Last day of April, this year is flying by. I have a giant calendar at my desk and each row has 4 months on it. We are going to be starting the second row tomorrow, happy about that, it's my favorite months. May - August. I know it's been a little cold the last couple of days but that's April for you. Today was a good day, I had lots to do. Morning ritural, busy, workout good, work day was good and busy, lunch time workout was good. So after work, I picked up Olivia and she had a bad day of scratching. Poor thing, she is itchy and she scratched her neck and arms up bad. :( So got her home, changed her and then greased her up pretty good with vaseline and Eucherin. We then played, it's my favorite time - just one on one time with her and she is so talkative after day care. So played and chatted with her then cleaned up a bit, got some stuff ready for Thursday - by then Kurt got home. We made plans with Michael and Dan to go out to dinner. We went to Pronto, it was good, I wasn't that hungry - so didn't eat much. We then went out for ice cream, only had maybe half of that. Got home and it was time to get Olivia ready for bed - so got her in her pajamas and fed her a bottle. She is so sweet. After that, got some work done around the house and then pretty much went to bed. I did play "Grand Theft Auto 4" for a bit, it's addictive.

Tuesday, 29 April

Today was a fun day. Got up and did my daily stuff - got Olivia to daycare on time. Day was really nice, gym was good then the day ended up flying by. Real busy at work. At lunch time I got the new video game Grand Theft Auto, the new Madonna CD and the cheat book for Grand Theft Auto. After work, got home with Olivia and we played for a bit then she went down for a short nap. I did the dishes, fed the animals, did the laundry and then tried to play the game but it was a bad disc so later in the evening I returned it for a new one. I also baked the Amish Friendship bread that mom gave us, it was really good. I made two loafs and we ate almost 1/2 of one loaf. Yummy. So after getting home from the store, I played the game for a bit then fed Olivia and got her ready for bed. She is such a doll. After putting her to bed, I played the game for another 1/2 hour then went up to bed. I have so much to do tomorrow... ugh - Lots of clothes to put away, cleaning, no breaks for me tomorrow.

Monday, 28 April

Got up, too early. Tired but luckily I got a lot prepped up last night for today. So fed the animals, got cleaned up, got Olivia up and changed and was out the door. Did my cardio at the gym then got to work. My day flew by - didn't even look at the clock until it was time to leave for lunch. Got a good shoulder workout in. After work got home and started working around the house, I wanted to get as much done so that this evening I could relax. Olivia took a nap around 5:30 for about an hour, she was tired. Got her up and fed her, Kurt made dinner from the left overs, it was good. After that, we went to Costco and got dog food, diapers, turkey burgers, and some snacks for our offices. (Healthy snacks). Came home after that, got Olivia ready for bed then fed her a bottle. She was so cute, she is now waving a lot - mostly at herself in the mirror. So put her down to bed and then got ready for bed myself. It was a fast day, didn't get much time to relax but it was still a nice evening.

Sunday, 27 April

Good Morning. Got up around 7:30, fed the dogs/cats then showered. My mom dropped Olivia off at 8:30. Chatted with my mom for a bit and then she left. Olivia had a really bad rash on her neck and legs, so I put a bunch of lotion on her and gave her some infant benadryll. We then went to the grocery store and bought stuff for the barbecue. We got home, unpacked the groceries and I then made the best breakfast. Wingless Buffallo chicken omlettes. It was so good, I used fat free blue cheese, chicken, hot sauce and eggs - so good. We had just that, no bread so lots of protein and very few carbs. I then started working on prepping for the barbecue. I got the pasta salad made, cut up cheese, made the dips, prepped up for the burgers/chicken, cut up tomatoes, lettuce, etc. I then cut the front yard, edged, trimmed, got out the sprinkler. Watered for a bit. After that, it was just about time for people to come over - so got the appetizers out and then the barbecue started. Kerrin, Mark, John, Mike, Dan and Jon all arrived. It was a blast, we had a great time. Food was great, conversations were fun - it was a really good time. We hung out till about 7:30 or so, I then took Olivia inside and got her bathed and ready for bed. I then for the next hour got stuff ready for Monday and was in bed and asleep by 9:00 pm. So tired - such a great weekend.

Saturday, 26 April

I guess I was walking and talking in my sleep last night - something about Dry Cleaning. That's what Kurt told me, I find it hard to believe I would do that but I have been really really really tired lately. So got up around 6:30 because the dogs/cats were driving me crazy and wanting to be fed. Got them fed and then Olivia woke up, darn Dogs are so loud - well there tails wagging against the walls/doors. So fed her and then got her changed. We had a really nice morning together, she was practicing her walking. We then went to the store - got a bunch of stuff for the Barbecue, paper plates, cups, luau dishes, etc. Had a good time with that, we then picked up some coffee from Tim Horton's for Kurt and went home. I got showered and then we all went outside and worked in the yard. I cut the grass in the backyard, got the rest of the patio furniture out, edged and trimmed the backyard, pulled some weeds and trimmed back the dead growth. It was almost three so I then took Olivia over to my parent's house, she was spending the night there. Hung out with my folks for a bit then came back home. By the time I got home, Kurt was getting ready for work. So I started cleaning up the house, vacuuming, dusting, etc and cleaning up the kitchen from what Kurt had been working on. I took a little nap then got dressed to go out. Picked up Michael and Dan and we went to Pronto to see Kurt. Had a really nice evening, saw Kurt, Don, Joel, Mark & John, Ty, Barry. It's nice going out when you haven't been out in a while. Didn't stay out to late, I think I was home by 12:15. It was a real fun evening but my back was sore (from working on the yard). Got home and went to bed.

