Tuesday, 30 June

Rainy and cold day. Went from super hot to on the cool side. I don't mind though. Picked up Olivia from daycare. Had to run a few errands so did that. Rented Olivia a movie - Sesame Street - Green Elmo or something like that. Came home, got her a snack and she watched about 20 minutes of the movie. I ate like a pig - had a half bag of doritos and 1/2 container of sour cream. I feel gross. End up doing a third workout to make up for it. Made Olivia dinner, we played for a while, it was a pretty low key evening. After putting Olivia to bed and doing my cardio workout - I watched some TV. Boring, I know.

Monday, 29 June

It was a pretty decent day - got up and did my cardio workout, felt good - did 40 minutes on the elliptical got showered and ready for work. Woke Olivia up and she wanted to sleep... did not want to get up. After getting her ready - we headed out. Had to stop at the bank on the way to daycare. Work, good - waiting to find out more about the bankruptcy. Work was really quiet. At lunch, got a really good ab workout in. Finished my day and headed home. We got take out for dinner, I had made some low fat brownies for dessert. Really good. We ate dinner, hung out with Olivia and then watched The Closer.

Sunday, 28 June

Olivia and I had a fantastic day.... After she got home from Aunt Chelsea's - I got her cleaned up and we headed out to the zoo. We had a great time, well - at least I did. She fell asleep about 1/2 hour into it. She did stay awake for the Dinosaur exhibit. She liked that a lot - loud noises and things moved. Soon after that, she fell asleep - so I walked around for another 1 1/2 hours and then headed back. She got a nice bucket cap - she likes hats for some reason. After that, got her home and put her to bed. Kurt was up by then and had grilled us some turkey burgers. So we ate lunch and relaxed until Olivia got up. We then went to Lowes. I got some more dirt for the back and returned some plants I got. Came home and we all worked outside, Olivia was in charge of watering everything. After that, Olivia played on the slide and we just hung out with her for a bit. Gave her a bath and got her to bed. I had to cleaned the carpet downstairs... bad Riley had made a mess, so I did that then did a little ironing and that was about it for the night.

Saturday, 27 June

I don't even know how to respond to the picture..... It was the "Summer Party" at Pronto on Saturday - Brett and Kurt got dressed up as "Pin up Girls"... funny and scary. Saturday was a fun day. Got up early with Olivia. She usually sleeps in a little later than this but she wanted to get up around 6:00 am. So we got up, fed the animals, got Olivia cleaned up and dressed. Fed her some cereal and then I had to leave for my haircut appointment. After getting back, Kurt, Olivia and I went to Bordines Nursery. Got a few more plants for the pond and some flowering plants for the back yard. They look great. Chelsea picked up Olivia around 5:00 pm, she was spending the night. So I got a cardio workout in then got showered and dressed. I went up to Pronto for a bit, had fun - wasn't out too late. Came home and fell asleep.

Friday, 26 June

HAPPY FRIDAY..... SO today was a big day for Olivia. After work, I took her to the mall to get her ears pierced. I know some people think it's a bad idea but I checked with other parents and her pediatrician and was told that it was fine. It didn't hurt her, no crying or tears at all when she got it done. I don't think she even noticed it. She likes to look in the mirror at them. We had a good evening, did the ear piercing thing, then got some dinner, came home and she played on her playscape for a bit. She has started doing somer saults all by herself and she did that about 15 times. Gave her a bath and then got her ready for bed. I think she was up until 9:30 or so. After that, I did a cardio workout and watched an old episode of Harper's Island.

Thursday, 25 June

It's a truly sad day.... We lost 2 bigger than life people - Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson was my idol growing up. His amazing music and awesome dance moves. I have so many fond memories of him, sitting with my family as we all anticipated watching the video "Thriller". It was such a great moment in time. I also remember trying to learn the dance moves from "Beat It" and memorizing all the lyrics to Billie Jean. He will truly be missed for all his contributions. The very first gift I got for Kurt was the Best of Michael Jackson compilation, almost 10 years ago now... As for Farrah, I will always remember her in the red bathing suit she wore in the infamous poster I had in my bedroom. I watched every episode of Charlie's Angels. Again, a very sad day... I feel like I lost a big part of my childhood.

