to eat - a lot. So pretty much ate all day. At lunch, I went to Sims to look for a shirt (I had spit up on my sweater and didn't know about it so looked for something else to wear). After that, picked up a scone at Panera. Came back to work and finished my day. After work, picked up Olivia and we headed home. She was so talkative. We talked and talked, well - I said Babba, Dadda, Hi over and over again and she just baby talked the whole way home. She usually sleeps in her carseat but today - so happy and chatty. Got home and fed all the animals, I had a headache so took some aspirins and then gave Olivia her bath. She just loves her bath time, after that - got her dressed and put her hair in braids. Kurt got home after that, he chilled out for a little bit before going to work. Kurt worked all night at Pronto! - he said it was fun and made good money. So after Kurt left - I took Olivia to Target, had to get a few things- jelly beans, some hair stuff for her and a new shirt. Came home and it was time for dinner, made pasta for her - I have learned she doesn't like tomato sauce - so instead it with a little butter. After dinner, got her ready for bed and she fell asleep pretty quick. Put her to sleep and then did my cleaning. I watched a movie too - it was very nice and relaxing. I had all the animals in bed with me - they were cracking me up. I had a little tiny corner of the bed while all the animals lounged. After that - I pretty much fell asleep.

Thursday, 6 March

So during the night, Henry (the cat) must have laid on Kurt's neck - Our cats are very loving and they sleep on the bed. For the most part, they both sleep (Finnegan is the other cat) by my feet. I hardly move at night where as Kurt moves around a lot and he likes nothing near his feet. So the cats have adapted to that and like I said sleep by my feet. Well this morning, I heard Olivia on the baby monitor so I picked it up and I had moved my feet displacing the cats. Finnegan just stayed there, well Henry moved towards the head of the bed. I pet him for a while then he moved over to Kurt and was sleeping on Kurt's pillow and part of his neck. Kurt freaked out (he was sleeping and didn't know what was on his neck). So he got up quickly and in doing so elbowed me in the cheek. At the time, I felt it but nothing to bad, I'm using to getting head butted by Olivia, banged in the nose from the dogs, etc. This morning after a few hours, my cheek right below my left eye was a little sore. Still didn't give it much consideration and because I'm in such a hurry getting Olivia ready and packing up the car I never really looked in the mirror. I even brushed my teeth but didn't pay attention to it. After dropping her off and going to the gym, I got a chance to look at my cheek in the mirror. Yep, a big bruise on it. Now my mouth kind of hurts too - Oh well.. It happens, just thought it was kind of funny. As the day progressed so did the pain in my mouth - everything is very tender and it hurts to eat. So finished the day and picked up Olivia. So cute. Got home and cleaned up for a while and fed Olivia a snack. She then went down for her nap and by then Kurt got home. The cats had knocked over a plant and a animal got in the garbage that Kurt left on the back porch. So had some extra cleaning to do. I then got Olivia up and cleaned up. Joel came over and then we all went out to Anita's Kitchen. It just opened in Ferndale, it's really good. Had a great meal and everyone there was coming over to tell us how cute Olivia is. I know, right. :) After dinner, picked up some milk at 7 Eleven and some ice cream for a treat. Got home and got Miss Olivia in her PJ's and then fed her a bottle. She fell asleep in my arms. So sweet. After that, got ready for Friday and off to bed. My mouth still hurts. Ugh.