Friday, 25 April

It's Friday. I'm really glad that it's the weekend again. So overslept this morning by over an hour, didn't have time to go to the gym but did get Olivia to daycare and got to work before 7. Work going well - lots to do. At lunch time, I planned on going to the gym but ended up going to the mall and walked around. Didn't buy anything, well - except a chocolate covered rice krispy treat. I know bad but to make up for not working out - I had a sweet. After lunch, finished my day not much to tell about that... just worked until 4. Picked up Olivia and we headed home, she was tired so put her down for a nap. During that time, I did some laundry and worked on the yard. It was suppose to rain during the week several times but never did and I had put down fertilizer - so now the yard was looking burnt. The sprinklers haven't been turned on yet so I used a regular sprinkler. Kurt got home and had to leave right away for Pronto! Olivia got up around 5:45 Got her changed, dressed and we met up with some friends for dinner. We went to Nello's. Olivia was hungry, she ate apple sauce, a jar of food, juice bottle, she had some chicken, and some apple jacks. So funny, there was a little boy in the booth by us and she stared at him during most of dinner. It was cute to see her just focusing on the little boy and smiling. They waved back and forth to each other. After dinner, came home and got Olivia ready for bed. We played for a while and then fed her a bottle before putting her down to sleep. I had no energy to really do anything so I just watched TV for a couple of hours then went to bed.

Thursday, 24 April

So the day started out okay but got a little crazy after work. Got up like usual - but really trying to get as much stuff prepped and ready to go for when I wake up the following day. So had the pet's food all ready to go for the morning, had coffee ready to go, lunches were already made and packed, diaper bag all set to go, gym bag and clothes in the car - I was set. All I had to do was get Olivia up, cleaned up, changed and dressed, fed and pretty much that was it. Well of course with the extra time, I decided to fold clothes, vacuum and the million other things I have to do each day. SO even though I was ahead of schedule I ended up dropping Olivia off late to day care. Got to the gym and did cardio, got to work and started the day. So from the lack of energy and lack of motivation, I've started gaining weight. I'm feeling crappy but the worst is I'm always tired. I feel like I'm getting enough sleep, maybe not - starting a new diet on Monday. Going to cut out lots of carbs and drink more water. Anyway, so day was good - busy. Work has been busy, a little monotonous. At lunch went to the Health Food Store and got some creams for Olivia then went to the gym. After that finished the day then picked up Olivia. So then it got crazy. Got home, had 20 minutes to get Olivia changed, feed the dogs/cats, then get both dogs and Olivia in the car and get to the Vet. That was such a mess, both dogs are crazy, Olivia was screaming, got to the Vet and got Olivia in her stroller, both dogs out of the car and got inside. There were several dogs in the clinic and Mocha started going crazy, wimpering, pulling on the leash, Ugh - I was not happy. Not sure why Mocha goes stupid when other dogs are around. We came there just for upated shots - ended up being there for almost 2 hours. SO frustrating, we finally got done, went through the back of the clinic to get to the car. My car is now completely covered in hair (I just cleaned it out), Oh - I didn't mention that Olivia spilled an entire juice sippy cup all over herself and the car. Riley was taking all the snacks from Olivia and eating them, dog drool everywhere. Ugh. SO got home and Kurt was grilling for dinner. Yum. It was delicious, so happy to eat. We ate dinner then I got everything prepped up for Friday. Olivia ate her dinner and then I gave her a bath, she loves playing in the water. We watched a little TV and I rocked her to sleep. Went to bed not too much later, slept good until the cats woke me up at 3:30 - put them in the bathroom and went back to bed. Unfortunately I overslept and got up over an hour late. Yikes.