Wednesday, 24 June

Another scorcher of a day. On the way home, the car registered that it was 94' F outside. So hot. Came home, unloaded the stuff I got at the store (diapers, wet wipes, step stool for Olivia - to use the potty). Only a few things costs so much. Changed into short and finsished up the laundry I started in the morning. Then went outside, watered the plants in back and then finally finished trimming the roof tiles on the new deck canopy. It was so outside... and being on the roof made it even hotter. I cleaned out the gutters while I was on the roof. We then (all three of us) went swimming in Olivia's pool. Felt very refreshing. After that, had some dinner (Kurt cooked an awesome meal). Dropped off some luggage at Mike and Dan's house (they are leaving for NYC on Thursday).. So jealous. Then came home, got Olivia ready for bed and then we watched some tv before falling asleep. Really nice day.

Tuesday, 23 June

It was a super hot day out today. It reached over 90. I picked up Olivia from daycare, we got home and I immediately changed her into her bathing suit. She played in the pool for about 1/2 hour and then we came inside to eat. Made some spaghetti for her. After dinner, I got her cleaned up and into pajamas. We then played for about an hour, read books, played with her microphone and then danced around for a bit. She loves to dance. After that, got her in bed. I had accidently washed some chapstick in the laundry so I spent about an hour cleaning up as much as I could from a load of laundry. Got most of it out... so that was good. After that, hung out with Riley and Mocha and then watched Real Housewives of New Jersey then fell asleep.

Monday, 22 June

Back to work.... I'm hoping for a fast week. Kurt was off today, so we had a really nice evening. I took Kurt out to dinner (I'm so nice :) We visited with Chelsea, haven't seen her for a while so it was great to catch up. She just loves Olivia - so for the most part she was entertaining her. After dinner, we came home and I had some stuff to do around the house so I did that while Kurt took Olivia to Lowes. They came home and we relaxed for a bit before I had to get Olivia ready for bed. That was pretty much it for the night.

Sunday, 21 June

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!! This is the first father's day that all my brothers are Fathers.... We all have little girls too + plus Hudson of course. Had the perfect father's day. Got up - fed the animals, then got Olivia up and made her breakfast. It was a beautiful day and warm early on. Olivia went swimming for a while, Kurt got up then. Made him some breakfast then we all got cleaned up and headed over to my parents house. We stopped at Home Goods on the way. Kurt is looking for closet organizer stuff. So we stopped there and shopped for a bit. Visited with my grandma, aunt, her two grand daughters and the folks. Had a nice afternoon. We then came home and relaxed for a bit. I got us some chinese food from our favorite place. It was just a really nice day.

Saturday, 20 June

It was a really perfect day. Weather was nice - the rain stopped and the sun came out. Olivia and I got up and headed to McDonald's for breakfast. They had a huge playland there - and parents could play with their kids in it. So Olivia and I played for a good 45 minutes (after breakfast). She had so much fun, my knees were killing me. She climbed all the way to the top (it was at least 15 feet high). It had a huge circular slide at the end, she loved that part the most. After breakfast, we dropped some stuff off at goodwill. Went to the bank and walked around town. After that, came home and Kurt was up by then. We finished cleaning up the laundry room - I made some lunch for us (pasta). I then got Olivia's pool out and filled it up. She swam for a good hour +. While she did that, I finally cleaned out my car. It was such a mess, scrubed the inside all down.... clean clean clean car. We lost power a couple of times during the day (I think they were brown outs). So we thought it was only 3 pm when it was actuallly 6 pm. So we got some Subway, ate dinner, fed the dogs and then Kurt had to go to work. The rest of the evening, I watched a movie and hung out with Olivia. She got a new dress from Steve (From Pronto) she loves it - she kept twirling around. Watched the show Harper's Island.. it was really good.