Wednesday, 5 March

So the snow came down and it came down heavy. I opened the door and I actually had to push the door open hard because the snow was highter than the door. We got about 7 or so inches of snow. So no gym this morning, instead - shoveling. I started shoveling and I got the porch done and all the brick paver area. Then got out the snowblower and it took about an hour and 15 minutes or so. Kurt made lunches and coffe so it was nice to come inside to something warm. Olivia was still sleeping so jumped in the shower and got ready for work. Then got Olivia's bottle heated up and fed her breakfast. Got her cleaned up and dressed for day care and headed out the door. Olivia was getting really big pimples on her scalp from the stuff I was using for her cradle cap (it was blocking the pores) so I stopped using that and instead using baby oil so hopefully that helps. Dropped her off and got to work, I made good timing considering it expressway was down to two lanes. Work was good, went by fast. At lunch, went to the gym and did my cardio - got through that fine. I had to leave at 3:30 today to pick up Olivia and take her to the doctors. I set up the appointment because Olivia has had this congested cough really since I met her and it was bothering me. Also, I wanted the doctor to look at her ankle and skin. Got to the doctors office and everything went fine. They prescribed her some antibiotics and gave me suggestions for his skin. Her ankle was fine, he said she probably rolled it and within a few days she will be fine. She was already getting better and starting to put pressure on it again. We went to CVS on the way home to get her prescription. The pharmacist is so nice, she remembered Olivia and even her name. Picked up some shampoo and cradle cap lotion for Olivia and a few other things. Got home, Kurt had heated up the left overs for dinner and made Olivia macaroni and cheese. I have to say - he is doing so much better with Olivia. He is even spending more time with her and playing with her. So got home, fed Olivia and then gave her a bath. Washed her hair with the special shampoo and used the cradle cap lotion, it works great. It really keeps the scalp moisturized. After that, played with Olivia for a while - she is learning so much everyday. Then Kurt played with her for a while so I could do some laundry, the dishes, vacuum Olivia's room and the living room, make the bottles for tomorrow, pack up her diaper bag for daycare, get my gym clothes packed and dress clothes out for work. I was able to get all that done pretty quick - so after that, it was time for Olivia to start getting ready for bed. I got her bottle ready and fed her then rocked her for a bit. She was pretty tired and went to bed pretty quick. After that, I read the baby book for a bit, added some new music to my ipod and then went to bed.

Tuesday, 4 March

Today was a much better day than yesterday. Got up, fed the animals and then got dressed for the gym. After that, got Olivia up, cleaned up and dressed to go. She is so darn cute. Dropped her off then went to the gym. After that, got to work. It was a good day, busy so it went by fast. At lunch time, I had to get a new phone.... I think I mentioned this yesterday, Olivia thought it was a bath toy - :) So got a new phone then back to work. Finished the day, picked up Olivia and headed home. She was chit chatting away, her foot is a little tender still but better than yesterday. We got home and fed the animals, put dinner in the oven, gave Olivia a snack. After that, she went down for a nap, she was exhausted - she played all day. During that time, did some laundry and got my stuff packed for tomorrow. Kurt got home and we ate dinner. Got Olivia bathed and dressed in her pajamas. We played then Kurt and her played. They were very cute together. Around 8:30, I gave her a last bottle and rocked her to sleep, she fell asleep pretty quickly and was out for the rest of the night. She did get up one time but that just because of her pacifier.