Wednesday, 23 April

Mid Week, This week is going by fast. Well, I guess because I did have a day does make it go by faster. Got up today and felt pretty good, Olivia was tired and did not want to get up. Eventually she came around and was awake, little cranky but okay. Dropped her off at Day Care and got to the gym. Did the cardio thing then off to work. Work was okay, playing catch up and working on editing a bunch of reports. At lunch time, did an arm workout. I'm sore now but needed to do that. Picked up Olivia right after work and stopped at Home Depot. Picked up a few plants/flowers and a few other things. Came home, fed the animals and then Olivia and I worked outside in the yard. Olivia played in her walker - I put water in the front tray and she splashed in it for a while - she liked that. I planted 10 plants/flowers by the front fountain. It looks nice, I like it a lot. Kurt got home and worked on the big fountain, it's working again. I went inside and cooked dinner. Olivia was soaking wet from playing in the water so Kurt changed her while I finished making dinner. We ate and then Kurt had to go to a meeting at Pronto so I took the dogs for a walk with Olivia. They were doing great until we started to run and the leashes got caught in the running stroller and one of the wheels popped off. Luckily I could still get home okay, we were on the way back and only a block from home so luckily we were not too far away. Got home, got Olivia ready for bed and then got stuff all set for Thursday. Kurt got home and brought us a treat from Pronto (Rice Krispy treats) Yum. I was tired and fell asleep quickly. Kurt was funny, talking in his sleep - he thought the cat was Olivia. Long story - just really funny. Here is a picture of Tahya from this weekend opening her birthday gift from us.

Tuesday, 22 April

Got to sleep in today. :) Had doctors appointment so took the day off. Got up when Kurt got up, around 6:30, fed the animals and had some coffee. Kurt left for the day so I watched a little TV and then started cleaning up. I had already showered and was dressed so got to enjoy a nice relaxing morning. Around 8:30, Olivia got up so fed her and then gave her a bath. She was so happy, I think to sleep in a bit. Got her dressed and did her hair and then cleaned up the house a bit, did some laundry and the dishes, got the diaper bag packed up and we were out on the road by 10:30 am. We went to the mall, did some shopping. I got some great deals at Baby Gap, Macys and Sharper Image. We then met Kurt for lunch, we had Topz, (Healthy Burgers) - so good. After lunch, we all walked around for a bit before we had to head out to the doctors. I did stop at Toys R Us and got Olivia 2 pair of cowgirl boots. Really cute. We went to the doctors and everything went well. After that, came home and started working on the yard. Olivia was asleep so put her in her crib. I got 2 of the fountains up and running. I then got the old refrigerator off of the deck and put the grill on the deck. I cleaned the driveway and planted a tree for Earth Day. I got a lot accomplished. Olivia got up and we played outside. Kurt got home and he had lots of stuff for grilling. Had Michael and Dan over for dinner - it was a really nice evening. Ate dinner then cleaned up. Kurt did a great job of cooking. Got stuff ready for Wednesday then went to bed. It was a really nice day.

Monday, 21 April

New week begins. It was a good weekend so not too terribly upset about getting up and starting the week over again. I got up, Olivia was wide awake this morning - she was just singing away. So got her cleaned up and changed, fed her a bottle and we were out the door. Dropped her off at Daycare and went to the gym. Work good, not much to say about that. At lunch, went to Walmart to get Green Beans for Mocha and Wet Cat Food for the cats. Got a few snacks too - they make Baked Dorito 100 calorie packs now, yum. After work, picked up Olivia and I decided to surprise Kurt by getting the canopy up and all the patio furniture out. I got that done and did some more raking. Kurt got home and we hopped on our bikes, we biked over to Michael's place and the four of us (Olivia was riding with Kurt), picked up Thai food at Bangkok Cafe - My Favorite Thai food place. After picking up the food, we went back to D & M's house and ate dinner. So yummy. My food was delicious but too spicy so I only had a few bites of it. After dinner, we then rode back home and I worked on the tile while Kurt worked on the back yard pond. It was such a beautiful day. We had a really nice bike ride and Olivia was all smiles. Around 9:00, put Olivia to bed and then got to bed myself.

Sunday, 20 April

Got up, had some cereal and coffee then started doing the touch up painting in the living room. I must have been tired when I was painting last night because there was a lot of touching up to do. So worked on that for a couple of hours until Olivia got up. So got her up and fed her then changed and dressed her. Kurt got up around 11:00 and headed over to English Gardens to pick up some flowers for his parents. Their 40th Annivesary was Saturday. I finished up the painting and then cleaned the house, vacuumed and then got showered and dressed. I had to pick up some stuff at the store so did that and by the time I got home, Heather, Avy, Tahya, Mom and Dad were at the house. It was good to see everyone. We chatted for a while, Avy is so cute with Olivia. She just wanted to hold her. Tahya loved her birthday gifts. Olivia got a new toy from the girls - it's different shaped blocks that fit into a giant snail and it makes noses when you put the blocks into the right shape, it's very cute. I took the kids to the park and we played at the playground. The girls are so sweet, it was really fun spending time with them. After that, we walked back and then we all went to lunch at Rosey O'gradys. I had such a good afternoon, Tahya and I played pool, Avy helped me. Tahya won. We then went for Ice cream at Dairy Queen. So good. After that, came back to the house and we played Wii. It was a really nice afternoon. Shortly after that, everyone left for home and we took a little nap. Olivia, Kurt and I were out. We got up and I worked on the back yard while Kurt cooked dinner. Olivia hung out with me in her walker. She was having so much fun but she did have an allergic break out. Not sure what caused it but her face got all bumpy and warm. So brought her in and put an ice pack on it. The bumps went down and she was fine. We ate dinner and then started getting stuff ready for Monday. It was a really nice day. I fell asleep pretty quickly - so tired still. Great weekend.