Friday, 19 June

Happy Friday! Came home from work to a really nice surprise. Kurt put in a closet organizer in the laundry room. It's all nice and organized now. We got rid of a bunch of stuff - just clutter and garbage. Spent the evening with Olivia - it was really nice. It stormed outside, so we hung out, played with her blocks and watched a movie.

Thursday, 18 June

After work, came home and cut the grass - front and back. Storms are coming, wanted to get the lawn done before then. I then got cleaned up, Olivia and I met up with Marleen to talk about some of the recent changes of the Corner Store. We then walked around town for a bit, most of the stores were closed but it was nice just walking around. After that, had a really nice time at dinner with Dawn. Great seeing her and catching up. Got to see Jen and Kandy as well. They were so sweet with Olivia. Really fun evening. Thanks Dawn!. After dinner, came home and gave Olivia her bath. She kept trying to get out of the tub, she thought that was fun. I ended up getting soaked. Got her ready for bed then cleaned up around the house.

Wednesday, 17 June

I got a lot accomplished today - so it was a really good day. Cleaned out Olivia's closet - got two huge garbage bags full of clothes to donate. Cleaned out the little dresser in her closet, finally got it organized. Took a bunch of her old toys to the garage. Fixed the bathroom sink, cleaned up the kitchen, just lots of little things. Poor Olivia - she is into "Hopping" around. She hops and say - I'm bunny. It's very cute but she tends to loose her balance. She was hopping along and ended up crashing into her dresser. Got a little cut below her eye. I felt so bad. She was fine within a few minutes - but it scared the heck out of me. So for a while afterwards, she just wanted to be held... basically until I put her to bed. After putting her down, I cleaned up for a bit longer and then paid bills.

Tuesday, 16 June

Seriously.... how cute is Olivia. The headband was made by my old room mate Laura. Olivia loves it. Anyway - Got up and did my Leg Workout, hate hate hated it. My legs are so sore and it's only the first day. We had Mike and Dan over for dinner - we grilled some turkey burgers. Kurt did all the cooking so I was completely happy. We had potato salad, cucumber salad, burgers, a fancy tossed salad with goat cheese, walnuts and dried cherries. Everything was so good. I had made chocolate chip cookies so that was for dessert. Olivia went swimming earlier and then by the time we were done with dinner - it was time for her to go to bed. Seriously, again - how cute is she. We hung out for a bit then I cleaned up. Kurt met up with Paul and Chris at Pronto. I finished cleaning and went to bed.

Monday, 15 June

Another Monday. Got up, feeling pretty good - tired.... Kurt snoring, dogs barking at night, Olivia woke up during the middle of the night - not much sleep for me. Got up and did a really good workout - it was Chest workout and I'm sore from it, did a good cardio at lunch. After work, came home - got changed and started grilling. Olivia played in her pool, she just loves to swim and it's been perfect weather for it. We have a slide going into the pool and she had probably slid down it about 30 times into the pool. For dinner, it was barbecue chicken breast, corn, cucumber salad and some pasta salad. It was really good. Ate dinner then we got Olivia cleaned up. She is such a happy girl - but she has started saying the dreaded "nooooooo". Let get out of the pool - "nooooooo", time for your bath - "noooooo", time for your pajamas - "nooooo"... Funny at first but then not so much. Got her ready for bed, read a story to her and put her down for the night. I did my ab workout and then we watched a little tv before bed.

It's Friday..... I was going to go to Canton, visit with my parents and hang out with a friend to watch the Red Wings play but instead - I took Olivia to McDonalds and she played in the play land for over an hour. She was having so much fun, I didn't want to make her leave. She climbed all the way to the top of the play land and slide down the big slide. She followed the other little kids around. She had a blast and I was happy to see her having so much fun. Such a great little girl. After leaving there, we came home and took a walk around the block - she was tuckered out and fell asleep in my arms about half way during the walk. SO funny. I had a bunch of stuff to do so put her to bed and did my stuff.