Monday, 3 March

My schedule is getting to be a bit much, a little overwhelming at times. My general schedule is:
4:45 AM Get up, fed the dogs & cats
4:50 AM Let the dogs out, make coffee
4:55 AM Change into gym clothes
5:00 AM Brush teeth, wash face, throw on hat
5:03 AM Warm up bottle for Olivia, let dogs back in, get cup of coffee
5:05 AM Put away Dishes from Dishwasher (Yes, a load of dishes everyday)
5:10 AM Put gym bag and clothes for work in the car
5:12 AM Wake up Olivia, give her bottle, change her, clean her up, get her dressed for the day, comb her hair, lather her down with lotion
5:32 AM Get Olivia in car seat, pack up diaper bag for day, tidy up her room.
5:40 AM Get Olivia loaded up in car and head out to Day Care.
6:00 AM Drop off Olivia at Day Care
6:10 AM Get to gym and do 40 Minutes of Cardio
7:00 AM Get to work and start day
11:00 AM At lunch, go to gym and do workout
4:00 PM Finish at work and head out to pick up Olivia
4:10 PM Get Olivia from Day Care and head home
4:40 PM Get home, unload Olivia, Diaper Bag, Gym Bag from car
4:45 PM Fed the animals dinner
4:50 PM Change Olivia and play with her for a while
5:10 PM Olivia goes down for a nap, so clean house will she does that
5:30 PM Kurt gets home, I make dinner (for the most part)
6:00 PM I get Olivia up, we eat dinner, feed Olivia
6:30 PM Clean up after dinner and load up dishwasher
6:45 PM Make up bottles for next day
6:55 PM Pack up Gym bag and get clothes out for next day
7:15 PM Give Olivia her bath
7:40 PM Get Olivia dried, do her hair and lotioned up, then put her in pajamas.
8:00 PM Play with Olivia for a while, get her a last bottle and change her before putting her down to bed.
8:30 PM Set up coffee for next day, get lunches ready for next day
8:45 PM Do load of laundry/fold clothes
9:00 PM Get ready for bed
9:30 PM Watch a little TV, Chat with Kurt

Up at least once a night with Olivia.
I know that millions of people go through this everyday - it's just real tiring at times and I'm feeling the stress of it plus the lack of sleep is starting to take it's toll on me. Kurt got the brunt of my frustration yesterday because the pasta wasn't the right kind for Olivia. Ugh, I feel like I'm losing it. So apologies to Kurt for that. Sorry babe.

Sunday, 2 March

Today was a good day. I still feel sick but I took some Night Time Advil for Sinus and it helped me sleep. Olivia slept through the night. So got up and made coffee, fed the animals then gave Olivia her breakfast. I did have some cereal as well. After that, Kurt got up - so got Olivia cleaned up and dressed and went to Barnes & Noble. I got a book on Child Development and Kurt got a book for Tahya. After that, we met up with Kerrin for lunch. We had Monterray's - I love that place. Got Barbecue Chicken Nachos. We ate and talked - it was fun. After that, went home and changed Olivia - She had an explosion and it got everywhere... such a mess. ;) But dealt with it. After that, went to Kinko's to print out a few things then came home. I rented some movies earlier so we decided to watch a movie and chill out. Kerrin came over and he watched the movie too. Movie was "Own the Night" - it was good. So played with Olivia and then fed her, she fell asleep in my arms. Kurt went to CVS to get a few things and picked up ice cream too. So had a little ice cream and got ready for tomorrow. I ended up falling asleep by 9:30 and I slept great.

Saturday, 1 March

It's Saturday, so got up around 6:00 am and changed Olivia then gave her a bottle, she pretty much drank the bottle and then fell back to sleep. So after that, I did some laundry and had some paperwork to do. Around 8:30, I made bacon & eggs + toast for breakfast. Kurt got up by then. Olivia was up shortly after that, so fed her some bananas and juice she also had toast for the first time. When breakfast was done, I gave her a bath and got her dressed. She did not want to get her hair done, so her little braids did not look so good. After that, got cleaned up and all three of us headed out to run a few errands. We went and visited Michellle at Time for Tots then we got some lunch at Chipolte. After lunch, went to Target - I wanted to get a toy for Olivia (it was from the Learning Center - it lights up and plays music, there are blocks to it, a little phone that beeps, a mirror like area) Olivia loved it. We met some people at Target that said they would send us some information on a group of people that have adopted in the area. So that was cool. After that, came home and I put Olivia down for a nap. Kurt got ready for work and I did some laundry. Olivia and I hung out for the evening, she was a little cranky - I think from teething and she just wanted me to hold her or be right by her. For dinner, she had macaroni and cheese and she loved it. I also let her have a little bit of a popsicle (sugar free). After that, she fell asleep so I put her to bed then I cleaned up. Around midnight or so, I went to bed.... I was tired, I took a sinus pill as well. Slept pretty good.