Saturday, 19 April

Got up so early, the dogs/cats were all being crazy so got up to fed them with the intentions of going back to bed. Well at 5:30 am, Olivia started crying so got her to go back to sleep for alittle bit longer but she was up for good by 6:15 so got up and made coffee. Fed her and then watched a movie downstairs. Around 8:00 decided to start taping up the walls to paint the rest of the living room. Kurt got up around 11:00 am so I took a little break and made us breakfast (Ham and Cheese omlettes) - they were so good. After breakfast, I cleaned up and started the actual painting. It went by pretty fast. I had to go get some more supplies around 1:00 pm so went to Ace. I had finished all but 1 wall by 4:30. So Kurt got us lunch (Quiznos salads) so yummy. He took a break for a bit before going into work and I worked on the last wall. This wall sucked to paint because I got horrible paint tape that didn't stick and there were lots of obsitcles. So by 6:00 I finished painting and got most of the room cleaned up. Kurt went to Prontos to work, so I rushed and got Olivia bathed and dressed then took the quickest showere ever and got ready. At 7:00, I headed over to Mark and John's house to see Jim and Eric in visiting from Texas. It was great to see them and have them meet Olivia. They both looked great - so we hung out for about an hour - then they left to go to dinner and I took Olivia to the video store and then grocery shopping. Got home, unloaded the groceries and then put Olivia down for the night. I then for the next 3 hours cleaned the living room (We got our new refrigerator today too) So I got everything transferred from the old to the new frig. I was so tired but the time I was done. I fell asleep on the couch for a little while - so got upstairs and was asleep within minutes.

Friday, 18 April

It's Friday. Another fast week. Lots to do this weekend so I'm glad actually that it's suppose to be not so nice of weather. I have lots of painting to do. My goal is to finish the living room (I only have really 3 walls left to do but they are big walls and lots of taping... actually because of the half partition wall it's really 5 walls). My goal tonight is to get the breakfast bar wall and the half wall done and tomorrow do the wall with the bay window and the fireplace wall. If I break it up, it won't be too bad... oh and I have to fill in some grout areas because of the dog nails.... Ugh. This morning I did cardio and I felt good, I have more energy - I think it's because of being done with the antibiotics. Today should go by fast, lots to do. Day did go by fast and it's the weekend now. After work, picked up Olivia and we went home. Changed her, fed the animals and then we went outside. I started raking, I got a new rake so raked the yard while Olivia sat in her rolling chair. I had an umbrella to block the sun around her, she was moving around so fast. Where ever I raked she would walk over to that area. Very cute. Kurt got home just as I was finishing. He had to work this evening so he got changed and left right after getting home. I worked in the yard for a little while longer then came inside and got cleaned up. Olivia and I picked up Michael and Dan and we all went to dinner at The Fly Trap. So tastey. First time for Michael and Dan there. After dinner, dropped them off and then came home. Olivia and I hung out for a bit then it was time for her to go to bed. So I started taping off the living room, goal was to finish painting that room by tomorrow. So taped off the half way and the east wall then painted it the chocolate color. I finished around 1:30 with the second coat. So got everything cleaned up and went to bed. I was asleep within a few minutes.

Thursday, 17 April

Today was a very accomplishing day, I got a lot done so happy about that and it's beautiful outside. In the mid-70's. Woo Hoo. Did a really good workout this morning, did Shoulders - I like doing shoulders. So work, good - had a big meeting in the afternoon that I got to leave around 1:00 to go to and home after that. During my lunch I had to pick up some stuff at Lowes - I'm starting to paint the living room, finished the kitchen already. I also went to Target and got Olivia a new toy - it's a "Learning center" drum. She loves banging on pans so this should be fun for her. It has music, the alphabet and colors/shapes. I also got her a few tennis dresses. Really cute. After my meeting, got Olivia and we went home. She was a little cranky, she missed her nap so put her down for an hour and during that time I started painting the former Red wall - it's now chocolate. Took two coats and some touch up. Olivia got up in the middle of painting so fed her a snack and she played with her new toy. Kurt got home and I was just about done with the second coat of paint. He then got changed and worked in the garge. He put up a bunch of the cabinets from the old kitchen in the garage. Looks great. I made dinner, chicken with tomatoes and peppers, mashed potatoes and corn. It was really good. I also baked fat free cupcakes (no eggs or oil). I then gave Olivia a bath, cleaned up the kitchen and then worked on getting stuff done for tomorrow. I got pictures from my cousin - they just had a baby. Her name is Ellery Leigh, born 04/16/08 at 1:56 AM.