Thursday, 11 June

It was a very nice uneventful day. Got up - did my thing. I've been really busy at work - not complaining just very busy days. Olivia and I had a really nice evening. We walked to the park, played on the slide and swing for about an hour. She walked all the way there and back without wanting to be picked up. Did a few things around the house and called it a day.

Wednesday, 10 June

Busy day, work was busy, got home and was really busy all night. I fixed the leak coming from the laundry tub, ended up having to go to Ace hardward 3 times to get the right stuff but fixed the leak. Much happier now.... Olivia was really good for the most part, except for everytime I was under the tub hooking up the new pipes, she would jump on me. It was funny the first 5 or 6 times then I was a little irritated. She is such a good girl though so it's hard being mad at her for very long. So after that, we played blocks and practiced the alphabet. I made her pizza for dinner and she loved it. Ate it all up. After dinner, bath time and then time for bed.

Tuesday, 9 June

This picture just makes me smile. After work, I picked up some chicken for grilling and made dinner. It was really good, chicken kebobs, potato salad, cole slaw, corn on the cob.... just really good food. I ate way too much though. After dinner, took Olivia outside to play, fed the fish, gave her a bath, then got her ready for bed. We watched part of the game last night and had some ice cream... it was so good but I feel gross now.

Monday, 8 June

I was so feeling it this morning, I had a horrible hang over. I got up and did my cardio - I had no energy at all but pushed through. Work - good. Got a weird letter in the mail regarding being "Recently Unemployed" from the city of Southfield - so I was a little freaked out. Found out the letter went to everyone by mistake. Big weight off my shoulders. At lunch, I ended up coming home and selling the Big Outdoor Playhouse. Olivia didn't really like it so selling everything but the big Playscape. Finished my day and then headed home. It was so good seeing Olivia, I missed her so much. So got big hugs and kisses. Made dinner, grilled pineapple chicken and steamed vegetables. Took Olivia to the park, she went on the big slide all by herself about 20 times. She walked the whole way too. We practiced the alphabet on the way there and back. Came home, gave her a bath then got her ready for bed. Read a story to her and put her down. Finished putting away the laundry, put away the dishes and then did another cardio workout.

Sunday, 7 June

I was so tired, slept in til after 10 am.... I can't remember when I have ever done that before. I fed the animals before I went to bed - so I could sleep in and it worked. Got up around 10 am and went to the grocery store. Got a bunch of vegetables, milk and juice. I made a vegetable platter to take to Mark and John's house. So we headed out and went to Mark and John's at 1:00 pm. It was a lot of fun, had a great time - drank lots and lots of sangria. A little too much. Around 2:30, we all walked down to Ferndale for the Motor City Pride Festival. We pretty much immediately walked to the Beer Tent and drank quite a few beers. We each got a pitcher and drank it all. Saw so many people I haven't seen in a while, Frank, John, Richard, Joe, Wayne, Justin, Ian, Sean and Chris (and their adorable twins), people from camp, people from work...... lots of people. Too many to list. It was so much fun. We then walked over to Nine. Ran into Joe and Jason and Todd there. It was good seeing them. Joe and Jason are making a big move to San Francisco soon, congrats to them. Beautiful area. Just a really great day. We hung out there for a couple of hours until Pride was over. I met so many nice people, Will and David were a super nice couple that I really enjoyed meeting and talking with. Kurt is Mr. Popular, seems to know everyone. While Pride was coming to a close - decided to walk down 9 mile one more time and checked out the booths. Kurt, Paul and I then went to Pronto for dinner... we had been drinking all day and no food. So ate dinner, hung out there for a bit then it was time to end the day.