Wednesday, 16 April

CONGRATS TO AMY & MICHAEL - Amy had her baby.... I don't know the full details yet, I just heard about the good news. Congrats to Aunt Sue and Uncle Dale on becoming first time Grandparents. Such a wonderful family. Had a really good day and the weather I think was part of that. So nice out. My day was pretty usual - gym good, work day good, I was happy that Jen (From work) is back from maternity leave. She looks so good - already lost the baby weight. So after work, picked up Olivia and she was so happy - just singing all the way home. Fed the animals and then took Olivia outside and put up the canopy and got the patio furniture out. Spring is here... so nice out. When Kurt got home, we went for an hour 1/2 walk with the dogs and Olivia. We walked to M & D's house and then walked to 7 Eleven for a Sugar Free slurpee. Walked home and had a healthy dinner. After that, I started my nightly duties, getting coffee ready for tomorrow, making bottles, packing diaper bag, etc... Got done and had put Olivia to bed, she wasn't happy - she fell asleep during walk and she wasn't ready to go to bed but had to put her down. I then vacuumed the downstairs and folded clothes. After that it was bed time. I was asleep within 1/2 hour.

Tuesday, April 15

HAPPY TAX DAY! Glad we have been done with our taxes for over 2 months now. I feel really good this morning, not tired or sore (surprised because of the running yesterday). I had a good day at work, lots of research - that's about it for the most of the day. At lunch, I did cardio - ugh, I started feeling sore from the day before. Finished my day and picked up Olivia. She didn't take a nap during the day so when I picked her up she was really tired. Got home and put her down for a bit. Racked leaves for a while. Came inside and Olivia just started waking up. So changed her and fed her. Kurt got home and he played with her for a while - while he did that, I cleaned up and started getting stuff ready for Wednesday. At 7, I met up with Todd for dinner. Olivia was making friends with everyone. We ate and chatted for a bit. After that, came home and hung out with Kurt and Olivia. It was nice, we watched the biggest loser and ate ice cream. How ironic. I guess not ironic but more funny. Put Olivia to bed and she was out within a minute. Got to bed early and fell asleep within a few minutes.

Monday, 14 April

It's Monday, new week. I wanted to add this cute picture of Kurt and Olivia from yesterday. Today was a good day, I will be so glad though when I'm finally done with these anti-biotics, I should be done tomorrow. My stomach is just so messed up from them. So got up and did my daily duties and got Miss Olivia to daycare. She must have been tired because she was asleep the entire ride and didn't wake up even when I got her out of the car. So did a cardio workout in the morning and got to read the People and US magazine. Got to work and the day was good, busy and good. At lunch, I had to go to Home Depot (Return for the 3rd time the marble threshold - I have broken it twice now, long story but basically I'm a klutz). Then went to Lowes and got 3 more pieces of the trim for Kurt, went to English Gardens and picked up some flowers then back to work. I drank a lot of water at lunch time so that kept me up. Finished my day and picked up Olivia. She was so cute - when I picked her up, she started clapping and bouncing. Makes me feel so good. Got her home and we talked the entire way home. Fed the dogs, unloaded the car and then got changed. I took Olivia for a run, We ran to Mike and Dan's house then Mike and Jake went running with us. Ran about 3 1/2 miles I guess. Got home and I had ordered online - Pizza from Pizza Hut and they pulled up just as Kurt got home. Yummy. So we ate dinner and I fed Olivia, she loves Pizza. After dinner, I gave Olivia a bath and did some laundry. Then cleaned up and got stuff ready for Tuesday. It was a very nice relaxing night.

Sunday, 13 April

Got up around 7:30, ugh - so tired but I have no choice with the animals, they have to go out and eat. So took care of the animals and just as I was about to go back to bed my phone rang. So got up and made coffee, put away the dished from the dishwasher and started cleaning. Got 3 loads of laundry washed and folded, vacuumed the downstairs and then got Olivia's room cleaned up. I jumped in the shower, Kurt got up by then and started working on trim/crown molding in the kitchen. I headed out to pick up Olivia, made a few calls on the way, got a Tim Horton's coffee on the way too. Got to my parent's by 11:00 am, Olivia was walking with my mom, she was doing so well. Tracy dropped off a bunch of stuff for Olivia, new outfit and a bunch of shoes. So cool. Hung out with Shon and Hudson for a bit, Ivy is looking so much better, her cheek is almost back to normal. After a bit, came back home. Kurt was still working on the trim work, it just looks so nice. Kurt's Cousin, Robin stopped by yesterday - forgot to mention that and dropped off a gift for Olivia from Aunt Mona and Uncle Jack. It's so cute - a bathing suit, a cover- up, and a really cute book. So when we got back, I tried the clothes on Olivia and took pictures (the link is to the left under Photo Albums) She looks so cute. I then took pictures of Olivia in the new denim outfit from Shon and Tracy. Again, she looks so adorable. I took the pictures to CVS and made copies to mail out. I had put down Olivia for a nap, she was so tired and then ran to Lowes and Home Depot (While Kurt stayed home with her). We then got cleaned up, got Olivia up and we met up with Michael and Dan for dinner at Maggiano's. My favorite restaurant - the food is so good and you get so much of it. We ate dinner then went back to M & D's house for birthday cake. After that, came home - fed Olivia her last bottle for the night and put her to bed. Got everything ready for Monday and went to bed. So tired.