Saturday, 6 June

Got up, fed the animals, got Olivia up and dressed. Cleaned the rest of the outdoor toys really well. By then, Kurt was up so we got ready and met his parents at the Outlet Mall. Had a really nice lunch and then did some shopping up there. Olivia was spending the weekend with Grandma and Grandpa... Headed home, relaxed for a bit before Kurt had to go into work. I spent some time doing laundry and cleaning then got ready to go out. I headed over to Mike and Dan's house and then followed them to Kerrin's house. I had a great time - hung out with Sabrina, Nikki, Arty, Mark, John, Joel, Mike, Dan, Erica, Becca and Kerrin. Lots of fun. We then went up to Pronto. I had a blast...it's been a long time since I stayed out late. Was out to about 1:30 or so. Dropped of Mike and then went home. I was exhausted. Really fun day.

Friday, 5 June

Seriously, is she not too cute. I had to move Kurt's car before going to work and this is how I was greeted. She is such a sweet little girl and every day I feel blessed with her presence. She just makes me so happy. Got through the day, came home and had a great un-eventful evening. Olivia is staying with Kurt's parents this weekend so I decided to stay in and have a really fun evening with Olivia. We went to the park, played with the soccer ball, played on the slides, ran around, hide and go seek, came home - she got her bath then she picked 5 books to read. So read until she fell asleep. She did have hot dogs for dinner, she was hungry. Rest of the evening was spent packing her bag for the weekend, cleaned up the downstairs, that's about it. Fell asleep around 11:00 pm.

Thursday, 4 June

Great morning, got up - had energy, did cardio, got a lot accomplished before work. Got Olivia off to daycare - forgot her diaper bag so went to KMart and bought all new stuff. Smart. Got to work and was busy all day long. At lunch, got a really good shoulder and cardio workout in. Gained too much weight during the trip, trying to get back on schedule. After work, came home and got changed. I had to clean up the playground equipment so did that and while Olivia went up and down the slide about 400 times. She had fun. Had dinner, gave her a bath and then practiced the alphabet for about 1/2 hour before reading to her before bed. It was a really nice night. Olivia is a doll.

Wednesday, 3 June

Really tired this morning, couldn't fall asleep - so stayed up till about midnight then got up around 3 and 4 in the morning. Pushed myself to workout, it was rough. Got to work, it was a fine day - no complaints. After work, picked up Olivia at my mom's house. Olivia was ready to go - she had a good time but was ready for home. We got her a Playground set. It's really nice and I'm sure she will love it. I got her home and fed her, gave her a bath and she pretty much was ready for bed. Playing with her cousins all day wore her out. Cleaned up a bit and did some paper work before going to bed.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KURT!!! Kurt turns 37 today. Got up and did my cardio, did some laundry, got showered and dressed for work then dropped off Olivia at Daycare. Day went really well, fast - lots to do. Kurt dropped off Olivia with my parents so we could go out and celebrate his birthday. After work, came home got changed and I took Kurt out to dinner at Rexy's Thai Restaurant. Food was great, love that place. After that, came home - had some cake (that I baked myself, I put 37 candles on it and it was pretty much an inferno). We then went out to Pronto for a couple of drinks and celebrate. It was a really fun evening. Had a great time. I got Kurt the mac i-touch. He loves it - it was a good gift for him, mr. techy. We left Pronto around 10:30/11:00ish, Kurt was a little overserved. :)

Monday, 1 June

This is a picture of Olivia from this morning, she was waiting for me at the door while I loaded up the car. Too cute. The day was decent. Busy. Did 1/2 hour on the elliptical this morning, then did another 1/2 hour on the Climb Master plus a shoulder workout at lunch. Sore. Picked up Olivia, she was having so much fun at daycare that she did not want to leave. They were playing Wrestling match there. She wanted to stay. So got her home and we stopped at the grocery store. I made a really good dinner. I then baked a cake for Kurt's birthday. I blew up 37 balloons and decorated the house (He was working and wouldn't get home till 3 am on his birthday). So did that, Olivia was trying to help blow up the balloons. Just funny watching her. We played for a bit then got her ready for bed. She fell asleep while I was reading her a book. After that, cleaned up and got stuff ready for Tuesday and that was it for me.