Saturday, 12 April

Got up around 7:30 or so, the dogs were driving me crazy and the cats were jumping on the bed to wake me up to feed them. So fed them and just as I was getting ready to go back to bed - Olivia woke up. So got her up and changed her, got a bottle ready and fed her. We then went down stairs and watched a movie (La Vie En Rose). I decided to do 1500 situps and play with Olivia while I did that. Not so easy. Kurt got up around 10:30 or so. We had some coffee and cereal and then got showered/dressed. We had the Bowling Tournament today so we headed out to Fairlane Bowling Alley at 12:30 and got there around 12:45. It was a lot of fun, I didn't bowl but had fun watching. Found out something cool, there is a friend of ours that all this time I had no idea we went to High School together, and in fact - his sister sat right by in Home Room every year. That was fun to reminise. I left around 2:00 pm to take Olivia to my parents house. I got there around 3:00 pm, hung out for a bit then came back to the bowling alley. I got back when they were just about done with the last game. Everyone had fun but I think they were all overserved. It was Dan, Michael, Mark, John and Kurt. After bowling, we picked up take out from Pronto! and headed home. We ate dinner and watched a very dumb movie "Walk Hard" the Dewey Cox story... very dumb. After that, got up and I baked a cake (from scratch) for Michael, it's his birthday. So did that and got dressed to go out. We then headed over to D & M's house. It was a lot of fun, Mark and John, Barry, Sarah, Kerrin, and a bunch of other people came over. So we hung out there for a couple of hours then went up to Pronto! Had so much fun, it was such a good evening. Got to see a bunch of people I haven't seen in a while. Joe Hickey, Jackson, Pete, Joel, Sean, Jon, Tom, Eric, Charlie, Kevin, it was just so much fun. We left around 1:30 am. Came home and fell asleep.

Friday, 11 April

It's Friday....... Well, we did have layoffs today but I'm okay - very happy about that, of course I feel bad for anyone that was let go. We were very lucky - for the most part, people in this office were not effected. We lost a rec. to hire a new employee so nobody with an existing position will be lost. So much happier when I found that out, today was a good day. Work was good, gym was good this morning and Olivia of course is always such an angel. At lunch time, I had some errands to run but still made it to the gym for a second time. After work, picked up Olivia and we headed home. She was talking talking talking. I have a little mirror that is on the back of the passenger seat that Olivia can look in, and she will will talk to herself the entire ride home. It makes me happy that she can keep herself occupied. Oh, I forgot to mention that I did leave work a little early today because I had to take care of something at our Head Quarters, I picked up Olivia on the way because one of our secretaries has been wanting to meet Olivia for the longest time. So I went to HQ, Olivia got to meet Gloria (Such a nice lady) and I took care of my server issues. We got home around 4:30, fed the dogs, brought in garbage cans, then did some laundry. Olivia and I had a full evening, we went to Home Depot and Lowes, got caught in the rain, got some coffee (Tim Hortons), came home and fed Olivia dinner, played for a while then put her to bed. I then finished the grouting of the tile, I worked until about 2:00 am. Long night but it's done. After that, cleaned up and went to bed.

Thursday, 10 April

I slept so good last night, I feel really energized - that could be all the coffee talking but I do feel a lot better than I have recently. So got up and did my regular schedule - Olivia was pretty tired this morning, she fell asleep drinking her bottle. So got her ready for Day Care and then dropped her off. Gym was okay. Work - good all day but near the end of the day found out we are having layoffs on Friday. So got nervous about that. Finished up my day and picked up Olivia. She saw me and she got so excited and put her hands up for me to pick her up. So cute. We got home and I changed her and then she got a snack, we played for a bit and after that I made dinner. Kurt got home and we ate - dinner was good, I made a Country Chicken and Vegetable dinner. After that, cleaned up and Kurt worked on the breakfast bar. I got everything ready for Friday, made lunches and coffee, did some laundry, packed up the diaper bag, got my gym clothes packed up and picked out an outfit for work. Olivia was playing and singing, she is so talkative. It was then time for a bottle and I rocked her to sleep. She must have been tired because she was out within a couple of minutes. After that, got ready for bed and watched a little TV.

Wednesday, 9 April

Midway through this week. I felt pretty refreshed this morning, I slept through the entire night without getting up once. Didn't have too much to do this morning since I got most of it done last night. So got dressed in my gym clothes, brushed teeth and then got Olivia's bottle warmed up. When I wake her up, I have been holding her for a while before actually "really" waking her up. She wants to sleep more - but I have to wake her up to change her, get her cleaned up and dressed and then fed her a bottle. She scratched herself a little bit last night, she got the socks off her hand, not bad but just a little scratch by her ear. She was very talkative this morning - just gabbering away, very cute. Kurt came into her room and talked with her for a while, she just had so much to say. After getting her ready, brought her into the living room while I got my stuff all ready to go. Now that she is in the big girl car seat and not the carrier, she gets to crawl around in the morning and she loves that. She fell asleep in the car on the way to day care and stayed asleep once I brought her in. Got to the gym and did a back workout. Work was good, made it there early, having D.C. so close - I can now get my workout in and get to work early again. Work has been good, new application is interesting so learning all about that. At lunch, I went to Nordstrom's looking for a birthday gift for a friend but instead got Olivia a new pair of pajamas and a sweater. Finished my day and then picked up Olivia. Had two appointments today, one was a follow up to the dermatologist for Miss. O and the other was a haircut. I haven't been to the saloon in almost 3 months... hair is long and out of control. So went to the first appointment and then got to M.A. Salon. Michael met me there to take Olivia home - Kurt showed up a few minutes later but because he lost his phone, I didn't know he was coming to pick her up or not. (Kurt found his phone later on in his gym bag... so silly). After getting my haircut, I went home. Kurt, Michael, Olivia and Dan got dinner in Birmingham but I ended up being at the Haircutting place a lot longer than I expected so I didn't go. Got home and changed then started painting the kitchen. I did a second coat of the chocolate paint on the one wall and then taped up and painted the wall by the kitchen door. I really like the new colors. I should be done with all the painting on Thursday. After that, made up bottles, cleaned up, got Olivia ready for bed, fed her a bottle and then put her to bed. Got all my stuff ready for Thursday and then went to bed. I was in bed asleep by 10:00. :)

Tuesday, 8 April

Got up, still really tired but feeling pretty good. I was able to get Olivia up and ready early this morning, dropped her off and went to the gym. Did a chest workout - I pushed myself. Work was okay, busy - at lunch time, went to Home Depot and returned the stuff I got yesterday and then went to Lowe's to buy the right switch plates. Back to work and finished my day. Picked up Olivia and headed home. I was home by 4:17 - great timing. Olivia was really talkative, so while she chatted I changed the light switches and plates in the kitchen. After that, I made dinner - Kurt got home and he chilled out with Olivia while I finished up on dinner. We ate, it was good - I made country chicken (Biscuit base with chicken, vegetables and broth on top and then baked). Kurt had to go run some errands so I started taping up one of the walls in the kitchen and then painted it. We are going with a dark cocoa color and a lighter tan. It should turn out really nice. I finished the wall and then got Olivia fed. She was hungry, had a giant jar of food and then juice then a bottle right before bed. I got a lot of stuff done so pretty much went to bed early, around 9:30.

Monday, 7 April

New week begins..... Well, it's been a really good day. Got up and Olivia was awake already, just singing away, pulling her socks off and shake them around. I did her hair last night so it was a quick brushing of her hair and got her cleaned up and dressed, fed her, brushed her teeth and then we were out of there. First day of day care and her first time in a big girl car seat. She out grew the carrier so it's now a regular car seat. She loves it because she can see everything now. Got her to daycare and went over stuff with the day care owner. Went to the gym and then to work, it was another good and busy day. At lunch, went to Linen's and Things but didn't buy anything then went to the gym and did cardio. Got back to work and finished my day. After work, picked up Olivia and we went to Home depot. Got the paint, grout, light switch covers and a few other things then headed home. Let the dogs out and fed them, Kurt got home shortly after that. I had a busy night, taking care of Olivia, picking up dinner, getting movies, cleaning the house, doing laundry, dishes, making bottles, getting everything ready for Tuesday -was a lot of work. I also made a white chocolate moose pie for us. Got to bed around 9:30 and I was pretty much asleep as soon as I laid down.

Sunday, 6 April

So tired but did sleep till about 7:30 though. Fed the dogs and cats and made some coffee. I miss not having Olivia to wake up. So I watched the movie "The Deer Hunter" - very good but disturbing movie. Kurt got up around 10:00 and quickly started in the kitchen. This weekend has made the difference in the kitchen. Painting won't start till next week but for the most part - it's functional and just about done. So I worked outside on cleaning up the yard, it was beautiful outside. I took the dogs for a walk. My mom brought Olivia home around noon so got to show her the kitchen. I went and got us all lunch so we ate and then my mom had to leave. Played with Olivia for a while, we went outside and she played on her scooter. She loves banging on stuff like bongos, so I got some spoons out and a tin can and she played the drums. I got the yard cleaned up, raked and cleaned up all the loose twigs. Around 7:00 pm, we drove to Michael and Dan's house and then all of us with Jake went for a walk to the Dairy Queen and got some ice cream. I got my favorite, cherry dipped soft serve ice cream. Olivia got her first taste of ice cream and loved it. We then walked back, on the way Olivia lost a shoe so we got back to the car and drove around looking for it - and we actually found it. :) I'm so happy because of all the shoes, these were the most expensive. Got home, put Olivia to bed and then got everything ready for Monday and Olivia's first day of her new day care. Got to bed around 9:30 or so. I was exhausted. Fell fast asleep.

Saturday, 5 April

Got up early, Ugh - so tired but the dogs were acting crazy so let them out and fed them then shortly after Olivia got up. So little Miss Sunshine and I had breakfast and then gave her a bath. Most of the day was spent working on the kitchen. Kurt fixed the water issue from yesterday - yeah, water again. I worked on finishing up the tile and Kurt worked on the cabinets and the counters. I'm attaching a picture of what it looks like now.. It looks so great. What's left is the grouting of the tile and just the finishing work, like trim and the crown molding. Kurt has done such an amazing job. So around 4:30, I dropped Olivia off at my parent's house. Mom and Dad were going to watch her overnight. So hung out with my parents for a while, Shon, Tracy, Ivy and Hudson came over too. Stayed just for a short while then headed home. I got home and we immediately went to Lowe's to get some more of the counter stuff and new sink. We got home and Kurt feverishly got most of the counters installed and then we got cleaned up. Michael and Dan came over and we had a cocktail before going out. We then went to Pronto! Had so much fun, saw so many people I haven't seen in a while. It was a really fun night, got home around 1:30 / 2:00 am. We ate left over Chinese food and then went to bed.

Friday, 4 April

It's Friday... so happy that the weekend is almost here. Got up and felt pretty good, I've been taking Joint medication everyday this month and it's just starting to get into my system and I'm feeling pretty good. Got up and fed the dogs, Riley is doing so much better too. He stopped limping about a week ago and since he has been on his medication - he is acting like a puppy again. (Even though he is 9) Olivia was up, I think she knows the sound of the microwave because as soon as the bottle was done being heated she was up. So got her up, changed and fed her - she is the cutest thing ever and she just makes me smile. Today is the last day of daycare at Michelle's so took her in and went to the gym. I got 9 workouts in this week plus 4 walks after work. Work is going well, I have lots to keep me busy. After work, came home and played with Olivia. She was in a talking mood so we chatted and played. Kurt got home for a few minutes but had to go to work at Pronto!. So he left, I started on the tile floors - I forgot to mention that I picked up the rest of the tile and a cabinet after work. We then left to go meet Michael and Dan for dinner at Peking House. My favorite restaurant... Yum. After dinner, came home and to my surprise the basement was flooding. When Kurt disconnected the water to the freezer - it must have become detached to the main water source that was in the ceiling of the bar. I had to shut off the main water supply and then clean up the mess. Not fun. Luckily Olivia was asleep when I got home so I just put her to bed and then cleaned up the mess. I then finished tiling the kitchen, got done around 1:30 am or so. Cleaned up and went to bed around 2:00 am. Very long day.

Thursday, 3 April

Got up this morning and was just so tired. I'm running on empty lately, no energy and just not getting enough sleep. So got up, did the daily routine and dropped off Olivia. At the gym, I did an AB workout. Got over 1000 situps in. Work is going well, got a new project to workout on - actually a whole new reporting tool for our SQL databases so enoying learning about that. The work day went by fast, really fast. At lunch, I did more sit-ups, got another 1000 in. Finished up the day and picked up Olivia. I was not very happy when I picked her up, there was someone else there besides Michelle taking care of Olivia and she didn't know about the lotion for her skin so Olivia's face was all cracked and dry. So aggravating. Brought her home and changed her, put on the lotion and she looked a lot better but because her skin was left dry for so long it got a bunch of bumps on it. We played and she practiced walking with me. Kurt got home and I made some dinner. I picked up some movies at Blockbuster, Kurt went out with Mark and John for a bit. After putting Olivia down for the night, I worked on the floors - the tiling is getting close to being done. Went to bed around 11:30 or so and that's just about the time Kurt got home.

Wednesday, 2 April

Couldn't sleep last night, stressed about Daycare but I think I found one this morning, I have an interview this evening so hopefully they meet all our requirements. So far so good though. So got Olivia up and got her ready, Kurt was up and packed lunches, made coffee and we were on the road early. Olivia crawled this morning from the bedroom to the living room and back to the bedroom. She is so fast. After dropping her off I went to the gym and did a back workout. I pushed myself, lots of extra weight. Then got to work and it was a really good day, lots to do and I'm going to be taking on some new responsiblities so happy about that. At lunch, worked out - I worked out with a friend so it went by fast. Had lunch back at the office, Kurt made a really good sandwich. Finished up my day and then headed out to pick up Olivia. We had some time to kill because our interview with Daycare wasn't until 6:00 pm so we went to Lowe's, the Dollar Store and then to Macy's. Olivia got some new headbands, new summer outfit, new sweat jacket and two pair of shoes. I had an iced tea with Dan while there. Then went to the interview and it went really well, I have one more to go to and then I have to make a decision. After that, picked up Take out for dinner, came home and we ate our healthy meals, watched a little TV then had a bunch of work around the house to do. Kurt is about 1/2 done with the floors now, he should finish up probably by this weekend. Once that is done, we can finish up the cabinets (I mean Kurt can finish the last two cabinets). I'm going to start painting this weekend the living room. After that, it's the kitchen then just the finishing stuff and we will be done.
